  1. Alfundo at Dorny Park isn't really my favorite. For those of you who don't know this is located in ThunderHawk's station.
  2. Yea like I said the park is in the Pine Barrens which is creepy enough in its own right. But the Haunted Castle along with the Rolling Thunder incident & Lightening Loops incident makes even creepier. Kings Island has had a few accidents as well. I've never been but the locatiok of the park looks like it could be creepy as well.
  3. Im curious too see if anyone on here is creeped out by some parks they visit. Haunted amusement parks are nothing new to the industry and many have their fair share of ghost stories or incidents. For me personally, Great Adventure has given me the creeps at some point. Especially in the Old Country where the Haunted Castle once was. It has sat there empty for over a decade and looking at it when on Nitro's lift hill at night gives it a sense of eeriness. Maybe it also has to do with the park being in the Pine Barrens which is creepy to begin with. Anyway if you have an experience or opinion feel free to share.
  4. This is pretty exciting news. I passed the park in a cab when i was down there last spring. Its so depressing seeing a park look like thag. Also a little creepy.
  5. Wow, movement and some steel beams. They're ahead of the 8 ball for once.
  6. Wow, very interesting. I would consider this a major modification if they remove the triple up. Although it was a bit uncomfortable it was still one of the best parts of the ride.
  7. Cool, I'll be safe going on the 2nd then! my goodness
  8. I said it before and I'll say it again. Harambe is in the shed. Connect the dots people.
  9. Well, all I can say is get out there and ride it because it gives every wood coaster on the planet a run for its money. Boulder Dash is probably the most out of control feeling you will ever get on a roller coaster. It is mayhem from start to finish.
  10. Oh, wow. This thing looks amazing. Im excited for GCI, this is a pretty big year for them since they are adding two additions at large parks in the United States.
  11. Looks like we will be taking the "wait and see"'approach with the new Nor'Easter then.
  12. Im am mostly sure that Venus will end up finding a new home. I've heard only great things and most parks looking for a fairly large steel coaster would be happy to take it. As for Titan I don't think it will be that lucky unfortunately. I can't see a park spending money and putting time in to relocate an old Arrow Hyper.
  13. Anything is possible with Great Adventure (Meaning it could open in August).
  14. I'd buy a season pass as well (if I hadn't already done so). If they bought the giant rocket too that would be awesome. Even if they don't use it as decoration, maybe they can use the rocket to blow Dinosaurs Alive to smithereens when it's time to add Venus. If we're lucky, they'll accidentally blow up Stinger and those crappy flyers too.
  15. Place that baby right in tbe field where Dinosaurs Alive is and watch me buy a season pass immediately.
  16. If Venus somehow ended up at Knoebels I'd fully expect CoasterBill to buy a nice plot of land next to the park sometime soon after. If Cedar Fair is "ride shopping" in Japan, Venus is one relocated coaster I'd be more than welcome to have at Dorney Park since its the closest CF park to me
  17. InvadR at BGW and Mystic Timbers at KI for sure as far as coasters are concerned. It will be a big year for GCI and I wish them all the best. As for non coaster rides. Justice League will be a welcome addition to Great Adventure.
  18. I don't doubt their ability. Im thinking that less time maintaining the support structure will equate into more time maintaining the theming.
  19. Also think about the fact that less time doing maintence on the support structure equates into more time performing upkeep on the rides theming. I pray that they keep those trains in tip top condition. They're too beautiful to let rot.
  20. Well this is a great idea since the last wooden coaster at a Busch park (Gwazi) didn't fair so well. Im not saying its solely BGT's fault for what happened to Gwazi but it is a good idea to make life easier on yourself.
  21. ^ Nice photos. I took a trip down to the park on the 26th to get my last rides of the season in. It is a wonderful event that is great for families. I also had a Cider which was TREMENDOUS by the way.
  22. Oh yes, please. Give me all the Knoebels wonderfulness.
  23. Just went back through some of the InvadR construction pictures and it looks like this coaster may have some nice pops of airtime. I really like the way it looks now that it is going vertical.
  24. I'll be there Monday, Im super stoked for my visit. Nothing like riding Nitro in December.
  25. ^ I mean they did help a tiny bit with the overall ride experience. At least I can say I had the best rides on ThunderHawk during my two visits this season.
