Volton NL released track
Xpress posted a topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Volton is a track I was working on a long time ago, but completely forgot about it. I discovered it last weekend when I was browsing through my files, and decided to continue on with it. I tried 4 times to AHG it untill it was perfect, then handed it over to CCJared (well I showed him, and he wanted to finish it up) who then supported, and added some 3Ds and an environment. The result was pretty sweet, so here's a nearly fully finished track- for now. The final release I will add 3Ds theming one day when I find the interest to. Download Enjoy -
^Thanks Supports are now going in:

Hmm, no. Not yet anyways Have you ever went to a concert and realised it didn't start for another 4 hours?

Motley Crue at the Cox Arena San Diego, February 2nd this year. Best fricken concert I've been to. They may be in their 50's, but they still rock as hard as ever.

Update. Got the layout finished, and spent another hour working on the tophat. It's now smooth as can be- just have to work on some bankings to get the twists as lateral free as possible. Right now, it gets to -0.6 on both sides. I also made a cartexture: Edit: Just realised I double posted. Sorry..

[NL] Project Kali!
Xpress replied to thrillrideseeker's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Eh, the tophat looks too straight to be realistic. Might also want to make sure it's heartlined, and has a very parabolic top like Intamin is famous for. -
Better? Newton-ified Gotta sort out the exit of the tophat to the entrance to the first airtime hill. Pumpy..

XSIV is my idea of what the iSpeed coaster at Mirabilandia. It's an Intamin, but packs a punch with multiple airtime hills, multiple inversions (zero-g-rolls included), and the kickoff- a 67mph launch with a 162ft. tophat. Ride is still progressing: The layout sofar

AC/DC The Ride

Lol, I made a coaster named after their Thunderstruck song. AC/DC is a band worthy of having a coaster made after them. -
Voltage - NL

^OR we can wait for the final product -
^They use something called "cartextures". They're in the NoLimits Coaster Cartextures folder, labeled appropriately (I.E. for the intamin hyper, it's labeld as inthypcartexture.png). You open this in whatever photo editing program (for me I use artweaver, which is almost as powerful as photoshop) you like, erase the "NoLimits Coaster" logo, and then make your own in it's place. Some guys use a graphic tablet to draw their own designs onto the cartexture, even drawing in the letters, adding fading effects, or glowing effects on their own. It can get pretty meticulous, but for the most part, it's not all that diffcult to do for a simple effect. Just get a font from say 1001fonts.com, put the file on your pc, open up the program and remove the logo, and put in your font there. You can normally add a few simple effects to make it a bit more eye catching, or softer on the eyes.

^Generally, to get the bankings to be at zero, you have to use a higher precision, say 15-20 if your track has smooth transitions. AHG doesn't like to use over 16 though, so set this last. Also, with the increase in precision, you need to increase the filter. ~450 will be fine. The X-car has a heartline of 1.3, same as the floorless.

NoLimits Coaster News!
Xpress replied to Loefet's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Ole may have already made all the coater types he's going to include into NL2, and is just saving them for last, and is now working on the environment. Seeing as the environment is significantly larger then the coasters themselves (and knowing he probably has a whole team that can work on the coasters) it's taking him the longest to make it. I really like the environment though. Grass is something I've always wanted, as well as realistic trees, and RAIN!! Of course it's all just a theory to how me is making it...
