New for 2012 will be a Happy Swing for Kiddieland. A second engine for the railroad. Magnetic brakes for the Comet, and adding two train operations. Improved Wacky Shack loading area. Also the park is going cashless next year. ^^ Yes, cedar point calls their actors screamsters. ^ At a place like cedar point it would take alot more than a minute or two to get through security especially with the crowds they get. Not to mention it would make getting around the resorts and 3 parks an inconvenience plus having 4 gates (six if you count soak city) would require a significant amount of new security staff members.

I had it confirmed from a screamster friend that at first it was reported that the guy had a gun, but fortunately he did not. Also a fire extinguisher was not used in cornstalkers.

When I worked the CLP Blue Streak a few years ago we did our pre-opening test runs when a freak blizzard blew in... It stopped before we opened to the public but I would have loved to hop on.

Sorry to change subject away from the slaying of the dragons, but I am doing a flordia trip next month and am planning to do both parks friday the 18th and was wondering if anyone knows what the crowds are like around that time? Thanks

Pretty much what dammie said if someone is obviously having problems going through a house scareactors do break character and will help just make sure its known that you really need help. I don't know how Canobie operates but I have had a few I had to escort out but none for being scared only health issues. But if you don't want scared best thing you can do is not show fear as that is what actors feed off of and they will go after you if they know your scared.

Pretty much every halloween event I have been to I have seen clowns throwing some kind of not so serious insults (Like this one) at guests even at Cedar Point which has one of the most neutered halloween events there is (In my opinion). This is because most clowns aim for either a scare or a laugh. Obviously this was a failed attempt at a laugh and im sure he realised that wont work next time. Honesty its best to just let it go, halloween events stir up alot of controversy and alot of times thats what helps brings in the crowds so nothing is going to change.

First off the event truly kicks a$$... they load all 8 haunts with the most energetic/crazy people I have ever seen in any haunted attraction. Plus it already has the creepiness of the abandoned park atmosphere and the already haunted hotel. I helped construct the houses for its opening year in 2008 and worked it in 2008 and 2009 helping with various positions. I highly recommend paying ghost lake a visit as I have only seen the event improve and top itself the last few years. And yes the Blue Streak is included you get 1 free ride with admission and $3 for each additional ride and the bumper cars and devil's den are also open for $2 each. I haven't visited yet this year (Going Friday) but last year they filled the tunnel with fog and had several lights inside and on the lift. But the journey through the dark woods is the best part.

Im not at Knoebels (Unfortunatly ) but I have seen several facebook updates and photos saying that Knoebels has opened the Black Diamond!

^ Wow really??? Luckily I have never encountered something like that but as he said you will meet some jerks... don't let them disencourage you though since they are in the minority. However do ask what your haunt's procedure is if someone does attack you. Although rare it can happen and most haunts would like to remove them immediately before they hurt someone else.

Have one of you create a distraction to get their full attention while the other pops out somewhere catching them off guard. Also the first scene is the best in that they don't know what to expect so getting scares will be fairly easy.
