  1. ^Agreeing with HHN and Halloween Haunt, and I'm hearing Fright Fest is getting way better, but Shipwreck is good as well. There are like 6 mazes on the ship alone (but some are hard to find). The ones outside do suck, but the ones on the ship aren't bad. But yeah, hit HHN and Halloween Haunt if that's all you have time for. And don't go on the weekend, like everyone has said. I've heard the best night to hit these things is actually Halloween, as long as it doesn't fall on a weekend.
  2. The pride and joy that he tried to sell for real estate in 2006? Pride and Joy Well, perhaps now with ow the park is cleaning up, but it's not Shapiro's pride and joy, but the company's. Although it is slowly being restored from the craphole it is in, I KNOW the Six Flags company has put more money into this park than any other park. I mean, we don't really see any other Six Flags park with a multi-D coaster (refurbed, I mght add). This won't be a clone, I know that, but it might be similar.
  3. You've got four haunts to choose from down here, each offers a little different taste. I've heard the USH HHN (hope you understood that) is getting better and better, as I'm hearing SFMM's Fright Fest is as well. I'll probably do Knott' this year, but, it's getting kinda lame. I'd say wait a little to see what each haunt has to offer, then decide.
  4. Yeah, just look at Knott's 5 coasters in a single condensed area. Or Nickelodeon Universe in Malls of America. Those coasters wind in and out of themselves. Anything is possible, so we'll just have to wait and see.
  5. Well, they're getting close to launching that fast> Look at the new S&S Power Thrust Air Coaster Ring Racer (link). 135 in 2.5 seconds. Those are gonna be some intense g's. Just imagine if they harness the power of steam. Aircraft carrier feeling launches. Nutso!
  6. ^Gotta love debating with GP. I got an annoying one from when I went to Knott's yesterday. I waited two plus hours for Ghostrider (don't ask). I finally got on the ride, rode it, and it sucked ablls. Well, there were these three girls behind me going< "That was the best ride ever. Even better than Xclerator." I just sat there and wondered what planet they were on.
  7. How about funny things the recorder voice in the station. I've got two. (Both at Knott's) Montezooma's Revenge- "The train is rapidly approaching the station. Please do not lean on or over loading gates" It's not so much what he says as how he says it. Xcelerator- *Cheesy jokes alert* "And when you enter your galopy *grunt*... I mean Hot Rod" and "Because we don't want to be in trouble with the law, please buckle your seat belt." I thought those were funny in a cheesy way at the stations.
  8. If ever I get a personalized plate (I live in Cali, so price i high for a college student), I'd probably get something like RRLVR X2BBY SFMM87 or RLRMN87 PS, if you can figure out the first one, you get a cookie It's really easy.
  9. Ghostrider at Knott's. It sucks balls. Possibly the worst woodie ever. Even worst than the now defunct Psyclone.
  10. My list is kinda funny: 1. Riddler's Revenge 2. X2 3.Maverick 4. Magnum XL 5. Dominator 6. Desperado 7. Millenium Force 8. Xcelerator 9. Gemini 10. Top Thrill Dragster A little out of order, but the #1 spot is for sure.
  11. Yeah, I'm seeing the themed coaster atsrt to make its move. I think The Dark Knight, for as bad as you guys say it is (haven't ridden it) is the first step in modern theming of a roller coaster. Who knows, we may have rides like Kingda Ka going Dark ride on us with an intro story, and then "BOOM", the launch. Heck, if my dreams of not only becoming a coaster designer, but owning my own company come through, we might see more themed coasters
  12. ^That is so true. I mean, honestly, if I lived close enough, I'd probably work there. I just would love to be near the coasters and learn a bit more about 'em. And I know I'd get the job
  13. ^^Yeah, I'm actually a little suspicious. Can you give us the link if you found it somewhere? I'm rather curious as to how reliable the link is.
  14. Actaully, five years JK. I'm not much a conservationalist, but that comment really bugged me. And yeah, I went last summer to Cedar Point and was entrenched with trees when we were heading over to Maverick. You go under the tunnel under MF, and then trees cover the sky But rides more important than trees? Get real.
  15. You should "publish" a few to your extended family We'd love to see our "Senior member's" other hobbies
  16. Vekoma's the little company that could Hopefully, it's just starting the hill to success and not on it's way to where Arrow is. Vekoma is a already a trademark company, if you think about it. Anyone knows a Vekoma if you say Boomerang or (sometimes with a cring) SLC. They just haven't got the right engineers and ideas to put them up where they deserve. But, maybe with these new trains, they will get that credit. And I'm not too worried about a mega coaster by them. They're tracks ride a lot like Arrow's do (to me), and Magnum and Desperado are pretty decent.
  17. First, which ride are you referring to? If it's the ride I'm thinking of, then wow, how'd they mix a coaster with the track below you with one where the track is above you?
  18. ^Yeah, I love Riddler's, but the wait times and station sucks. It's even worst when they're running only one train. I wish they'd gut the station queue line and restructure it. It's so pointless. And it's hard to figure out which line is which. Maybe they should do what they did for X and release it as "Riddler's Revenge: Part 2"
  19. I couldn't help but noticing, is Vekoma redesigning their track style as well? Everyone one of those coasters is placed on a track similar to the motocoaster track. Even the inverted train isn't sitting in an SLC type track. But, these are concepts, so we'll just have to wait and see.
  20. When I saw the PTR, I looked in because the name seemed familiar. Then I saw it and I knew why. If ever I get the chance to go up North to where my dad and Mimae (Gramma) live, I'd be able to go to this park. I think I might check it out next Summer. Maybe actually finally ride a good woodie.
  21. I'm sorry, but which part about this is funny? I honestly don't know what the generators are run with.
  22. ^Those are really funny. I mean, they're sad, but hilarious Oh, I remember another one I heard a long time ago when talking to my 7th grade SCIENCE teacher. I don't remember what he said, but his eyes were huge in idsbelief when I told him coasters run on gravity, and don't have a chain going through the whole ride. It was really sad.
  23. Ok, I'm guessing because of the track being pre-fab, it doesn't have that wood on wood sound during most of the ride. But on the massive airhills, it's friction creates a weird sound. I could hear something when you did th offride vids, but I couldn't hear it in the POV. Possibly because of Robb's loud screaming Am I correct? PS- Man, Kidtums was small!
  24. Can someone please explain the fart thing. I've never been on a pre-fab before, so I'm confused about this fart.
