What is your favorite Stand Up coaster?
RenegadeFan replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've only been on Chang, and it was amazing. Although I lost one of my balls I think... -
Band Name: Britt Reames Album Name: 39.37 inches per sec. (wtf?) Album Cover: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3181/2601246302_d01b52295d.jpg?v=0 Gosh, that's retarded and hilarious!

I'd rather be shot alive or made to go too Legally Blonde the musical rather then see him. What an ass.

Those little notches? Those are like for maintenance of the track and such. Makes it a lot easier to climb over a slippery smooth B&M track.

I'd like to present to you my new Gravity Group Woodie, Gato (Spanish for "cat"). It is 79 feet tall, 1977 feet long, and reaches speeds up to 45 mph. It features a first drop diving 70 feet down, two 90 degree turns, a second drop 52 feet tall, and a third drop 41 feet high. Ride's layout. First Drop. "90 DEGREES!" - Robb Alvey Second Large Drop. "90 DEGREES! (again)" - Robb Alvey Final Helix. Comments and suggestions always welcomed! Thanks and enjoy! gato.nltrack Gato

TPR's New Front Page - BETA TESTING!

Thanks for not trying to pimp the home page out too much! TPR is "Professionally Ghetto" still! -
^ & ^^ Too late. If you notice in the first post that is says it's just ended it's second season. That is over at the Atari Forums. Maybe later in Year Four beyond (I've already started year three). Update Went back to the park today and here's a little update: Something is different about this view... I was right! Apparently, termites loved Raging Ranger's station, so they had to tear it down and start over with a new one. As you can see, the new one will have a metal roof. Over at the construction site, not that much has been done. Looks like they just started on the station. They've completed putting down the borders around the paths all around the park now. A planter with some rocks and trees has appeared suddenly near Raging Ranger. Forgot to take pictures of Seastar and Evergreen Wheel last time. Well, that concludes this update. I heard that the new coaster should go vertical soon. Hope that's the case!

Your 1st EVER NoLimits Coaster
RenegadeFan replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Kind of funny: when I opened it up in the simulator, the whole track was in tunnel mode! Good for a first coaster though! -
Ok, this is at it's end of Year Two at the Atari Forums, but instead of leaving you guys in the dust, I'll just start over... I went out to park today and had an awesome time. It's a really nice small park. Enough with the talking, here's the photos: I got to the park around 10:00 AM. We were going to get there at 9:00, but there was construction on the road to the park. Here's the huge main courtyard past the gates. You can see the park's GCI woodie straight ahead. This place didn't have a name, but it did have some good hot dogs! What amusement park wouldn't be complete without a scrambler? Lil' Lightwave is the park's only kiddie coaster. It's a hit with people who like the milder rides. Then it was time to ride the park's Arrow Looper, Lightwave. Lightwave is a pretty small with only one loop and two corkscrews. The corkscrews are the best part of the ride in my opinion. Here are the last two rides on this side of the park, the ferris wheel and Chance Trabant. We’ll first start off on the other side of the park at the Chance Chaos ride. Down the pathway from Chaos is the park’s only gift shop. Next to the gift shop is Xtreme Karts, the park’s Go Kart track. Across from Xtreme Karts is Raging Ranger, a GCI wooden coaster similar to Renegade and Thunderhead. I have a bad feeling about this station. I don't know why, but I do. You can’t see much of the ride’s layout from the ground, so I took this from the top of the lift. And the oddest thing to find today: a construction site! Very odd since the park just opened. Coming around on Raging Ranger I snapped this shot. B&M track! This park has got some cash. The park also gave me these two pics. The first one a side view of the park, and the other a view from above. Thanks for reading! More updates coming soon!

Oops! Sorry about reserve order. Guess I'm a n00b!

Sorry everyone. This a bit late, but I thought you'd still like to see how my day was at Valleyfair. RIDE COUNT: Renegade: 2 Wild Thing: 2 Steel Venom: 3 Corkscrew: 1 Excalibur: 1 Xtreme Swing: 1 Thunder Canyon: 1 Flying Trapeze: 1 (I forgot got to take a picture of this, but it's CRAZY!) BACKWARDS TR:[/i] Got there right after opening. There where A LOT of school groups. Let me rephrase that: WAY too many school groups! But the great thing was they all left about 2:00, so the park was almost empty the rest of the afternoon. HI! First up was Steel Venom. Twisty track... Lines. Crap. Wild Thing! At least the park still has trees! Down the midway there's... Power Tower... Riptide... A closed Xtreme Swing!?!? Explanation of closing it down... "We don't know." Up next was Power Tower (blue!) Corkscrew! No more on-ride photos... Then it was time for Wild Thing! I'll go with just the cold drink... Up next was the ever entertaining Renegade. See, the line stopped moving for about 20 minutes. About 1/2 way through the started to run rider-less test runs, so about 70 people left the ride because they thought it was broken. They were actually adding the second train on! It only took me about 10 more minutes once they got the second train going. See, it pays to stay in line! After lunch (corndog), a soaking ride on Thunder Canyon (VERY cold), and a shaking ride on Excalibur, it was time for Wild Thing again. Today's worst artsy shot, lol. Zoomage! Xtreme Swing did open later. This ride has the best photo ops (from the line that is). Corkscrew was up next, where there was... NO LINE! That's a first for me! It was because they were running two trains (another first for me to see!) Plus, everybody in my group got head banged except for me! It pays to be six feet tall, lol! Went back to Renegade one last time after Corkscrew. For my last ride, it was between Power Tower Red and Steel Venom, and I choose... Steel Venom! And front row too! Best shot of the day. And before you know it, the day is over. Bye! Then it was time for me to go off and camp near the MN Zoo and sleep.

It's also great to hear they got rid of the useless anti-rollback devices. I wonder if they built them for testing and they forgot to take them of? -
Photo TR: Sad-and-Pathetic Stop at Ocean City, MD

Sad that a new Vekoma is just as bumpy as an old-school spiral drop coaster. I'd love to see dark rides at every park again, but that's almost not true anymore (dang you Cedar Fair!) -
Nice pictures. I've always wanted to go to Dollywood. I go down to Arkansas every year, but some time in the future I need to beg them to go east so I can drop by there. I got to go behind-the-scenes once at Valleyfair for Renegade, but I didn't get to stand on the track. I did get to stand on the other side of the fence between the foot high grass and the coaster. Pays to email the park only 18 hours in advanced!
