An article about Autopia's hybrid cars... tl;dr - since 2010 they have been updating the Autopia cars to hybrids - 50% less fuel consumption, less noise, less emissions - the cars can now be started in the morning by pressing a button (the old ones had to be started like a lawnmower) - the vehicles are now equipped with anti-collision sensors source: Disneyland Paris -

Well, here we go. Big Thunder Mountain is now closed until January 2017 for a massive refurbishment. It will also be updated with which were added to the ride in California last year. Meanwhile, scaffolding is coming down around It's A Small World, revealing its new colors. The ride will reopen December 19. Good news, everyone! The Monster is finally getting a station building and a paintjob! It will be themed to pirates (which will be a new land for the park) and it's rumored to be painted light-brown. Looks great! And it only took 6 seasons! In other news, Anaconda will be further refurbished, and will also become part of the new pirate zone. Some more artwork: source: Waly.biz -
