  1. That's a LOT better than the 2003 Toyota Highlander my mom drives.
  2. I was just wondering. I believe I saw some kind of Hundai on your 'moving to California' video on CE3. Do you still have that or have you replaced it?
  3. They're awesome sense of humor? Just being at the right place at the right time? Robb's awesome display pic?
  4. - Favorite new coaster X/X2 - Favorite new ride Intamin Rocket Coaster - Favorite new(ish) park Silverwood. It really began to become a theme park shortly after Panic Plunge was added in 2003. - Most memorable park moment First visit to SFMM. - Most memorable coaster moment. I was on Steel Eel @ SWT when I dropped my walkie talkie and it began to float on the bunnie hills because of the airtime. - Best ERT session None, really. - Least favorite coaster Tie between Ghostrider and Mean Streak - Least favorite ride Vekoma Boomerang - Least favorite park Wild Waves Theme Park - Most interesting ride you've seen introduced Tie between S&S Sky Swat, S&S Sky Sling, and Intamin Ball Coaster - Least interesting ride you've seen intoduced Amazingly, I can't think of one... Wait... Zamperla 'moto coaster'. - Your favorite TPR moment (favorite post, trip report, video, whatever!) Being there at the Filming of the TS:TR video - The decade's biggest flop Tie between Vertigo @ Walibi Belguim, the Vekoma GIB, and (sadly) the S&S Sky Sling - The decade's biggest success Intamin Rocket Coaster - The best meal you've had at a park I'm pretty sure this doesn't count, but Wingstreet after our first day @ DCA. Can't think of any good meals inside parks this year. - The worst meal you've had at a park Cold pizza @ HH @ SFGAm - Best park turnaround KBF - Worst park turnaround Wild Waves Theme Park. What turnaround? - What was the biggest trend of this past decade? In terms of coasters, althouh not until 07-08, adding special effects to rides. In terms of this decade, cell phones.
  5. ^It is. You first have to download a system update (if you don't have the most current version). Then, you have to make a Playstation Network account (unless you have one). Finally, you have to go to the Playstation Store and enter the code on the back of a PSP game card (you can buy them at several places that sell video games), or browse the store and buy something you like. If you buy a game via a PSP game card, you have to redeem the code by entering it into the 'redeem code' section of the store (a task in itself with the rather weird PSP typing system, it hasn't changed on the Go). Enter the code or buy the game from the store, and then you have to download it. This part isn't that much of a big deal, but you have to make sure the system doesn't go into sleep mode while downloading. I had to go to my barber's (yes, barber's) house twice in order to download Gran Turismo PSP, and it still hasn't worked. The main problem for me is that I don't really have a source of wireless internet, and I'm having a lot of trouble hooking up our router. It also takes a long time for some games to download; my 940 mb GT PSP takes at least 1 1/2 hours to download. So you need patience, the newest system version, and a wireless internet connection in order to get anywhere. Sony really made a 'jump off a cliff and pray to God there's a deep river at the bottom' decision with the PSP Go, but so far they're looking at landing on solid concrete with the complication of operating the system.
  6. 1. A pretty cool idea. Now I just need $40-$50.... 2. It all sounds pretty good, so far. 3. Very much so. 4. The only problem is that I don't go on many trips, but I hope I can soon. 5. So far, so good. Just put the idea into action.
  7. I finally got the file downloaded, but I clicked it and it said "Error -2048: Couldn't open the file TPR_2009_Christmas_Present.mp4 because it is not a file that QuickTime understands." Does that mean I need to redownload?
  8. Here's mine. A minute later after I turn it on. Possibly our last Christmas tree in Seabeck, since we're most likely moving next year. I wake up to this.
  9. I already posted this in the 'Happiness Pie' Thread, but I got the new Bose Quiet Comfort 15 noise cancelling headphones, a PS3, a PSP Go, a blue 2nd controller for my PS3, a 3-way charger for DS lite, DSi, and PSP, and some new earbuds for my iPod. Can't forget Robb's nice 24 pack video download, either.
  10. ^Good grades and a lack of want during my birthday paid off! "We now have a source of Bluray, something non existant until 2006!" and yes, proof of Bluray capabilities. (Sorry for the blurriness, I took this in unusual lighting conditions) ...proof of PSP Go... Proof of noise cancelling headphones...
  11. I got the new Bose Quiet Comfort 15 heaphones, a PS3, a PSP Go, and a new set of earbuds for my iPod. I should also mention the nice gift of 24 videos Robb gave us all.
  12. I found a pretty cool TPR Pen in the glove box of my mom's car today. I have absolutely no idea on how it got there, but it was there, and it's the coolest pen I've ever used. Does TPR send them out with special orders from the TPR Store or something?
  13. ^I agree with him. A little shrubbery would look nice. Also, I don't really like the colors of the drop tower. A more colorful scheme would look better. Aside from that, everything is great.
  14. ^Yeah, you can tell I was up doing this at 1:00. ^^Yes, it's a DSi camera.
  15. DAY 5: Knott's Berry Farm What's amazing is that I was just at Knott's about 1 month ago, but the last time before that was 11 years! We originally weren't planning on hitting Knott's up, but surprise, surprise, we did! As most people would say, Xcelerator is the standout and really one of the only reasons for going to Knott's. However, for those who haven't visited, you should certainly make an effort to try a little bit of everything. On to the photos! Cool Silver Bullet other-than-pink-&-white-K-B-F-trash-can trash can. I'll end this part of the update for now. Thank's for reading, and I hope that circle thing didn't give you a seizure! Vlad the pharmacist..... is back. After a crappy ride like that, I could sure use some food. Tehehehehe.... Colossal Buns. YOU SUCK CCI! Today, Ghostrider went from being 'up there' to being possibly worse than Mean Streak! No, Mean Streak is worse. Still, it was pretty crappy. Ok, I've never really thought coasters were tempermental, but OMG I will never doubt it again! My FREAKING SPINE! OWWWOWWWOWW!! Ughhh...... I feel like I just rode my bike at 60mph down a gravel rode without tires....OW! Ready to ride! Meh, close enough. Bronze colored CCI train. "Yay, Ghostrider!" Meow! Turtle! (My DSi camera can't zoom in, so you'll have to look by the rock with the supporting pole to find him) Hah, I just came from the place where this originated. Dad disapproved bench. "What used to stand here was MUCH MUCH MUCH better than what stands here now!!!" Bad grammer. "Another Lucario/Patrick approved S&S tower that 'almost' matches my fur color!" "It almost matches my fur color...." Right about there it makes a cool popping noise. Like before, the yellow tower wasn't operating. (but I learned that yellow wasn't a launch side, so I wasn't that disappointed) I finally get my Supreme Scream credit. Xcelerator block of approval. "Unfortunately, the ride op saw me hiding in Patrick's pocket, so she told me to sit in the bin. Missed Intamin credit = FAIL!" This time, my hands are NOT blocking my mom's face! Patrick approved Intamin ride. Intamin wheel assembly/train hitch shot for my fellow Intamin nerd friends! NOTED! Well shut up, I've got plenty more where that came from! (Note the guys in the front seat) Getting tired of the Intamin shots?? Mid-launch Intamin shot! These chicks are about to say hello to my good ol' pal Rick! Rick is going to accelerate them from 0-80 mph in less than 2.5 seconds. ...and this train will have a huge dent in the front of it. In about 4 months, these brake fins and all this track will look like shredded beef..... Z00M! Not going to get my purple train credit today. These brake fins hiss a lot quieter than the ones on Top Thrill Dragster. The ones of TTD are deafening! I give permission for anyone to lick their screen with all these Intamin track pictures! But I assume no liability for damages done to you if your computer screen shocks your tongue. NOTED! Mmmmmm......... More Intamin track! Look's like KBF's trying for some 1950's Batman queue themeing. Mmm..... Intamin track! The green and purple section of the park is doing fine today. Xcelerator makes a dull roar when it goes by. And this photo (if you look at the black dot in the middle of each circle, stare for a second, and look at another one) makes most people go nuts! This photo makes Xcelerator look purple.... Now that I like S&S rides, I think I'll try Supreme Scream. Delerium: The Year-After The hammer game for people with arthritis. Mack really makes sexy rides! The park's other S&S Tower. Been there, done it, got the DVD. Robb's right: It is the most 'family like' B&M Invert. Not forceless, but not B:tR. Hello "Thomas". America's 1st Theme Park? That belongs to Lake Compounce! IDK why lots of California woodies have tunnels. Popular demand? Low wood costs? "Note Knott's groovy purple trash cans! Yeah, can't beat that, SFMM." The next thing Knott's needs to do is repave the parking lot! "We are NOT going to make the same mistake we did last time!" I was happy looking at Ghostrider to begin with. Little did I know I would be feeling way different a few hours later! This looks awfully familiar.... One of the better themed BK's I've ever seen. It's only 10 minutes from DLR (near where we were staying) to Buena Park! TWO awesome parks within short driving distance from each other, something unavaliable where I live...
  16. We have that exact same ornament! It's the ornament for coaster fanatics, so of course it should be on your tree.
  17. I really hope I can attend this year's WCB, the last one looked like it kicked some serious !
  18. Wow, I haven't been hearing much about this at all! Then again, I'm the same guy who didn't know that Premier made a ride last year, so..... ^^Same here. Waiting 'till action is taken.
  19. ^Is that thing on the left like the one on the Stratosphere in Vegas?
  20. ^And it couldn't be much sweeter!
  21. My dad's looking at some cool orders, including San Diego, CA, several places in Virginia, Newport, RI, and even one to Naples, Italy. So far, mom and I think Naples looks coolest.
  22. ^^It can't be an Arrow Corkscrew, the train in the picture has lapbars. I'm thinking some kind of Arrow or Vekoma mine train.
  23. I'm having trouble trying to extract some CTRs into my ObjDat folder. On Winrar, whenever I click on the ride and try to extract the ride file into the ObjDat folder, it says the name of the file and something to do with 'Access is denied.' Somebody sent me a folder with all of the rides to make it a little easier and I tried to do the same thing. This time, it gave the file name for each file and said 'The system cannot find the path specified'. Does anyone know how this can be fixed, or an easier way to get the CTRs to the ObjDat folder? Thank's in advance for any help, this is really bugging me.
  24. ^Thursday. Actually, it wasn't that dead, I guess I didn't get that many pictures of people.
