  1. i just saw a Trojan Twister commercial, which is really odd because I can't say I've ever seen TV ads for vibrators.... What IS this world coming to? Oh....it's coming to vibrators, nevermind.
  2. Wow. I haven't been on Ghostrider since 2009, so it sounds like whatever fond memories I have of it, I should stay off and preserve them. That drop of the MCBR was truly the only redeeming portion of present day GR. I rode Ghostrider for the first time in 2004 and even then it was an above average ride. Now? Open to interpret...
  3. I didn't even know Windseeker had a media day....Guess it's good they got the word out it's open!
  4. ^Don't worry. With as judgmental as we are here, we'd be disapointed no matter what it turns out to be!
  5. ^Though I don't think the city would ever go for Knott's building over any street, IF it were EVER an option, they'd have a better shot with building over a street than under it.
  6. ^It would be nice, with such a diverse collection, Magic Mountain needs something that unique. Deja Vu's spot along with an out rim of Terminator would be well more than enough space to tuck a stellar ride in that spot.
  7. IIRC. it's not so much aesthetics as to why BP won't grant Knott's permission to build over any streets, it has to do with clearances/maintenance. Every single street Knott's sits on is a pretty major street. Imagine the traffic congestion on Beach Blvd for however long the construction was, plus, after it's built, the possibility of valleying, routine maintenance, etc. It's just easier in the long run to keep everything situated between Beach & Western, La Palma & Cresent. I do like the idea of a Boardwalk station with the route extending into the South/Hotel parking lot. That gives them enough space to build a 5,000ft+ coaster easily....of course that would bring up all kinds of noise complaints. I know there is a convalescent home on that corner, along with apartment buildings and motels, so I can see the red tape Knott's would have to go around if they choose this route.
  8. Windseeker was a really cool observatory ride. High? Yes. Mighty? I'll leave that open for others to interpret. As for 2012 speculation. I hope that if Knott's is to get anything next year, that it makes up for all the less than spectacular additions since Silver Bullet (not saying Bullet was spectacular, but at least it was big) A giga coaster would pull Knott's out of a rut most of us seem to think it's in. It would definately give the park a lot more appeal and make it coaster collection more distinguished. But of course these are all rumors, so who knows what's going to happen.
  9. She's a PYT....my pretty young thang....
  10. ^Hope you have a great time if you can make it. I haven't been mysefl since WCB. I really want to check out GL, but with summer being in full swing, it's hard to find spare time. Hope to get there some time in the fall.
  11. ^If they can find another sucker-investor, why the flip not?
  12. I will admit Bay Area Bash was a lot more fun than what I expected out of it. I think that having a smaller group of people really helped control the feel of it. And I got two Invertigo wheels (My girlfriend gave me hers) So woot woot on that!
  13. ^True, but it's kinda hard to incorporate that kind of thing into a ride after opening.
  14. I was pretty excited about this...but now.... I've lost interest for some reason.
  15. Sounds like Windseeker is just a matter of passing inspections and getting things signed off now. Shouldn't be too much longer...
  16. Am I the only one who thinks this ride has a notably short cycle time? Doesn't seem to spend very long at the top
  17. ^^Yes, internally, All the rides are abbreviated to either two or three letters for scheduling purposes. "SE" is the abbreviation for Supreme Scream.
  18. How many people outside of this park know that there's any type of quarrel called a "coaster war"? Hell, I don't even care.
  19. IIRC, it's not the guests that will be complaining about the lighting, SE used to have alternating lights on each one of the towers, and the FAA didn't approve of that too much...
  20. ^Why that's the case in the middle of summer is beyond me. If you're not going to run it that's one thing, but at least set up a rehab schedule to where all three are AVAILABLE for summer.
  21. ^Maybe the investors feel it's better investing in this park than selling Pre-Paid Legal...
  22. The way this park operates, you'd think it's just Herpes flaring up every now and then...
  23. Doesn't seem like it's going to be much longer....so yay to that. On an unrelated topic, I've noticed the hiring for Haunt monsters has started (At least for returning employees), has any info been released for the mazes/scarezones? I've been so busy working I haven't had the time to keep up on this stuff
