  1. Oooof! I can see the pain already in the banked top hat. The rest of it looks like they took an idea from Colossus at Thorpe, mixed it with their expertise of Jubilee Odyssey, and here's the end result. Luckily this is just an idea right now, hopefully it comes a few pages after the motorbikes in the catalog.
  2. I think its a good idea, especially if you can pick the animal to adopt and it happens to be an animal she really likes. My 8 year old cousin just likes Bratz and gawdy makeup and fake fingernails. But adopting some cool zoo animal is a unique thing. If nothing else, she should like the stuffed animal, at least until she gets a little older and understands exactly what you did.
  3. Caught a random stomach virus, so I only felt good enough for one this evening. Decided on the Ridge Line Amber Ale by Great Divide in hopes that it would taste like other good ambers such as Fat Tire or Dock Street. Sadly, it didn't taste like much of anything, and I don't think it was because of my illness. Not nearly hoppy enough, with hardly any nutty maltiness either. Should be called Amber Lite Lager Will this taste like a Fat Tire? It says its a rich amber ale
  4. Disney has upped their thrill ride collection over the past couple of years. Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller coaster, Test Track, Mission Space, Kali River Rapids, Expedition Everest, along with the always great mountains, Big Thunder, Splash, and Space. It may not be a thrill seeking destination, but I'm big into thrills and can always get my fill of thrill and fun in a trip to WDW, which is why I try to take a trip there once a year, at least!
  5. "Let It Out"- Hoobastank
  6. I didn't think it was possible, but I'm more excited to see your update from Florida than I am of actually going to California next week! Luckily, I'll also be in Florida the week after that! Glad you got there safely, can't wait to see and hear more of your thoughts!
  7. I guess the entire theme of the night could be the Victory's Dark. Finished up the night with what was my favorite local brew last spring. My how times change! The Victory Dark Lager is still way better than the regular lager, but, as the label shows, its all malt. Very smokey in smell, but something strange made it almost like cigarettes! My tastes have gone a dramatic 180 degrees since then, and I'm more like IPAdam! Still a great brew, I'm just shocked at how average it seems to me now. The Victory Trio on this Thirsty Thursday Wow, I know its not totally the opposite of what it used to taste like, apparently my tastes have done the changing! Victory Dark Lager, my favorite "obtainable" beer last year at this time
  8. After booking a trip for next weekend is all done, tonight's theme is Victory. Started off with my first 10th Anniversary Alt Beer from a bottle. Excellent stuff. Next was St. Victorious Doppelbock. All I can say is "Wow! What a finish!" Very caramel-ly. Whoa, what a nice finish! St. Vics Doppelbock, another dark lager A great Alt-ernative to Dark Lager! Inspired by the Dusseldorf area of Germany, Victory's 10th Anniversary Alt Beer.
  9. Don't know what got into me; maybe it was the boring day at work with miserable weather, perhaps it was the desire to have some of Robb's wings, possibly I wanted to see some friends, or perhaps it was that darn Space Mountain song playing at work today, but I decided what the heck and booked a trip out there. Thurs night- arrive Friday- DLR Saturday- Knotts (not sure if I'm doing the event or not yet) Sunday- SFMM (WCB!), Alvey party, Red-eye home Of course, this means Deja Vu will be closed, sorry folks!
  10. The first one reminds me of a cross between a Mob goon as depicted in several comic books and movies and something you'd find in Lord of the Rings. The second one reminds me of some movie from the 80's with Cher(!!) in it as the mom and her kid looked like that. Normal Wes is goofy looking enough, but alter him at all, and it just rocks hard!
  11. Wow, this just keeps looking better and better! I'm really looking forward to riding this, even more than Winjas. I just can't wait to see how themed the whole area will be, it may put Nemesis to shame, which is hard to do!
  12. "Attack"- 30 Seconds to Mars
  13. Come June, its gonna be almost impossible to pass by this thing as soon as I get into the park even though I know I'll have ERT on it later that evening. It really does look a lot cooler than I originally thought it would. Come on Summer!
  14. ^Nope, he's right (sort of). SRF is the "flume" (though its more of a shoot the chutes than a flume) WWL WAS the hydro-flume. The reason it was called a hydro-flume was because the final ending had a sort of hydro-jump, resulting in more water being sprayed everywhere. Jet Stream at SFMM is one such remaining Arrow Hydro-Flume.
  15. Don't know if it was much of a phrase, but it was certainly on shirts: "I rode 'The Boss', and what a woodie it was!"
  16. Finishing up the Pale Ale night was a Troeg's Pale Ale, (which is way more citrus inspired than I remembered previously!) followed by a Magic Hat #9, which is not quite a pale ale (in fact, it says that on the label "not quite pale ale") but Heath had obtained my last Amish Four Grain Pale Ale from Lancaster, so to stick with the theme I had to stretch the rules a tad. Sit back, watch Lost, and enjoy your apricot laced not quite pale ale, its Hump Day! Look ma, I can make a NiiiCoLaaH face, and not be too blurry! Its "not quite a pale ale", but its pale enough for the theme of the evening Whoa, what a citrus kick! Troeg's Pale Ale, a great brew just waiting for a night like this!
  17. Looks awesome! I haven't been to a CECs in like 5 years, back before I went off to pharmacy school. I remember playing in the tubes and ball pit with my little cousins. They still talk about it, and how after I left they made the ball pit smaller.
  18. Wow, now this one is going back a few years. All I can think about is Drayton Manor and Apocalypse, darn you Alvey videos!! "On The Roof Again"- Eve6
  19. ^^^Sure, answered earlier in this thread when it was actually determined what the flume in question actually was... I never had the chance to ride this, but Zoom Phloom in Wildwood is awesome, though Seasides location is much cooler looking than Wildwoods. I remember my first ride on the Jet Star on Casino Pier, as we were going up the lift, we were above the water, and a pod of rays swam by. It was pretty sweet!
  20. I'd like 1 or 2, but not gonna start for about another 5 years or so. There's too many coasters, electronics, and cars I want to buy first, as well as a bigger and better home before I settle down like that. Trying sure is fun though!
  21. Continuing on with tonight's Pale Ale theme, my next beer would be Sly Fox's Phoenix Pale Ale. Only *problem* they serve it in a can instead of a bottle, which is really strange. When Heath told me they had recently starting a canning operation, I didn't believe him, but when my 6 pack of Phoenix came in cans on Saturday, I was shocked. This would be a first for me, as I've never stooped low enough to drink from a can....except for the free Heineken I had on a flight to Tampa in first class, though since I didn't pay for it, and it was Heine, I just expected it to be bad. Phoenix isn't bad at all though, in fact it tastes pretty much the same as the glass I had from the tap on Saturday. Way to go Sly Fox! Its surprisingly good even out of a can! OK, I've never tried this from a can thing, I'm kinda scared... Phoenix with all its accessories (In my best BatFlame voice with accompanying arm gesture) "Phoenix!" Dude, beer in a can!?
  22. Tonight's theme is Pale Ale (not to be confused with India Pale Ale, which is every night). Started off with another Great Divide brew, the DPA, or Denver Pale Ale. Just like the Titan, its really a good beer, but not outstanding. Nice citrusy smell and start. One thing it did have though was some seriously thick head! I could have sculpted something cool out of it, thats how foamy it was, like whipped cream! And the burps kinda taste like Denver, go figure! After I fought off the foam party going on at the top of the glass, I got to a pretty good beer. Its kinda like a 2000-2003 B&M...it could be a lot worse, but its not gonna be your favorite. Parts of Twister and other Denver stuff resides in this beer, I think
  23. "The Kill"- 30 Seconds to Mars
  24. "Beyond Redemption"- HIM
