  1. I was just at Waldameer on Friday! Could the weather have been more perfect this weekend? Sure makes me miss Ohio now that I am back in sticky Orlando! My photo TR is upcoming.
  2. Great Siouxsie Sue reference! Awesome pics too. Too bad about the no Intamin woodie....but we can hope!
  3. Maverick in 55 minutes? Either the crowds were light or they are really cranking out the capacity on that one! I will be there Wednesday for my Maverick credit and to validate my season pass (not in that order). Great pics! And yes, I too have driven many miles to hit multiple parks in one day. The best/worst one was when I drove from Cleveland to Louisville (about 6.5 hours) rode everything at SFKK, drove to Holiday World (about an hour) rode everything and then ended up outside of Chattanooga for the night. About 700 miles....zzzzzzzzzz
  4. Here are some pics I took that day as well. I took them with my cell phone, so I had to transfer them to my PC first. And his mother....GEEZ! Unless you're this kid Good advice. It should be heeded.
  5. Thanks for the pics and video. I was at the park yesterday as well but working. Guess I will have to wait until Tuesday to ride it! The one guy said they are always looking at ways to improve existing rides. NEW GCI TRAINS FOR GWAZI! Hint hint The last time I rode it (about a week ago) it was pretty much the worst it has ever been, and until they get new trains, that WILL be the last time I ride it. It's kind of sad since it is visually beautiful, it sits right at the front of the park, but once you ride it, you never wanna ride it again. And the SLOW loading and unloading has got to stop! The ride has been open since 1999, but they are still SO slow loading. Just my two cents...
  6. I thought this came from Lightning Loops. Anyone know for sure?
  7. Great pics....and yes...I agree. El Toro ROCKS! Now if they would just build more Intamin woodies...ANYWHERE in the States! Preferably Orlando...but anywhere! Just build them already!
  8. I am still traumatized by the Laughin' Sal from Euclid Beach Park, and I probably saw her when I was 3 or 4. Geez!!
  9. Great pics and TR. I need to get to Disneyland ASAP since the last time I was there was 2000. Pre-California Adventure and all that it entails!
  10. RE: I really hate waiting in lines. I am such a prick when it comes to waiting in lines Well, I suggest you stay out of the Florida parks during Halloween, Christmas, Spring Break, and Summer! Just a suggestion from an Orlando-an (but not an Orlando native...no such thing!!) Enjoy Full Sail!
  11. And every Target, mall, parking lot....I HATE those wheelie things! 'Bout time somebody put a stop to them!
  12. Great pics ! Makes me want to put some Dorney in my life....no wait. That didn't sound right!

  15. $249 Garmin Street Pilot c330 I freakin' LOVE IT! I am so bad with directions, and now I have no excuse to ever get lost again! Can't wait to use it for my road trip from Ohio to Toronto and back!
  16. This was a great ride from when I rode it back in 2001. Very intense, especially the mid course drop. (See pic below) Enjoy! A pic I took of the coaster in Japan back in 2001
  17. From the YouTube video, it seems to launch trains in rapid succession. Hope they can keep this up!
  18. Revue. Just like the kind of stuff I have been doing for the last 20 years. Sidebar: I saw all the best musical nominees, and although Spring Awakening was a ground breaking show, overall I was not that impressed with it. My money was on Grey Gardens, a much more satisfying theatrical experience. And while Curtains was fun, I was as shocked as everyone else that David Hyde Pierce won best actor. BIG shock....though he did carry the show pretty much. OK....back to coasters!!
  19. I, as well, am a Disney cast member, got my Universal Season Pass, and also work for Busch Gardens, so count me in! In case you don't have Universal tickets yet, the absolute BEST deal is to buy it ahead of time on the internet. You can get a 7 day both park ticket for $86.98! For more details, check it out here: http://secure.universalstudios.com/webstore/shop/ticket-selection.aspx?Merchant=UOMainOnline&SalesCategoryGroup=UOMain&SalesCategory=UOTPTLive
  20. Great pics! Every time I go to DQ, I never bring my camera, so it's nice to see pics from the inside.
  21. Thanks for all the great advice. I am hoping to get Canada's Wonderland done with enough time to stop by Martin's Fantasy Island on the way to Buffalo to get my two credits there. The reason I am hitting Cedar Point is to get my pass activated. I already purchased it online. In retrospect, I should have just bought a Geauga Lake one since it is closer to my Mom's home in Ohio, but I wanted to have the Cedar Point logo. Yeah, that's dumb! Any recommendations for hotels in or around Darien Lake? I have checked online but they all seem pretty shady. And if any TPR members are in the parks on those days, drop me a PM so so we can meet up! This is definitely a whirlwind tour for me, but sometimes you just gotta seize the moment! I also plan to stop at Waldameer on the drive back to Cleveland. I am skipping Seabreeze since the only new coaster is the spinning one, and I don't need the credit that bad. Thanks again, and look for my photo TR in a few weeks!
  22. Thanks! Yes, I am mainly going to get my pass processed so I can use it at Canada's Wonderland. I am also coming back to Ohio in July for another day at the Point. Any Canadians or Buffalonians out there? Any advice would be most appreciated!
  23. I will be going home to Ohio for my college reunion in a few weeks, and I (of course) will be adding as many coaster credits as possible. Here is my game plan: Wednesday June 20th: Fly Orlando to Cleveland, pick up rental car, drive to Cedar Point to get Maxx Pass processed. Hopefully get the Maverick credit. Head back to Cleveland and see The Click Five at House of Blues! Woo hoo! Thursday June 21st: get up at the a$$ crack of dawn and drive to Toronto! Get all the Canada's Wonderland credits that I didn't get when I went to the park in 1982 (I am that old!) Hopefully, get them all, stop at Martin' Fantasy Island on the way back. Spend the night in Buffalo, NY. Friday June 22nd: Hit Darien Lake, get credits that I didn't get in 1984 (I stopped there before the ACE Coaster Con that year and rode Viper 'cuz that was all they had!!). Head back to Ohio but stop off at Waldameer for more credits! Saturday June 2 3rd: 20th College Reunion Sunday June 24th: Cedar Point again Monday June 25th: Fly back to Orlando Sooooooooooooo...... Any advice on hitting these parks? I should have enough time to do everything, but I would like to know what coasters have the longest lines, etc. I assume Tomb Raider: The Ride has low capacity with the small cars, and of course, the Boomerangs only have one train each. Any strategy for getting it and out of the parks as quickly as possible would be much appreciated! And if any TPR members are around those days, let me know! Thanks!
  24. Nice pics and great selections of songs for the YouTube videos! Made me want to get back there asap!
  25. Missed you guys again! I was at MK on Saturday for the "extra festive" days! Soren, best of luck back in Germany!
