  1. I have received my package which I will wait till mine gets sent out tomorrow to open!
  2. Part 3 Last bit of Tobu Zoo and our first night in Nagoya Of course we had to take one more ride! They were working on the drop tower as we passed. Our choice for lunch was of course the 100% authentic Itarian restaurant! Time to leave "Tob " "Why are you still here?" "Read the sign... get the hell out of here" Goodbye Tobu Zoo It was a great day! Waiting for the train back to the hotel to grab our bags. We had a bit of time till we had to go catch our bullet train so some of us went to the top floor bar for a drink. Check out that view! Tokyo Tower is there on the left. Pretty excited for my first bullet train! Our hotel for the next few nights! After settling in we took a walk to find some food. We ended up here. It was a cook your own meal place complete with seats on the floor. A few beers in we got brave and decided to order the most messed up thing we could find on the menu... We choose Womb... Dan taking over grilling the womb. It was like eating a rubber band. It is just around the corner from the hotel so if you are on a TPR tour check it out! I recommend it! My night ended on floor 3F of this building Universal Studios Japan coming next!
  3. ^^ Thanks a bunch Robb! Here is part 2! Including a look around the Zoo! Part 3 coming up after the Walking Dead! Welcome back! Moving on to the rest of the park now... Next we sky loved all the way to the other side of the park. I want the unicorn! See you again shortly! Looks like the carousel was getting some TLC The neat thing about Tobu's train is it is a single line with a turn table on both ends of the track for the engine to disconnect from one end of the cars and to hook up to the other. The film crew again Sky love was a great transport ride to the back of the park. So pretty Hey guys. Rides double stacked Earlier I said in some parts Tobu looks nice... Well is some parts it looks pretty ghetto. Ummm yeah.... Strange Street was the haunted walkthrough. Next up we wandered into the zoo They had a great selection of animals. From what I understand you pay and get to talk to the animals? The ferris wheel looks like a windmill and is in the "Farm" section of the zoo. They also had penguins including several emperor penguins. The monkey area I just want to take him home! Smart fella Camels Hey, what's up? The white tigers were the most popular animal during our visit. I guess it had a cub a few days before.
  4. Sorry guys I just came from several very busy months for me. But now I can finally resume the report! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally we come to the official start of the TPR Japan Trip!!.. Ok, well the add-on for the pre-trip add-on. Either way we are at Tobu Zoo! We woke up early to meet everyone in the lobby to get our bags, grab a super fast breakfast than to head to the train station to make our way to the park. After several trains we finally made it to the park where it true TPR fashion the trip started off with a bang! And that bang was an hour of ERT on the mega light Kawasemi! Kawasemi Throughout the day I got in about 17 rides in starting with the first ride of the day with would crawl through the course. I was really worried after experiencing it but I managed to get on the second ride and the difference was incredible! After you leave the lift your butt will barely touch your seat for the rest of the ride. Regina After our ERT we set out to get the other credit at the park (The kiddie was closed with the train missing). I managed a front and back seat ride and I liked it better in the front but the ride pretty fun. Defiantly a lot better than I thought it would be. Star Cross We had no idea what this was but as our group was passing it there was a lot of debate whether we should try it but when someone walked close to see what it was and found out it had A/C that was settled. It was a motion simulator with a film about saving the earth from a meteor (I think?) Galaxy Walkers Another thing we had no clue about but there were two versions you could choose. One where you match the weight of a bag and one you don't. There was some mazes to it and a lot of confusion of where to go (I think I ended up back stage at one point). In the end it was a lot of fun to do as a group. We than grabbed lunch and some beer before another ride on Kawasemi followed by... Sky Love You could sky love all over the park and end up on the other end of the park where you exit and can than Sky Love all the way back. At this point me and Nozzy split from the group to check out the zoo and some of the dark rides. Surprising House You surprisingly enter the mouth of a clown where you than surprisingly sit down before the room surprising spins (At a very fast rate). At the end the ride surprisingly stops and you surprisingly exit, surprisingly (Ok, I'm done). Strange Street After being surprised you can than be strange. This is a neat walk through haunted house. There was even shockingly an actor which made a very valiant attempt to scare me. Zoo Yes there really is a zoo at Tobu Zoo. It was actually quite large too. They have pretty much every animal and even some Tiger Cubs. After seeing the zoo we grabbed another ride on Kawasemi before getting lunch at the 100% authentic Itarian restaurant. We split a pizza and got some fries. The pizza was really good and the unlimited drinks were a huge bonus. One more ride on Kawasemi would complete the park before we met at the entrance to get out of there before the rain would hit. We had to take several trains back to the hotel to grab our bags than to hop on our first bullet train (!) down to Nagoya to check into our new hotel for the next several nights. A group of us went out to dinner just around the corner from the hotel at a very Japanese restaurant. Shoes off, sit on the floor and all. Oh and we had to cook our own meal. We ended up getting chicken, beef, annnnnddddd Womb (yes womb). It was defiantly a very interesting and fun night and after dinner we explored the area a bit before calling it a night since we had to be up early to make our way south to Universal Studios Japan! Good morning Japan! Let's meet everyone in the lobby and get this day started! After several trains you have to walk about a mile to the park entrance from the train station. We made it! Want to know what's closed? Inquire at the ice cream. In some places Tobu is a very nice park. We definatly came here for the dueling giant wheels! Ignore that yellow thing on the right... Ok, I guess we couldn't ignore it for long! These are the chariots to a minute of pure awesomeness What happens when you ride a vekoma. But riding Kawasemi will give you tears of joy. But if your grandparents do not ride Tobu will release the angry spirits. Airtime MORE AIRTIME! I think Robert enjoyed it! Moving on here is a look at the rides section to get an idea of the layout. First we pass these two very reliable rides.... well... just move along. Nothing to see.... After the Music Express we did this interesting walk through/game. Awww but I wanted to stay.... We kept seeing this film crew around the park. Regina is the other major credit here. Regina doesn't look so good in the morning.... Not a terrible ride but not super exciting either. Was at least worth a re-ride. Which are you? What did he do??? But don't worry! Be happy! Here's part 2!
  5. Great start to your report! Looking forward to more!
  6. I think a MACK spinner would be perfect for the park. But I doubt anything will go in Wildcat's spot for a few years or at least until they remove the cedars dorms.
  7. *I don't know how this was double posted. Can a mod remove this? Thanks*
  8. I remember one of these sitting in the parking lot in the back of Conneaut for about a year several years back. Than it just disappeared. Looks like fun though.
  9. Sad thing is people fail to realize all the good Sea World does for the environment and especially wildlife. I think it's fair to say they are one of the best companies for this.
  10. Really excited to see vertical construction starting! Looking forward to my first visit to SFGAm next year!
  11. ^ Really glad I was on the very last train out. It was a fun ride (Even if it was outdated) and was nice to ride when everything else had hour plus waits. I will have to say Big Bad Wolf. I really enjoyed everything about that ride and was a disappointment to see it go. But at least Verboten pays homage to it.
  12. Wow, this looks great! I really hope I get back to Heide Park some day for this and some more spins on Colossos!
  13. I ended up going to Walmart, Sears, JCPennys, and Kmart on Thanksgiving. I didn't spend a cent. But got some great entertainment.
  14. There will be ERT on this during the next China trips? Right?
  15. Agreed! I loved all the random stuff you could get. My only disappointment was with their shirt selection. Pretty sure the entire 4 days we were there I was only able to find one or two styles of shirts. A lot different than other Disney parks but than again why even worry about gift shops when you can stare at Mount Prometheus all day while eating popcorn!
  16. Ordered my main gift yesterday should be in next week. Just have to get the rest of the package this weekend.
  17. I loved this ride! It was my second favorite ride of the TPR trip only behind Kawasemi.
  18. Hi all looking forward to participating for the first time! Here is a bit about me. I am really big into Haunted Houses and Horror films... pretty much anything Halloween. Also I am of course big into theme parks otherwise I wouldn't be here. Some of my other hobbies are Video Games, Movies, Drinking, Football, and Hockey. I collect pretty much any item related to Haunted Houses and Theme Parks but I am looking forward to what ever randomness my santa can conjure up! Shirt size XL just incase.
  19. It's a lot different over there as I learned real quick last year. They didn't even put up the operating hours till about 2 weeks before my visit!
  20. ^ I was already planning on doing Fright Lane but I wanted to know if this would be worth it as well. Thanks for your help!
  21. Question: I am finishing up planning for my visit next Saturday and I was wondering if anyone has done the prescare buffet thing. It mentions early entry but what does the early entry include? The website is pretty vague on details.
  22. Here is mine. I separated new and old since I don't think it's fair to compare the two. New School 1. Mystic Manor (HKDL) A great use of the trackless technology and a great story line with a amazing ending. 2. Winnie The Pooh (TDL) Another trackless ride with some really fun scenes. 3. Spiderman (IOA) 4. Transformers (USS) 5. Men In Black (USO) Old School 1. Haunted Mansion (Knoebels) 2. Old Mill (Playland Rye) 3. Wacky Shack (Waldameer) 4. Den of Lost Thieves (Indiana Beach) 5. Flooded Mine (SDC)
  23. ^ Not believable at all... I rather see them remove chainsaws all together than use these plastic toys with the sound box.
  24. ^ Knoebel's has the best of everything and now they have the best social media person .
