  1. lol good thing you got on Behemoth when you did.
  2. Wow, nice pictures. Are Colossus at SFMM and Gemini at Cedar Point the only remaining dualing/racing wooden coasters left? Or are there a few other still standing? Just cruious.
  3. that's true, but so far we know nothing about the train actually touching the water. It could get close enough to look like it, with water jets spraying riders to add the effect of the train actually skimming the water.
  4. Isnt this the ride where the que-line goes through the animal exhibits? I had heard Sea World was doing such. Like the artwork though. Looks like Tatsu does have a competitor worthy of it.

  6. This ride was relocated because it's evident SFNO will not reopen. So SFFT didn't entirely get this ride because the park needed a new ride, SF just didn't want to scrap it. It seems to fit the park very well, but three things that stick out like sore thumbs: 1) It makes little to no sense to have both a B&M invert and floorless in the same park, as they create the exact same riding experience 2) 105 foot coaster with a 90 foot drop...and you call it goliath? 3) no one is as big a fan of batman clones as I, (my fav. coaster at SFMM after X), but with SFOT a suitible drive away, it would have been more fitting to see a custom ride go in to this park other than these points, i think its an okay fit and look forward to my trip to both texas parks in june. xlnt Photo TR I agree. B&M needs to design their inverted and floorless coasters with more variety, whether its removing some inversions, make the coaster longer, etc. And the same for the coaster's name- the name of the ride needs to fit it. Example: Kingda Ka and Expedition Everest. Ka's name is perfectly suited for it due to it's location in Six Flags Great Adventure, and it is pretty much the king of all coasters. And Everest for the design of its trains and the theming and story of the coaster. I guess i can also agree with your last point. Every SF park does need a Batman clone.

  8. Great TR! Sad for Dark Knight, maybe its coming over here at SFMM as the rumored 2009 coaster? I'm also glad most, if not all, the Six Flags parks are getting some love with all the renovations, big and small, they are making.
  9. Like the colors. Wonder why they went with a design identical( or similiar) to the Batman coasters at other Six Flags parks. But great TR!!
  10. lol looks like they got some ideas from Everest. are the mammoths animatronic? and great pics!
  11. So now only Six Flags Great Adventure and Great America will now have the Dark Knight Coaster?
  12. Damn that really sucks. Arson without a doubt. I really hope for the park's sake that maybe Six Flags or Cedar Point buy the park and rebuild what remains of Scenic. Or just that the park can rebuild Scenic. Either way, it may not be the same, but at least hopefully there will be some remains of the orginal ride. It's tragic that a piece of roller coaster/theme park history may be lost.
  13. oopps srry then. I need to contact TPR then just in case to make sure. But thanks anyway.
  14. I'm pretty sure that few on TPR have heard that this coaster was being built, but I thought I'd give you all some updates on some of the parks owned by Six Flags. I apologize if the pictures are small again, as I pulled them off of the website: http://www.sixflags.com/overTexas/rides/constructionphotos.aspx BIG SPIN will be opening in the following Six Flags Parks: St. Louis, Fiesta Texas, Over Texas, and Discovery Kingdom. A personnal question: what roller coaster designing companies are from Europe? just wondering. These pieces of track and the others already shown have been shipped from Europe. More landscaping i think...no wait, the foundations for the coaster being laid. A fence? O.o Some support poles i think Like the color. More landscaping This was taken from Skycoaster...just landscaping and all.
  15. Is it anywhere near as bad as Disneyland during the week of Christmas? It was pretty crowded when I went last year. Well I guess I'll have to talk to everyone else in my group then, to see if we can go on the 19th instead. Thanks for warning me! Disneyland is pretty packed almost everyday of the week, but when I go I rarely consider a park of its size "crowded". Even so, all of its rides are worth the wait.
  16. I agree with a junior woodie. Perhaps Collosus Jr. or something like that?
  17. Me too. I have major El Toro envy. And since I'm wishing, I wish they'd do a "Psyclone 2" with an awesome Space Diver light show/effectstravaganza. lol thing is I've never been on El Toro but have seen many videos of it and heard that it is such a great wooden coaster. And I know although Colossus is a classic wooden coaster SFMM needs a new one. And i'd love to see a Psyclone 2 with a space diver light show lol
  18. I think when X was open for the first year or two everyone, meaning mostly SFMM and Arrow, was surprised at how great of a coaster X became. Personnally, I think X was simply was one of the greatest coasters in the world, even though it was not the fastest or the tallest. I'm glad its receiving updates on the trains and the new paint. Can't wait to ride X2 Great update! I'm glad my second favorite park is finally being cleaned up and some of its rides refurbished with new paint and such. I only wish SFMM would build an Intamin woodie like El Toro at Great Adventure, though I doubt they have the room for it. Question: Has X2 got its new visual and audio systems and when will the tunnel be installed, if there will be one?
  19. Happy B-day KidTums! hehe I hope to go to Legoland soon. Never been there before.
  20. will they also include perhaps some exhibits about the park's future? I know they most likely wont, because it is a musuem about the park's past, but I for one would like to know a bit about what is to come for SFMM other than X2 and Thomas Town.
  21. cant wait for sky Tower to open. It'll be interesting to see what the designs were for rides that never made it
  22. Come on dude, are you serious? Yeah. I have never been to any of the Busch Garden parks, only watched videos about them. In fact, outside of Disneyland Resort, Six Flags Magic Mountain (which I live only an hour away from), Knotts and Sea World I have not been to any amusement parks. So I have no idea where Dubai is.
  23. Where is Dubai? And I wonder what coasters will be there and what the themeing of World's of Discovery will be now that Busch Gardens has already two parks themed after Africa and Europe? Anywho, looks great!
  24. seems to be turning out quite nice!
