  1. Unfortunately this has been a problem for years. I remember one time I was waiting to get on Scream and two teenagers hopped the fence when it was loading. Two people had to wait an extra ride because of it. But I'm glad you had a great day overall.
  2. I have no qualms waiting in a long line as long as it is moving. For example, despite having already ridden Gold Striker 7 times with the Season Pass Holder ERT, I had no problem riding it later in the day. The wait was about an hour, but it was moving since the ride attendants were dispatching trains quite quickly. Meanwhile, at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, I rode Superman 3 times in the morning before the wait formed and when I went back later, I would guess the line was almost 2 hours. The ride was fantastic, but the line moved too slowly.
  3. I hardly notice wooden coasters going down, so this one definitely is different. I hope the park can get whatever is troubling the ride figured out since it is definitely the most popular ride there.
  4. Yeah, it's actually shocking how smooth that part of Roar is now, I guess I've gotten used to being beaten to a pulp. I rode the one at Six Flags America with the PTCs before the one at Discovery Kingdom, so this one definitely was an improvement.
  5. Adding it in Ireland would help disperse crowds then, which is something most parks aspire for.
  6. I was at SeaWorld last week and loved it. It was my first time at any SeaWorld park. The theming was excellent and I really enjoyed both coasters. Journey to Atlantis had an amazing drop and a solid coaster portion and Manta had tons of airtime despite its small stature.
  7. Santa's Village was one of my first parks. It's an amazing place for kids thanks to the theming and low height requirements.
  8. Canobie purchased their tango used from a carnival so it wasn't a park model.
  9. When you click "Post Reply," underneath the white box where you write your message is the options tab which lets you upload photos. Just pick the file from your computer and give it a caption. If you want to add more photos, you just keep hitting "Add the file" and a new field is created.
  10. It's a great ride with out the shoulder bars. It's not a super fast intense thrill ride; it's a middle of the road family thrill ride. A tiny step above Whizzer at Great America. I loved the ride's layout and despite the shoulder bars, I still was able to enjoy it (though I did go in bracing myself for each turn).
  11. Busch definitely gets more crowds than your average park, but I don't think lines are ever that bad since the park is so spread out and the coasters all have high capacities and quick dispatches. I'm sure Diavolo/Tempesto will have speedy dispatches, but the overall model may be limited. I just hope this doesn't turn into a Crush's Coaster situation.
  12. I hope they keep the Sky Ride since it's a great ride for families and it is bound to give some great photo ops for the new Cyclone.
  13. Nice photos. This is one of those parks that I doubt I'll ever visit, but it looks pretty good, especially Timberhawk.
  14. I've really enjoyed my two visits to the park this year. Gold Striker was down twice in my visit two weeks ago, but the park got it back open in a half hour. One of the times, I saw a train stuck on the lift.
  15. A top GCI is quite marketable. Great America heavily markets Gold Striker and it is easily the park's most popular attraction.
  16. all of the rides are open...said no one ever.
  17. I've imagined that the first drop would be steeper and plunge close to the ground. Then the train would invert akin to a barrel roll while traveling up that banked turn. It would then finish right before the second drop.
  18. Riddler's Revenge and Green Lantern. I was told both coasters would make me like standups. The two Togos I've been on were superior rides.
  19. I'm heading to Busch next month and was wondering how frequent are Mach Tower's breakdowns? I haven't heard much about the ride over the past year or so, so I'm hoping no news is good news since I missed it in my last visit.
  20. Great Adventure's Batman had a long queue that was basically the same as Magic Mountain's.
  21. The saddle isn't my issue with standups. It is the large OTSRs and the headbanging they lead to.
  22. I think the coasters draw guests to the park, but a well-rounded flat lineup keeps people coming back and makes the park more appealing for families.
  23. I'm pretty sure I'll be there that day as well. If so, I'd be happy to show you the best way to get on all the coasters before the crowds hit.
  24. It's abrupt for sure. Green Lantern was actually worse in my opinion, especially when coupled with the train's awkward position.
