  1. ^Only because you say so! I'll be gone from the thread for a bit, not because I've given up beer, but because I'm busy drinking in Germany! Expect a full report when I get back either next Wednesday or Thursday, with a possible update or two along the way if I have time and an internet connection. Feel free to drink more in my absense! Maybe someday I'll get my own emoticon
  2. Since I don't have any Renegade beers on me, I'll drink in honor of Valleyfair's new coaster with a homage to the coaster that sparked Kinsel into wanting one for himself, Thunderhead! This may very well be my last IPA for a week! Let the thunder roll!
  3. This evening I will start out with my final Terrapin beer, the Rye Pale Ale. Great stuff, lots of hoppy flavor for a standard PA. Whenever I find myself in Georgia again, I will definitely be grabbing some of Terrapin's brews. (Of course, nowadays, it'll have to be a trip I DRIVE, stupid terrorists! ) This last Terrapin will be enjoyed dearly A little something for everyone
  4. But if its the boomerang that doesn't come to a full stop on its return to the station, then it would STILL be the ultimate theme park. The only other thing I could possibly ask for is a microbrewery inside, as well as a taco stand!
  5. ^There's a pretty good difference between the look of the two castles in addition to the size. Disneylands is more like a standard minigolf castle or one you draw in Art class in school when you're 9. Disneyworld's is more of what an architech student would draw in his sophmore year, and Disneyland Paris is by far my favorite. Love the comic so far, and Fakeland seems like a really freaking cool place. Intamin giant drop/observation combo, Intamin super shoot the chutes, beer flume, Intamin hyper, huge Japanese Ferris wheel, fun woodie, aquarium, Vekoma multilooper of death, what could be better than this place!
  6. I don't think its going to have massive airtime, but the ride will be fun, smooth (most likely) and enjoyable for a lot of the GP. I'm sure it will offer the standard GCI airtime pops, but nothing extreme. I haven't met a GCI I didn't think like and I think that trend will continue. Any airtime this thing will have would probably be downgraded by the restraints, but it will probably still give you a nice sensation of less on the butt/more on the thigh. Of course, once this thing warms up a bit who knows, it could very well offer some great airtime moments, much like Thunderhead.
  7. "Just looking at Goliath's super intense helix of death makes me feel all weird inside"
  8. "Sweet Sacrifice"- Evanescence from the new cd The Open Door, available in 2 weeks
  9. Wii sounds good to me, and the price is even better. Now I know what I'll be doing Thanksgiving weekend! Sadly, like most games for a new Nintendo Console, most of the most anticipated won't be out until after the holidays, but if Zelda comes out, I'll be one happy camper (and forget actually CAMPING out waiting for the system!)
  10. The announcement says Millennium Flyers and the Computer Animation shows Millennium Flyers. Whoever wrote the press release probably just screwed up with the number of people per car and number of cars.
  11. The jig is up, the news is out, they finally found me! Looks like a great, original layout somewhat resembling Thunderhead. Valleyfair is definitely on my list for next summer, can't wait! Good to see Cedar Fair going back to building wood. My favorite part though is how the park hasn't even finished the permit process to build the thing!
  12. I like how all the teachers give you the same look as the rest of us "adults". Nice update, bro!
  13. I don't know about everywhere else in the states, but I know back when I got my license there was a law that you aren't allowed to listen to headphones while driving because it will distract you from ambulances, etc. Wouldn't handsfree earbuds be exactly the same thing? I know my super cell phone has an mp3 player built in, and therefore the earbuds it comes with is stereo. Best of all, BOTH of them have to be in your ears, as the left one has the mic, but the right one has all the sound while on a call. Luckily I have speakerphone to fall back on. Though like Tom, my theory is just don't talk on the phone while driving, unless its an emergency. Which is why if people call me while I'm driving, I either ignore it, or answer the phone "WHAT THE F*** DO YOU WANT!?" That usually deters people from calling me EVER!
  14. Thats a pretty cool deal. Though I still liked it better back when the parks were run really well and I could get a 2 year preferred annual pass for $129.99 and could visit the park even during the busy season and have the ability to get 2 free express passes at the same time. Why would you need golfballs anyway when Universal doesn't own a golfcourse?!?!
  15. Tonights new brew is a type I'm not really partial to, the creams. But if anyone could make one that wasn't just meh, my vote would go to Terrapin, and they came thru. While its pretty much just a smoother pils with a little less hops, it was pretty tasty for what it was. It'd probably go really nicely in some beer bread! Smooth and not too bitter, not really my type. But still good Terrapin's Cream Ale, a kinda ok style, but it was brewed well
  16. "Forever"- Papa Roach
  17. Pay no attention to the former blue haired oddling, he doesn't like many rides. Cyclone is good for a ride or two, but can get expensive, and its kinda rought and the trains are clunky. Not as good as its clones in Chicago and Atlanta. Its good for its historical value though. Getting to Rye isn't that difficult, and its worth the trip. Still kinda scary, but not as much as Coney. I think the buses that go there are the Beeline. Just check their website, they should have directions via bus as well as hours and prices.
  18. There's a Zamperla Mini-Mouse in Central Park, but I believe it may be closed for the season, ending on Labor Day. Its possible that it could be operating though That's it IN NYC.
  19. "Shame"- Stabbing Westward
  20. Good to hear you're still drinking and homebrewing, Wally! Just do it in moderation and watch your food and you should be fine! Tonight for me, it was a meal full of beer (cept for the tacos) Another great craft brew with a nice flavorful feel And the Lake Placid 46'er Pale Ale for the liquid refreshment Some Victory Festbier is the special ingredient in the beer bread
  21. ^I think its only the haunted house, none of the other rides will be opened, at least they weren't in years past that I'm aware of.
  22. ^More like poor Ellen! Its never too late to start drinking for the night! Tonight's selection was from Terrapin Brewing in Athens, GA I wasn't expecting much because its a pilsner, but it really surprised me. A nice mixture of hops, sweetness like a Belgian, and a decent finish. This was some good stuff! Definitely something I'll look into getting the next time I'm in Georgia (or Frederick, MD) Thanks, Heath! Terrapin's All American Imperial Pilsner, good stuff!
  23. Ooops, thanks for the reminder! Definitely NOT a Casey Approved shower!
  24. After driving thru Connecticut and NYC traffic, by the time I got home I was ready for another new brew. But when it warmed up a bit, it was really tasty! I wasn't sure about the taste at first, seemed too much alcohol Davidson Brothers IPA with a shout out to Heath and JimmyBo
  25. But the party didn't stop there! Next was the unofficial BACT Attack on the hotel bar! and after getting out of her dress, Ellen and Adam come down for one final drink with their friends before shoving out for Walt Disney World Even Walt, Todd, and Krista join us The regulars kick back a few Sammy's too A Sam October for me, with a little bit of Nicole on top
