Yeah... because most amusement parks which have been probably charge something like $11 for one -
What is your next park?
IrishBuckeye replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Holiday World, hopefully. -
jenseib, Just wanted to say I have looked through this and some of your other TRs here. You do outstanding work with both your photos and TRs. Very detailed and enjoyable. Keep up the good work! I'm in my late 20s with no kids, so most wouldn't expect me to be all that interested in Disney. But your TRs are so excellent they make me interested and keep me reading.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
IrishBuckeye replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This question was asked during the Pointbuzz off-season event, while they were discussing luminosity. And they said yes, it is staying. They probably aren't going to mention it very much, and might not even call it the "Starlight spectacular" anymore, because they want the entire nighttime focus to be on luminosity. But I think leaving it in is a good idea. FrontierTown used to be really dark to walk through at night before they added this last year. -
I've visited Cedar Point 4 times recently, 2 by myself, and 2 with one of my best friends (who I call nina). I went by myself on 6/27 and 6/30, and with Nina on 6/6 and 6/7. Sorry, no photos this time. I have done Photo TRs of CP before. First of all for the lone wolf visits, I normally wouldn't go to CP by myself, but I just happened for be in the area that week so I figured why not. A chance for me to get some laps in on my favorite coasters. Monday 6/27 was my first visit, and I had my season pass processed upon arrival, very fast with no issues. No complaints. It was a very nice day outside, the crowds weren't bad at all, and wait times were around normal. I enjoyed a funnel cake from a vendor near the frontier town entrance (I think its called "Toot sweets"). Talk about fattening. At this vendor, you can get a funnel cake with a large amount of ice cream on top, (and I mean large, not just one or two scoops), with fudge topping if you want. Just looking at one of those was like a heart attack. But I didn't get the ice cream or toppings, just a regular cake. I spent roughly 7 hours in the park, mostly focused on my favorite rides, not anything with a real long wait since I was by myself. The longest wait I had was 45 minutes for Millennium Force. I passed on Maverick since the wait was 1 hour. And I did get wet, with short waits for both Shoot the Rapids and Snake River Falls. (ride counts below). On Thursday 6/30, I arrived at 9AM with a good parking spot, and took advantage of the early entry for pass holders. I was confused as to where exactly to go for the early entry, as it now works differently than it does in previous seasons I was a passholder. It turns out I did enter the park at the right entrance for early entry, but I didn't realize it at first. After sorting out all my confusion, I got in line for MF, which was all the way back to the red garter saloon, but a short wait since the queues weren't fully open. I rode MF twice with about a 20 minute wait each time. Always a blast. Those intense G-forces are a nice way to wake up in the morning. After MF, I rushed back to Maverick and by the time I got there the park was open to the public. Maverick was about a 45 minute wait but very well worth it. I've always liked Maverick but didn't consider it in my top 3 of CP coasters. However, its really beginning to grow on me the more I ride it. The feeling you get going over the first hill which is steeper than straight down is incredible, along with the tunnel launch in the middle of the ride. I'm not a fan of the OTS restraints, and find myself having to really lean into the turns, but the ride is enjoyable nonetheless. After Maverick, the rest of the day was pretty much the same as before. Ate lunch at the gameday grille, which is one of my preferred places to eat inside the park. Magnum XL-200 will always be my favorite ride at Cedar Point, because of the airtime. Followed closely by Millennium Force. I spent roughly 7 hours in the park on both days, and really enjoyed myself. About all I could expect for a loner visit. Rides 6/27: MagnumXL-200 X5 Gemini X3 Blue Streak X2 Millennium Force Shoot the Rapids Snake River Falls Rides 6/30: Magnum XL-200 X3 Millennium Force X2 Maverick Gemini Skyhawk On July 6th, I drove the hour long trip from Cleveland to Sandusky with my friend Nina. We stayed 2 nights at the Comfort Inn on Cleveland Road just off the causeway. Nice hotel and I have no complaints about it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nina slept very well both nights (and she normally is a very light sleeper). On the 6th we got to the park just after 12 pm, and were there until close (with a break at the hotel included). After taking in a couple rides on Magnum, was decided to head over to soak city and cool off as it was already humid. We had a nice swim in the wave pool and lazy river, and then went back into the park. One of my biggest complaints about Cedar Point is how ridiculously short the seatbelts are for MF and TTD. Particularly TTD. I need a lot of help every time I go to ride it. I skipped TTD but we did ride MF, another ride I just barely it into. (I'm 6'1", 260 lbs, 40 inch waist, just for the record). I've talked to other people who aren't even as big as me and they say they barely fit on either MF or TTD or both. Later that evening, we waited about 90 minutes to get on Maverick, due to a mechanical breakdown. We were right at the bottom of the stairs that go up to the platform when the ride stopped operating, and wasn't operating for a while. So many people left the queue that when the ride finally started back up, we were on one of the first 3 trains. Maverick is Nina's favorite ride at CP, with all the twists and turns and the launch tunnel, and she was very glad we rode it. We wanted to ride Skyhawk afterwards but while in line it broke down as well. So we finally headed to MF and got in line just before the park closed, and rode MF to end the day. I absolutely love riding MF at night, its a wonderful experience. Due to a long break at the hotel and going to soak city, we didn't get a lot of rides in, but it was still a fun time. The next day, July 7th, was one of the best days I ever spent at Cedar Point. We got atleast one lap in on every single ride and coaster I could possibly have wanted to ride, with the exception of Raptor. I often find myself skipping Raptor due to its long lines. We arrived just after 9am, into the early entry and went straight for MF. This time, the line was all the way back across the railroad and almost to the wildcat. We were on within 30 minutes. Afterwards, we made a break for Maverick. I forget exactly how long we waited for Maverick this time but I don't recall it being a long wait. After a spin on the Gemini, we finally decided to head for what I had been dreading, Top Thrill Dragster. I sat in the test seat in front of the queue on dragster, and with a little effort me and Nina were able to get it to fit. The posted wait was 90 minutes, but we were on the train in a little less time than that. I needed the help of 2 ride attendants to get the seatbelt fastened, but they were atleast nice and never forced me off the ride. I've ridden TTD a handful of times now, and there simply is nothing else like it. From 0 to 60 in one second. From 0 to 120 in four seconds. Although I was permitted to ride, I still say the seatbelts for both TTD and MF are way too short. In addition to riding coasters, we got some flats in as well, including the new Windseeker. Windseeker was a neat experience as it holds you 300 feet in the air and keeps you there for a while, giving you a fantastic view of the park. Its not an aggressive white-knuckle thrill ride, but I don't think that is the point. Windseeker is an experience just as much as a ride. Another flat I am falling in love with is Skyhawk. You get some major airtime on the high swings, and if you lean back you see everything upside down. Also rode Power Tower, CP's S&S Tower, going down. It probably isn't the nicest tower out there, but is still a fun ride. Good airtime on the drop. For lunch, we wanted to go to Johnny Rockets but there was a big crowd and a long wait. So we settled for Gameday Grille instead. Gameday Grille was understaffed and it took us a long time to get our drinks and food, but atleast the food was good. I ordered the collassal hot dog which I couldn't finish, and Nina ordered wings. During the day we also enjoyed Ice Cream from the Toft's parlor, located at the front of the park, on the right side if you are walking in the main entrance. Toft's has very good ice cream and I highly recommend checking it out. After a break at the Hotel, we came back to the park and were pleasently surprized in two ways. One, the weather had really cooled off and it wasn't humid anymore, and secondly, the park didn't seem nearly as crowded as it was earlier in the day. Upon returning we parked in the Soak City lot and took a couple spins on Magnum, always a winner. Then we cooled off with 2 rides on Snake River Falls, both times it was a near walk-on. After this we rode Skyhawk twice, my thoughts on it summarized earlier. After Skyhawk, we made our way through Frontiertown, where the starlight experience was going on, and to Millennium Force. The starlight experience is really neat, and I especially enjoy walking through it after the park closes, going back through frontiertown on the way to the soak city lot. It sure beats walking through the old dead dark frontiertown at night. Got to MF just after 9PM. The posted wait time was 75 minutes, but we were on in under 60. There simply are no words to describe how awesome MF is in the dark. I like going up the first hill, how it goes up so fast and you can't see anything unless you're in the front row, like you're on a runaway train in the sky. And then the first hill and nothing but constant speed after that. This time, when coming out the third tunnel near the end of the ride, there were fireworks going off from the show in the middle of the park. A wonderful end to the trip, seeing fireworks while riding MF. I enjoyed myself at Cedar Point (just as always), and have no complaints other than the seatbelts mentioned above, and the overpriced food which almost everyone knows about. Rides July 6th: Magnum XL-200 X2 Millennium Force X2 Gemini Blue Streak Maverick Sky Ride Soak City Lazy River and Wave Pool Rides July 7th: Millennium Force X2 Magnum XL-200 X2 Top Thrill Dragster Maverick Blue Streak Gemini Power Tower Down Snake River Falls X2 Windseeker Skyhawk X2 Total combined rides - All 4 Visits: Magnum XL-200 X12 Millennium Force X7 Maverick X3 Gemini X6 Top Thrill Dragster X1 Blue Streak X4 Skyhawk X3 Snake River Falls X3 Windseeker X1

GAME: What's worse than...
IrishBuckeye replied to MayTheGForceBeWithYou's topic in Random, Random, Random
Losing your wallet. Whats worse than hearing a little kid with a whiny voice ask a stupid question? -
I was at CP Friday for coastermania day 1. A few highlights from my day (sorry, no pics this time): -Arrived around 2PM, got registered for CM and got our free t-shirt. For some reason they only had one booth open for CM arrivals, but nonetheless it was all done in about 5 minutes. It was certainly one of the longest days I ever had at the point, as we left after midnight. -Got to ride Magnum 5 times, including 2 in the CM ERT session. Awesome as usual, with one exception. For 3 of our rides, we sat in the infamous third row "ejector seat". A great ride the first two times, but the third was EXTREMELY PAINFUL, something I had never before experienced in my many rides on Maggie. On the homestretch of the ride with all the hills, it seemed like the ride was going faster than usual through this part. The lapbar might have been pushed in a little too tight as well, as going over each of those hills, my thighs were being crushed into the lapbar, and it was VERY painful. For a few minutes I could barely walk. Other than that all was well, and it was Magnum xl-200 airtime as usual. -Got to see the starlight experience for a first time. It was impressive, and a MAJOR improvement over the lighting in FrontierTown last year, which was basically none. Being a season pass holder in '08, and usually parking in the back lot near soak city/magnum, Walking back to the car at night was kinda strange since Frontiertown wasn't lit at all, and you could barely see anything. Much different story this year. The lights, animations, and decorations are very neat and worth checking out. Big improvement CP. -Got to ride TTD, but not before putting up with some badword. We waited about an hour for it, we got on and I was having trouble getting my seatbelt fastened. I'm certainly not a small guy, but I've never had trouble before with any seatbelts, including the ones on TTD and MF. I think the seatbelts on TTD may have been shortened this year and I was having trouble getting it on. The way I understand it, the workers who assist on the platform with restraints, are supposed to make a best effort to get the seatbelt to fasten before turning someone away. Well, the guy who was supposed to be helping me was an absolute badword. He tried for like 2 seconds and then told me to get off the ride. I asked him to try again, "Get off, It's not gonna work" was his reply. In shock, not knowing what to think, I calmly went off the ride to the exit while my GF rode without me. After she got off the ride, we immediately proceeded to the ride entrance where they have the seat you can sit in and test the seatbelt. It was a bit of a struggle, but we were finally able to get it on and secured properly. I had been turned away from riding, UNNECESSARILY. I had a few words with the entrance clerk, (or whatever you call the employee who sits at the entrance with the height pole). I tried pleading my case with him, but it was hopeless. The guy was hispanic and could barely understand any english. This is another thing that pisses me off about CP.... they hire people who can't speak/understand english and then put them in high-visibility positions. Starting to get really furious, I decided we would speak with someone in guest services. Near the TTD exit, we asked an employee sweeping the park if there was someone we could speak with. She was extremely nice to us, and led us to the ride exit, where someone was finally willing to help us. They let me on, this guy was able to get me secured in a few seconds, and I was able to ride! My GF got to ride a second time! So just a heads up, some people who have ridden before might want to check the seat at the entrance to make sure you can fit this year. I think it even has a disclaimer of some sort in the park map pamphlet they give you, saying that some guests who were able to ride MF and TTD last year may not be able to this year. (its not like anyone reads that stuff anyway). (On another forum, someone said that the belts wern't replaced, but some have shrunk because the fabric on them tends to shrink over time). Moving on.... Coastermania was a pretty good time. They had a social hour with appetizers/Free pop/Cash Bar at the coral courtyard. I overheard a lot of people btching about the food, but I honestly didn't see a problem with it. It all tasted decent, and it clearly stated on the itinerary that it was appetizers only... it wasn't going to be gourmet fare. Unfortunately, I didn't get to attend the presentation, but I did see it via the video Mike posted on youtube (thanks again mike!). Ron Toomer seems like a really neat guy. As for the CM ERT itself, got 2 rides on Maggie and one ride on Maverick. By the time Maverick ERT came, we were exhausted and decided not to wait it out for another ride. i was somewhat disappoined with the new format of only havng one ride open (Maverick) at a time for ERT. It was a 45 minute wait, and IMHO having only one ride open and a wait that long kinda defeats the purpose of ERT. I did chat with a few enthusiasts while in line and I know I wasn't the only person kinda annoyed with the new format. Around 12:15AM, stumbled back to our cars after a long day of coaster riding and fun. In all my many many visits to CP, I don't think I had even been in the park that late at night, or for so many hours in one day. Thanks again CP for hosting us. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to Saturday's festivities, which really would have been the day to go to get more rides in. I do hope CP reconsiders the new format, and has at least two rides open during all ERT periods throughout the event from now on. If so, I will look forward to attending CM in its entirety next year. RIDE COUNTS: Magnum - 5 Gemini - 3 Blue Streak - 2 One Each For: Raptor Top Thrill Dragster (2 for the GF). Millennium Force Iron Dragon Maverick 15 total coaster rides. ALSO RODE: Skyride CP/LE Railroad

Yes, I LOVE Maggie's new entrance sign. You'll like Maverick. It's a different breed of CP Coaster. Whereas many additions to CP is recent years focused on raising the bar with some sort of record, Maverick's role is simply as a fun, fast ride, with lots of excitement. -
Greetings All! This is my second TR on TPR, as I posted one last year. I had a wonderful time at Cedar Point on Opening Day, May 16th. We didn't get an extremely massive amount of rides in, but got in a little bit of everything. Myself, along with my GF (Nicole), were excited to open up the season, as well as celebrate Maggie's 20th Birthday. Arrived at about 8:30am, got a GREAT parking spot, a 2 minute walk to the front gate. Soaked in the new signage at the gates, and then proceeded to the pass center to get our season passes processed. We thought we may have to wait until 9 to get our passes processed, but they were already opened when we got there. We waited in line about 5 minutes, and then the whole procedure was done in about 2 minutes. While waiting in line, the busses carrying the Ohio State University Athletic Band pulled in. After they unloaded, we got to hear them warm up a bit. On our way to the entrance line for Pass-holders, and a few mascots from the Peanuts Gang were hanging around. Got some good pics (see below). As soon as 9AM hit and we were past the gates, headed to MF. (Didn't run there, just walked and soaked it all in). Noticed the new brick pavers near the main gate, as well as the new fun fountain on the Midway. We rode MF after about a 15 minute wait. As we were entering the Queue, got spotted by our friend Beth. She's too chicken to ride it, lol. Upon Exiting MF, I reached into my pockets, to find my glasses completely busted, snapped right in the middle. It was my fault as I should have had them in a case, but I had gotten away with simply having them in my pocked before. After Mf, headed towards Maverick where we were on after about 20 mins. Maverick is still a definite winner, but I have to hold on to the restraints while riding, otherwise my neck gets beat up all to hell. Next was gemini, which was far too long of a wait due to only running one train. Which in the station, you could hear the tOSU spring band playing, and you could tell who the OSU alumni members in the station were. After this, headed towards Maggie, to celebrate the 20th anniversary. The wait was roughly 20 minutes. Awesome run, just as always. Sitting behind us were some teenage boys, who obviously had never ridden Magnum before. They were thinking the ride wouldn't be much, since they had already ridden MF, thinking Magnum was just a smaller MF. They were definitely proved wrong. At the end of the ride, those boys were laughing their heads off, with one of them shouting "I was flying out of my chair over every hill!". By this time, the park had been opened up to the general public, and a long line was already forming for Maggie's party festivities, which included free cake and ice cream, and a chance to sign an anniversary banner. We decided to skip it, thinking riding it was celebration enough. Also, I had gotten the chance to sign Gemini's 30th banner last year. Then it was to the gameday grille, where we often eat because of reasonable prices. After that, Met up with our friends Beth and Becky, where we got in line for blue streak. The wait for blue streak was insane all day, 45 minutes. Around this time, the rain started slowly coming down. After BS, Nicole and I went towards Iron dragon, to watch the OSU athletic Band Perform. After a good performance, we headed back to frontier town, where we decided to buy new shirts. Nicole got one featuring some of the Parks coasters, and I got one featuring the Maverick Logo. It started to really come down at this point, so we headed back to the front, to the car, to wait out the rain. The rain quit about 4:30, and the weather was beautiful the rest of the day. Headed back into the park where we rolled Power Tower down, and Magnum a second time. Nicole said she doesn't like drop rides, but I convinced her to get on Power Tower anyway. She liked it. Got in line for Top thrill Dragster, where it was rollback after rollback after rollback. You would have been waiting hours to get on, considering that they were loading only 2 or 3 rows of the car, along with the fact that half the launches were still rollbacks. Left the line and got some munchies. CP Fries, and then some awesome custard. We were going to ride Blue Streak again, but the line was still too long. Left at about 7. Next time, we will stay long enough to see the new lights thing at Frontier Town. Good trip, would have been PERFECT if I didn't break my glasses. I didn't expect to get in a TON of rides on opening day, but we rolled pretty much what we wanted to. Ride Counts: Magnum - 2 And one each for: Millennium Force Maverick Gemini Power Tower Down Blue Streak Now for the pictures: (In reverse chronological order, I apologize). A view of the skyline from the causeway. OSU Athletic Band warming up. OSU athletic Band warming up. New main entrance sign. Me in front of the new main gate sign, for Maggie's 20th. Looking for Cedar Point info/questions
IrishBuckeye replied to Tammy S's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
as far as where to eat.... Absolutely, 100% recommend the Gameday Grille. Its located near the front of the park, by the Raptor (Green B/M Inverted), and Blue Streak Entrance (Blue Woodie). Decent food, decent prices. Been there 3 separate occasions now and am never disappointed. Depending on what hotel you use, you may get in an hour early. -
I was checking out this mydeathspace site, just for the heck of it. They list some info about each person, including their picture, age at death, where they were from, and cause of death (e.g., Car accident, Shot, murdered, etc.). The young man that is the topic of this thread hasn't been added to the site yet. But when he is, they should put "Cause of Death: Stupidity".

Yankees, true, didn't think of that -
No photos this time, since as another poster said, we've all seen a gazillion pics of Cedar Point. This was one of the best trips to CP in my life. 3rd visit of the season. Me and the GF arrived at 3:00pm, and went into soak city. She had never been in Soak City before. We spent about 2 hours and 20 minutes there. Rode Eerie Falls, Zoom Flume, as well as body slides and tube slides, and spent some time at the wave pool. Splash Zone was ok. Ate dinner, and then proceeded to the park at approximately 5:40. First ride was Magnum, which we rode twice, nearly walking on each time. We rode the "ejector seat" each time, and it was a blast. After that, we headed to Top Thrill Dragster, which we hadn't ridden yet this year. The wait was posted as 30 minutes, but ended up being something close to 45 minutes. The ride was closed 15 minutes or so, while we were in line, due to high winds at the top of the tower. We waited it out and ended up on the second row. What a rush of blood to the head! I like TTD but there is no way I could ride it more than once in a day. Whoa! Afterwards came the only low point of the day... we were both dehydrated, and seeking something to drink. I had no cash on me, just a debit card and didn't want to use an ATM. So we went to the refreshments stand underneath the sky ride, after noticing a sign that they accept VISA.... and when we finally get to the register, the Asian guy taking orders states that his register is "cash only". Well.... this kinda ticked me off, considering there was ABSOLUTELY NOONE ELSE taking orders at any of the other registers! We ended up getting a snack, and some beverages, at the Gameday Grille. Afterwards, we decided to ride blue streak, one the GF had never rode, and I hadn't rode it in years. For a ride thats 44 years old, this ride is pretty damn good! Fun, hilly ride. I'll take this over the mean streak any day. Rode it twice. We also rode corkscrew, which is lame (way too short), and Mantis, which neither one of us cared for. GF has only been coming to CP since last year, and we were always there early in the day. She had never been there at night. Made our way to the back of the park, where we rode Gemini. While walking back there, we had noticed that Maverick didn't seem to be running, as we saw no cars on the track. After finishing Gemini, the time was around 9:20, an hour and 40 mins until close. We went over to maverick to see what was going on, and they had just re-opened the queue and restarted the ride. We got in line and after waiting 20 minutes, we rode maverick in the dark. A complete blast! While in line for the maverick, we heard a guy, standing right behind us the whole time, talking on a cell phone, about how many times he's ridden maverick. Also, all the staff in the maverick queue seemed to know him real well. It was indeed the guy known as "Maverick Lance". This was ride #578 for him. The guy they talk about on the forums, and he was even featured on the OnPoint! CP Blog. It was a real honor meeting him. After Maverick, we managed to get in rides for Millennium Force and Magnum. A great trifecta of rides at night! While waiting to Millennium, we saw some on the fireworks that are launched during the "laser show". Got off magnum at 10:52, a perfect ending to a great day! The GF liked CP at night, although we both think there really needs to be more lighting in some areas. Walking around at night was kinda creepy since some areas of the park weren't very well lit. This is especially noticeable in Frontier Town. Also, it seems the lighting effects on MF aren't as bright as they used to be. Nonetheless, an excellent day! UPDATED Ride Counts: (3 Visits) Magnum - 9 Gemini - 7 Maverick - 4 MF - 3 Raptor - 3 Skyhawk - 3 Iron Dragon - 3 TTD - 1 Wicked Twister - 1 Snake River - 2 Thunder Canyon - 1 Blue Streak - 2 Mantis - 1 SuckScrew - 1

Greetings. This is actually my first post here. I have posted TR's at other forums before, and figured I would get my feet wet here, since you allow us to add pics. 6/17 was my 2nd visit to the park this season. went with the GF. The weather was great, and we again had a wonderful time. Arrived at 9:05 AM. Immediately proceeded to Raptor which we rode twice, almost walking straight onto the coaster each time. Fun Ride. After we were done, it was approximately 9:25. We figured we'd head to Millennium Force. When we got there, there appeared to be a long line, reaching far beyond the gate entrance. "Maybe the ride isn't running" we thought. Although later we discovered the ride was actually running. Maybe there was just too many people entering the shortened queue line, and there wasn't enough room for everybody. Next time we'll be sure to actually check out whats going on near the entrance. Decided to head towards maverick. Got there at about 9:50, and despite the park not being open to the public yet, the estimated wait on Maverick was posted as 45 minutes. (maybe a lot of other people bypassed MF and went straight there as well). 45 minutes of waiting is worth it for a ride on maverick, so we got on it and had a blast. then headed over to the Gemini, which was celebrating its 30th Birthday. We signed the posters (have no idea what CP is actually going to do with them). On the ride platform, they had a big disco ball, and all the employees working in the ride area had special t-shirts. By the end of the day, we had ridden it 4 times. Had lunch at chick-fil-a (expensive) , and a shake at coasters. Just like my earlier visit this year, I had no problems with customer service related areas. The weather was just perfect. It didn't rain at all, just a few slight sprinkles that wouldn't cause rides to close, and it was sunny 90% of the time. Temps were in the 60s with wind. Observation of the day: CP really needs something new for decorations along the CP/LE Railroad. "Boneville" has been around for 20 years, it seems. 2008 Ride Count - (2 Visits) Magnum - 6 MF - 2 Maverick - 3 Raptor - 3 Skyhawk - 3 Gemini - 6 Iron Dragon - 3 Wicked Twister - 1 Snake River - 2 Thunder Canyon - 1 The Lake, taken while going up the Magnum hill. the Red Garter Saloon. This, I think, was the coolest pic of the day, despite much of it being cut off. This is on the Maverick Platform. notice the "Canada Steamer" that was floating along, very close to the Maverick. Maverick Lift. Awesome element of the ride, in that it lifts you up there so fast (like 40MPH or somewhere around that) GF in front of Millennium Force Top Thrill Dragster, which we didn't ride, but hopefully will next time.
