  1. They are prototype trains. B&M is trying out something new. thanks. Its nice to know B&M is doing something new...at least with their trains.
  2. Wow. Those are very interesting looking trains!!!! They custom made or just the type of train all hypercoasters use?
  3. since construction has already began yeah it will probably open around the park's opening day or late spring. check on the link. maybe they have posted its opening day already.
  4. I knew it was a hyper coaster when they announced it, but the layout seemed very similar to Goliath at SFoG
  5. Is it me or does that look like Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia? Not exactly, but it seems to me it kinda does. Oh well, looks like its coming along great!
  6. Unfortunately yeah they are a bit small. I hope six Flags will post some larger photos as they progress with construction.
  7. Here are some of the new The Dark Knight construction photos I pulled off from Six Flags Great Adventure home page. Its not all of them (there are more on the website itself). I'll leave no captions just photos. Enjoy! oh and here is the link for the other photos: http://www.sixflags.com/greatAdventure/rides/constructionphotos.aspx Some drainage pipes or something :/
  8. Its amazing to see how far Magic Mountain and Six Flags have came from those days. Back then coasters around Collosus's size were considered monsters. Now looking at rides like Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster, and X, Collosus is nothing more than a classic, I'm-going-to-hurt-your-sides-so-badly wooden coaster, even though its still an ok ride where old wooden coasters are concerned. Its funny to see how they boasted the Collosus was the greatest coaster of its time back then lol. Thanks for the pics!
  9. Great idea! It would certainly increase Superman's thrill factor as people going up will actually see how high they are!
  10. It'll probably open in late Spring or early Summer, depending on how long it takes to install the new visual and audio systems and tunnel.
  11. LOVE THE NEW TRAINS AND TRACK!! Thanks for the update. Can u get in a pic of the new tunnel? man X2 looks great. good move on repainting the tracks and supports and adding new stuff on SFMM's part. Now if they could just add more flat rides, dark rides, or other non-roller coaster rides, and then they'll have a perfect balance of family and thrill rides. I also hope they'll update Collosus-make it less rough but maintain what makes it a classic wooden coaster.
  12. yea, SFMM should make the area where Goliath and the Buccaneer and Swashbuckler are Pirate-Island themed. It would certainly help them since outside of Samurai Summit, Cyclone Bay and Collossus County Fair they dont have any themes.
  13. I agree on the removing of Superman. Its not running like it once was nor is it as popular as it was when it opened. They could replace it with another samurai/ninja themed coaster like Ninja and Tatsu. With the removal of Psyclone they certainly have enough room for some Zamperla rides and other family oriented rides. Hopefully they'll even consider adding a dark ride or two.
  14. doesn't look too bad, but yeah, a 100ft beyond vertical drop is not very impressive at all. i would be more impressive if it was at the least a 150ft tall beyond vertical drop.
