  1. Officiating has been very suspect as of late. Though I'm glad the Lakers won tonight against Utah, the Jazz did get dicked on a lot of calls.
  2. ^I'm still not 100% convinced it's a MCBR. It's just the safety brake to the Main Brake and just has a huge section of track between it and the Service Brake. The track area behind the shed is where the Transfer block and Service block rest. That essentially would make the Mid-Course block, a Safety Brake, and not it's own block.
  3. X has historically been rehabbed in Jan/Feb, but that was based on it's initial Jan '02 debut. It's May re-inception may have an effect. Just an educated guess, though.
  4. I'd be shocked if any team this season wins 70 games. There is a lot of competiton everywhere in the league.
  5. I haven't slept in 35 hours and counting. There's a lot of work that goes into being a garage mechanic....Sheesh!
  6. And if they keep playing the way they are that game in March might mean something.
  7. Universal Mind Control-Common
  8. Yea...aside from the two subpar marketing campaigns ("You Are Here" and the "One Flag, Six Flags") it seems like they've hit a homerun. Still, it couldn't hurt to start up a petition to BRING BACK MR. SIX!!!
  9. Went to the park today. I know that the weather halted the operation of a lot of rides, so there's no one to blame, but still, sigh.
  10. 1.59 the last time I filled up. I put 20 on the pump and got back 3 bucks with a full tank.
  11. All State All Pro Apollo Legend Awwwwww...I'm the shit!
  12. ^Hates final exams V Lives for final exams
  13. Sketches of a man-Dwele
  14. ^Only taking pride in working at Dragster and nowhere else seems kinda childish on your part. It goes far past CP or any park. As an eployee at a job there may be things required of you that you may not enjoy. Now I was with you up until the whole "can't be proud of CS" thing. Think of it this way. There are 20 slots they fill for Dragster, and 30 for Snoopy. 18 out of those 30 decide to quit because they were butt-sore hurt that they didn't get Maverick. Now there are twelve slots that need to be filled until replacements can be filled. What would you expect to get out of an internship at Cedar Point if you quit whenever you specifically can't get your way? I don't know too many jobs period where its sunshine and lolipops 100% of the time. I'm sorry that things didn't work out for you, but it doesn't sound like the park was all to blame.
  15. ^I think you're 100% right about the internship and it being an epic fail on whatever parks management team in treating their employees like expendible dead-weights, but that's how the business is. You are also right about using a major ride to lure someone to employment somewhere and switching them once they got there, but the reality is that's how things are done. I don't personally agree with this practice, from a management standpoint (especially a field supervisor) it's not about showing someone the ropes of park operations only to graduate from a respectablle school and end up with a career that makes four times as much as they do bossing around incompetent teens. It's about filling the gaps in the park.
  16. Did the Lakers just get blown out by the fucking Kings?!?!?
  17. I hear that Knott's also plans to add CDRide to Silver Bullet if the other coasters sell their respectful vids well.
  18. Laughing Dragon is a seasonal restaurant. It's always been that way.
  19. ^Truer worlds have seldom been spoken.
  20. ^I don't see haow the area is "depressing". It's landscaped pretty nicely and a tranquil part of the park. Where does the problem lay?
  21. ^ I read about that. He couldn't at least say cookong accident?
  22. Opening Day is shy under 6 months away, so what's the rush? I'm looking forward to the construction as much as the next coaster geek, but the park will advertise when they feel is the best strategical time to do so.
  23. ^^ How long did you stick it out? I'm just curious because those of us who have worked in ride operations know that you may have a ride you're normally scheduled for but can always be pulled to another. Did you get sent to Camp Snoopy as a "day transfer" (as we would call it in a Six Flags park) or were you specifically told you would not be going to Dragster at all and spending your entire employment in Camp Snoopy. I doubt the latter happened. We've all got pulled to crappy rides. It happens.
