Gas Prices where you live
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
On my way to school, I waited in a 1/2 hour line to buy gas at 3.75/gal. -
I said it when I worked there, and I'll say it now...Minors aren't the way to go, but the way it was explained to me, it is a hump they can't quite get over. When they have to cut overtime, it's hard to convince adults to drive from from the San Fernando Valley to work for six hours a day at 8.50 an hour. When they have it in the budget to staff people for 13-14 hours agian you'd see the adult employee rate increase.

Horrible Park Operations
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^^Parks will get their money one way or the other, It's clinicly proven. Best example is when parks promote "Toys for Tots". When you get in a park for free, you feel like you own the place, and throw around the same cash you would have spent on a ticket anyway. I seriously doubt that getting around parking is that easy. I'm not calling you a liar, but you may want to extinguish your pants. -

^I'm registered Green so I don't care who wins, because we'll all be screwed either way, but McCain will win. This whole thing between Obama and Clinton is just a tactic to split the Democrat vote. Third Party Candidate. Throwing your vote away is the best solution! Ralph Nader for 09! -

Why Thank You! -
Being a factor when it counts (Playoffs) overshadows any high flying dunk or scoring leading season. The fact that Robert Horry has more championship rings than Michael Jordan is appauling, but like I said...he's a factor when it counts. As for the Lakers-Spurs match up. This will be considered a rivalry game obviously and we can look to a hot blooded series. With the exception of the Pistons in 2004, the winner of this Western Conference match up goes on to to win it all. The roster is slighty...okay COMPLETELY different for the Lakers, but I still like their chances. Lamar Odom will run the floor and beat Tim Duncan in transition, and Pau Gasol kinda has this sense of a need to win against the Spurs (0-8 in playoffs, he's probably thinking revenge). Regardless of all the praise Bruce Bowen gets for being a "superior" defender, Kobe has proven he's still good for 30+ points. Plus, it's been a while since we've had home court advantage against the Spurs, let's hope we can exploit that.

Horrible Park Operations

Knott's Berry Farm- I used to work at Xcelerator for summer 2006. We dispatched trains consistantly every 1:10. I went last weekend. Every 2-3 minutes. I was talking to the shiftlead about that. She told me the crew got an hourly count of about 300 people. When I worked at the Riddler's revenge last summer, I would take unload side by myself and still check seats faster than the two people on the load side. -
DID YOU KNOW?
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to coasterfreak81's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only B&M coaster capable of running 3 trains, with 7-coach trains is Superman Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Over Georgia? Every other B&M model that has 3 trains are standard 32 passenger trains. -
Let's just hope that in the outcome of a Laker parade, we don't see the events that happened back in 2002 (two stabbings and TONS of fights at the near-by train stop) _____________________________________________________________ As the comissioner, let's hope he fixes the series to reflect this match up...Just kidding...or am I?

I have an itch in my stomach that can only be scratched by my good friend alcohol!!! -
^^To be honest I would be surprised if this ride has more than two inversions. Of course that will not take away from the ride's integrity. If it is not a thrill ride, which I'm almost absolutely sure it isn't, It will still offer something dynamic and fun. The downside to B&M being family rides however, is that pesky 54" height requirement.

As fun of a ride as it is, it looses points for a the right turn on the initial turn being so sharp it clips you in the jaw. **Psyclone was an extremely rough ride, but whenever I went, it was always open, and it never had a line. That is saying alot for a Magic mountain ride back in those days. -

Did you know that The Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain is based on Jim Carrey's rendition of the The Riddler (Batman Forever 1995) and not the comic book rendition?
