  1. This will be up there for Mindbender for one of the most imposing indoor coasters.
  2. When I originally saw the rendering, I was wondering if that outer bank was a mistake. I'm glad it's reality!
  3. No problem. iSpeed and Katun were exactly as advertised, two relentless coasters.
  4. ^ At Mall of America, isn't the Reptar ride a set of kiddie bumper cars?
  5. That's not exactly a high bar. Hopefully Six Flags' 2020 rides are all open by Memorial Day (or July 4th at the latest; the later date would apply to the northern/northeastern parks where schools remain in session until mid/late June) Six Flags Magic Mountain just seems like they're slow. Two years ago it took them until mid-summer to open a frisbee when Six Flags New England got their's open by Memorial Day. And I'd reckon to guess SFMM had better weather over the winter.
  6. That sounds like the dumbest use of a single rider line ever. The intention should be to make sure there are no empty seats, no cause a free-for-all death match.
  7. If this happens, I'll be ecstatic. But I have the same level of trepidation as I have with most theme parks that get announced that aren't from Disney, Universal, or Legoland.
  8. Every time I look into this thread, I'm expecting someone to post a link to the park's website. I wonder if they'll get a website up before SFMM opens West Coast Racers.
  9. Awesome report! Thanks for showing me what the Give Kids the World Village looks like. It looks like the perfect place for a kid. I'm glad I could do my part supporting this charity at Story Land this summer.
  10. ^ That traveled quite some distance considering the part where Quimera derailed is on the far side of the ride relative to that pathway.
  11. ^ Arashi is amazing. On the other hand, it's awesomeness sort of ruins the ones back here that only spin 2-3 times. I agree that I'd love to see the Steel Dragon trains on Magnum. The world needs more B&M clamshell restraints. Hakugai sounds incredible.
  12. ^ Having experienced even reprofiled Cyclops, I can totally understand why they never opened with a sixth car.
  13. It's on a much smaller scale, but Story Land and Santa's Village are two kids parks in New Hampshire that are an hour apart. I know a lot of non-coaster people that do both parks in one weekend. I could see something similar here.
  14. Does anyone know why the Texas and Tokyo Sesame Places closed? I never knew they had already tried building two additional Sesame Place parks in the past.
  15. I like Movie Park Germany, but there are a lot of better parks in a two hour radius.
  16. Each park has a good kids area. Islands of Adventure has Seuss Landing and Universal has the Woody Woodpecker/Barney/Fievel's Playland area. The areas have a mix of rides and play structures. As for Express Pass, you get your own separate queue. No reservation time; you just walk right in. You can either do unlimited or one time each. Universal also has tons of single rider lines, but I don't know how those would work with parent swap. It's worth noting that Hagrid's currently is not on Express Pass. I've never done Volcano Bay so I can't speak to that park.
  17. Movie Park Germany's operations are awful (early closures, one train ops, slow ops, etc), but the park has good theming. Star Trek and Van Helsing are nice coasters, but not destination coasters. Their water rides/dark rides are quite good though. I also have some photos of Area 51.
  18. The Lock-Up is one of the first things I bring up when I talk about Japan since that would never happen in the US. Nice report!
  19. Great report! I miss that fun house since there's nothing quite like it in the US.
  20. ^ That's awesome if Twisted Colossus is finally unlimited. The site still says 1X, but it wouldn't be the first time the Flash Pass site isn't up-to-date.
  21. ^ It sounds like they at least tried two train ops they day they valleyed the blue train. And that's good to know the fries were just temporary!
  22. Great report! I agree Iron Rattler is incredible. That top section rides as slow as it looks in POVs, but it's no less exciting since you're still getting ejected or flung on your side. I guess I got lucky with wind there. The only wind related policy that impacted me was no single riders on the SkyScreamer.
  23. It's one thing if all that downtime is just them closing the ride early (still bad but at least predictable). But it's erratic during the time it's supposed to run. I can only imagine the disaster this will be around Christmas.
  24. So you're telling me they may actually get their new for 2019 ride open by the end of 2019?
