  1. Welcome to the Great American Melting Pot - - - melted.
  2. Our daily paper today, The Vancouver Sun had as the Big Feature in their travel section..... ...Copenhagen, at this time of year!!! Talk about timing, heh heh heh. And of course, they did quite a full color spread on some of the decorations aroudn the city AND at Tivloi. Wow. There are so many weeping willows there just covered in lights. I thought that one willow you showed in your first set of pix was just one of a few. I had no idea there were so many gowing there in that city. And all those lights... My, my. For newspaper pix, they turned out amazingly well. Looking forward to more photos from you. And Happy Holidays everybody!
  3. Looks like you are having a great time there. Merci for keeping us "in touch" with how it's going, so far. Chip & Dale Deedly Boppers hmm? GO Elissa!!! And I hope you all have a lovely Holiday Weekend this weekend, and as well a boffo New Year's Eve, wherever you're spending it. I forgot where you said. Silly ole'bear I is. Have fun you guys. And safe journey back to this continent, hmm?
  4. (Walking In A) Winter Wonderland Annie Lennox
  5. And broke, I seem to remember.
  6. That's ok about the reverse order thing with the photos. It happens. Great TR, with the lights up on the trees! That willow looks amazing, dripping in all those lights. Thanks for sharing and Happy Solstice!
  7. After picking up 'stocking stuffers' via our local Safeway (candy, special teas, stuff like that) I went to our local liquor store and bought... A 'mickie' of Capatain Morgan's (original) Spiced Rum! I kid you not - that's what small liquor bottles used to be called, at least when I was young and (ahem) impressionable. This is a 375 ml size. Yay, metric! (Not the airline liquor bottle size, BTW. Bigger than that. Muuuch bigger.) $12 Cdn for a bit of oomph to the egg nog, lolol. You like your spiced rum with, or without EARS???
  8. "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" Diana Krall featuring The Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra 8)
  9. I'll be at my home bar. They don't do cover, they serve good champagne with shots of whiskey in it (yum) for midnight, and it's no-attitude hea-ven! David knows I enjoy doing this sometimes (done a lot of home parties and quiet ones at-home), so we split once in a great while. And/or he'll show up just before midnight at the bar.... The dumb bastard loves me!
  10. ^ Looks like a lovely place for a vacation get-a-way. Very nice. Love sunsets. Mm, m! Thanks for sharing.
  11. ^ It's really an amazing rotation switch system they've created of this. And not just one, but two sets of this amazing track piece. And they're both synched together, in how the first and second train travel the tracks. And you also get to see a tiny bit of how they had to weave and integrate together, three separate framework systems that couldn't touch each other. The two main frameings were the coaster structure and the mountain, itself. The third is what Yeti is sitting within, I have heard. Good Disney stuff, heh heh
  12. ^ I hope so. Here's the artwork v for TDS's version, c/o Joe's TDR Photo Site. Definitely different than the other two ToTs.
  13. But then, my cancels that out, hmmm? Hugs.
  14. Hmmm. Any chance we'd be getting it up here, thru Canuck distributors, Wallace? Ho ho ho.
  15. I am sick and tired of David starting an argument up, based on HIS mistaken assumption, that what I just said to him, meant something else to him, therfore I am at fault here??? :? :? :? :? :? :? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. And I'm not even sure if that crap made any sense, what I just ranted there! Hmmmmph.
  16. I know ^ Me, too. ^
  17. Wow. Those first photos of the pieces look... interesting. Wait a sec. OMG!!! (Then goes into trance...) - I - want - candy -
  18. Violins always sound so .... drippy. :?
  19. That's what, $50 US ? Better than a dolla fortee-ny-y-yne, nyuk nyuk. Woot.
  20. Nice review there. I like the photo, of the building itself, tracks 'bursting' out of two holes in it. Nice. I like the fact that some parks are paying for their stations to look as much a part of the attraction, as the coaster itself. I think IOA and Dueling Dragons was really one of the first, if not The First, to actually "do a Disney" on it's lineup building - for a coaster, specificially. Superman looks like a winner. Thanks for sharing the experience of it's (and yours) first flight.
  21. I think it all had to do with the new parks that opened in 2001 and 2002, being California Adventure, Tokyo Disney Seas, and Paris' Disney Studios. From 1994 till 2001, they just didn't have the space for the (apparent) massive power supply buildings needed for this attraction, like they had at WDW and the Studios there. And in the DCA one, it seems they 'just' had enough space to fit them in, beside the attration. So, I guess if any of these three parks had opened earlier than 2001, you probably would have seen a ToT started earlier, etc. IMhO EDIT: I also agree with Cerebus that this Paris ToT will look different than the other three, basically for the same reasons that Phantom Manor looks like it does - for communicating visually, the experience ahead. They'll have to do something different visually, and maybe, just maybe, they aren't really showing all the concept art for this one, hmm?
  22. Amazing! I'm going to be visiting with friends in Southend-on-Sea, a week or so before the "official start" of the TPR UK Tour next June! Now it looks like I might get one or two extra credits in that the others won't, hee hee hee. Thanks for sharing your c-c-c-c-cold adventures, lol.
  23. Great overhead shots, just as everything changes with the light, lol. Were you in the big ferris skywheel there, taking the shots? Looked like it.
  24. To make it short and sweet... My 'highlight' of the 2005 coaster year? Easy. And truthfully. Joining up with TPR and meeting all of youse guys and gurls. Then
