  1. Cockeysville is home to the infamous prize source for Elissa Bingo.
  2. ^I would have to see try to add Kennywood and/or Knoebels. There are a couple of other parks along the way (depending on your route) but those 2 are the best.
  3. Not exactly the same thing. Jungle Jack's is the ride area Columbus Zoo is the animal area/zoo Zoombezi Bay is the water park Although there are all at the same location and use the same parking lot, I believe they have different entrance fees.
  4. "Glascownian" - I have no recollection of this. I wonder why? I think I caught Steve's flu.
  5. I'm merging this with another thread where Elissa last answered this question!
  6. Chris - I went there on my own and found the $12 a reasonable price. They have some well run flats (Tempest, an Round-Up, Scrambler, Rock-o-Plane, a powerful Drop Tower). Ride all those and the Pinfari twice and it is about $1.00 per ride when averaged out. A good deal if you enjoy spinning rides. It sure beats the hell of paying $5 at some places just to ride a kiddie coaster.
  7. ^Can't you just skim some of the tickets off the top and use them yourself or give them to friends, or sell them on the internet. I'm sure nobody would notice. I know you know that I'm kidding.
  8. ^I think you need to ask the random rich person after he buys the park. It is impossible to accurately speculate upon speculation. Unfortunately, you can't do this with a public company. Everyone must be given the same information. Not doing it would be dumb as it opens the company up to class action lawsuits.
  9. ^I did the same thing Bill, completely forgot it was a repeat tonight.
  10. ^Last year their published operating schedule only covered about 6-8 weeks and was mostly weekends. So the writing was certainly on the wall. I too finally planned to stop by this park later this summer, if only to get the credits (I rode Afterburner back in the Circus World days) and ride the flyers. Looks like I just saved about $20 and a couple of hours in my life.
  11. ^Have you seen the arteries of the person who eats it in deep fried form?
  12. But at least nasty Northeasterners are nasty to your face and not behind your back. Sure they are plenty of phonies in the Northeast also, but not nearly as bad as Southern California. As far as bad drivers, many of the aggresive drivers in the Northeast pay attention when the cut you off. In other parts of the country they are just bad drivers.

  14. I think we are still waiting for someone to call, e-mail or knock on the door of B&M and ask them what the deal is.
  15. No need to bring politics up to put out that America has become obnoxious.
  16. This will be the last update from Upstate New York before I return to Florida theme park pictures. Funny thing about this Lake George vacation is the most memorable moment had nothing to do with amusement parks. My family was checking into the Moose Mountain Lodge. We were getting two cabins, but back in the pre-internet days reservations were never firm until you reviewed the hotel/resort. Well we starting walking around and touring the cabins. My mom was not impressed and my father was trying to convince her to stay. All of a sudden a kid that was a couple of years older then myself comes running out of the woods yelling, "Mommy, Mommy there's a bear in the woods." We ran back to the car and found someplace less rustic to stay. Now on the the pictures. Storytown was delightful for a family with young kids. Plenty of characters from fairy tales and miniature buildings to play inside. Charlie Wood really created a great family institution with this theme park in a much simpler time. For the last picture I bring you this wonderful shot of a random women's ass and the Wild West Shoot Out Show. For years I thought this occured at Six Gun Territory, but the age of the photos and my brother don't fit in so this must be from Great Escape, but I've been wrong in the past. I refused to get a shave as I have always been fearful of sharp objects. Now on the the junior version of the "Kick Bootie" ride. There's the drug running mule. No not my sister. Actually they still have pony rides at Great Escape as on upcharge. Now we get to pictures from the western area. We were thrown in jail for refusing to subject ourselves to an anal cavity search. The first photo documentation of me on a rollie coaster and my one and only contribute to rcdb.com Not quite the Flyers at Knoebels, but you have to start somewhere. Lou, JimmyBo, Robb and any more of my Tea Cup homeys. I've been a fan for decades. Carousel at normal speed I used to be terrified of bumper cars. Now people are afraid to get into a car when I'm driving. The awesomeness of a boat ride powered by a giant swan. My brother, sister and myself are much happier riding the train than standing in front of it. Look at how happy all the child are standing in front of the train for a picture. We want to get on the rides! We start with a picture of the park entrance, it just seems right.
  17. Publicity stunt? please explain. Publicity stunts are supposed to help the business. Hey people of Minnepolis/St. Paul: Support Valleyfair because we may sell it anyday now. If we sell it, the new buyer might close it, so stop by real soon. thanks we love this town, Cedar Fair
  18. Let me rephrase - creditors have a monetary interest not an emotional one. If an investment does not make money they will liquidate in a heartbeat if liquidating provides money that can be invested elsewhere. One thing the amusement parks have going for them right now is that the lenders don't have a lot of options where to invest for surefire gains and are willing to erode a company like Six Flags through payments which inlcude a lot of interest on the current debt.
  19. Do you THINK this will happen or do you HOPE this will happen? I'm hopeful but I don't know what to think anymore. The creditors don't give a rat's tail about amusement parks. They just need to recuperate money, as quick as possible sometimes.
  20. That just makes no sense. Why do they show US $ for one cost and GBP for the other option. 'Pre-Pay Online rates include: Loss Damage Waiver, Tax, Liability Insurance Supplement, Vehicle Licensing Cost Recovery, Transaction Fee' - that could reflect the difference, as you may not be able to decline these options with pre-pay.
  21. ^Colin - you are a brave young man for getting that close to Angus McNasty. That cat earned it's name.
  22. Or they need cash to pay down the hundreds of millions of dollars of debt. DUH!
  23. ^^^^^You must be doing something wrong because the Hertz website says it is cheaper to pre-pay, and also explains why.
  24. I rode a Miler out at Schnepf Farms outside of Phoenix last fall, and it was quite comparable to HSTC. The Peachtree Express was in pristine shape, I think it was purchased directly from someone in the Miler family (versus the company).
  25. Jay - There is a bar on the Atlantic City boardwalk open 24 hours a day 365 dsys a year. I've never stepped in but it looks like a real "classy" place.
