I never saw the old batman stunt show, but I hear it had a lot more dialogue to it. I'm not a big fan of the whole "Batman Begins" moniker. The Tim Burton rendition of Batman is timeless, so I look at "Dark Knight" being cool, but I think they should start from scratch in a new area rather than revamping the current Gotham City.

But that WILL suck as convincing people to stand in a queue with no shade on a hot day to ride a top spin they won't get wet on will be very difficult -

It is a seasonal thing. Great TR! Last summer was tha last time the water would be used for ride cycling. As most people who frequently visit KBF you'd know Rip Tide has a lot of downtime. One way maintainence came up with to reduce downtime was to keep it on "Show Water" only. This summer Rip Tide will not be a water ride -
X2 is scheduled to be a flashpass attraction. However it is based on three train operation. For those who can remember X's first peak season was the only season it accepted flashpass, because the lines got equal to the stand-by line. I know that people still buy flashpasses thinking that they're good for Deja Vu and X.

Batman is a classic as is. Theming a COMPLETELY NEW area to Gotham is a great idea however. Now another Batman & Robin dueling coaster is a great idea, especially since Robin seems to be left out of the Six Flags "ride circuit" more than he should. (Two Mr. Freeze rides, The Riddler's Revenge, Joker's Jinx, Two Face: The Flip Side and Catwoman's Whip just to name a few), but no Robin. I'm not saying to invest in 350 ft. intamin giga coaster and call it "The Boy Wonder", but another attempt at Chiller would be great (just be sure the ride works this time around)

i'd go ape poopie if sfmm got a gci inn 2009. after seeing all the photos of renegade, it made me wonder why the park is postponing it for so long. SF st louis only has 8 coasters...and three are woodies! out of 16 at MM they have one MORE WOOD MORE FUN! -

the zero g roll on a floorless is very similar to an in-line twist on an invert. no im not bad mouthing floorless rides. i hear hydra and medusa west are actually pretty damn good, but scream is just a 3 minute bore-fest. i rode dominator when it was a guaqua lake, and it was a lot smmother than scream and had a turn after the first loop, which i thought was cool cause most all b&m's go into another inversion after the vertical loop, which kills the speed. -

batman and scream are unfair comparisons because the batman clones were all designed by stengel. the last B&M designed by stengel was Riddler's revenge, after that, B&M started designing in-house. for those in california, compare scream to silver bullet at Knott's bery farm and notice that with the exception of a mid course and interlocking corkscrews on scream, they can technically be the same ride -

Scream! is a pointless ride to me. it isn't as forceful as batman, though it hits speeds 15 mph faster than batman. Scream was just a filler coaster that got pulled from another park to be put into SFMM to keep the coaster record as cedar point also opened their 16th rollercoaster in 2003. I still think that ride doesnt fit into the park, hence why Ninja (yes...even ninja) gets longer lines than scream in peak season -
I thought that with such a hefty price tag that B&M was done selling flyers...i mean with tatsu costing 21 million bucks, the only company i thought would buy any more was six flags, but how wrong could i be. it would be pretty bitchin if the actual trains are like the concept art. Tatsu's concept art had a pilot car shaped like a dragon's head...which was not fabricated and ended up being the standard flyer train

This ride was relocated because it's evident SFNO will not reopen. So SFFT didn't entirely get this ride because the park needed a new ride, SF just didn't want to scrap it. It seems to fit the park very well, but three things that stick out like sore thumbs: 1) It makes little to no sense to have both a B&M invert and floorless in the same park, as they create the exact same riding experience 2) 105 foot coaster with a 90 foot drop...and you call it goliath? 3) no one is as big a fan of batman clones as I, (my fav. coaster at SFMM after X), but with SFOT a suitible drive away, it would have been more fitting to see a custom ride go in to this park other than these points, i think its an okay fit and look forward to my trip to both texas parks in june. xlnt PTR -

I still thin it looks nice...the themeing could be a lot worse -
i've been follwing this ride since groundbreak so it's cool to see it finally open. awesome PTR and it amazes me to see how well you can theme a b&m. i thought it just to be a busch gardens thing (seeing how my park is magic mountain, and scream's theme is "Park your car under cobra roll and hop in line") i may have to visit this park soon
