  1. ^ The hippos are probably going to be well taken care of, in TDL.
  2. The front car of the train looks very nice. Scary and nice.
  3. The queues are going to be longer at these updated attractions, more than (dare I say) Star Tours or Space Mountain! (Fast Passes for the Jungle Cruise "Night Cruise"?...)
  4. ^ omg those candles on your arms look HUGE, lol! Was it hard to work with them? Good show for you, in doing so.
  5. I think that when all is said and done, we should be thankful they go to so much trouble to make sure the ride is safe for everybody... storing tissues included, LOL! I mean, if even half of what they do, was done in the parks here, it could improve parks' guest relations immeasureably.
  6. Am doing a Test Bump, to see if the time change has corrected itself. I posted the start of the TR just after noon, but somehow got over 4 hours deducted from my posting time. Hmmm... EDIT: it has! I'm happy.
  7. After all the parks we visited on the recent Japan tour, I guess it'll be back to good old Playland (PNE) soon.
  8. Man, with all the new renovations and changes happening in the next couple of years (jungle Cruise, Mermaid Show, etc.) ... definitely have to get back there in a couple of years!
  9. June 26 - 27 / Departing Vancouver / Arriving Tokyo This sort of gets old, but there's nothing like returning to a country that you love and want to enjoy again and again. Such is the case with my 3rd TPR tour to the Land of the Rising Sun. But this time, I had the good fortune to bring my partner David along for the ride, as I always wanted him to see for himself, what I always loved about Japan, and the TPR tours here. So, after a good breakfast at the Vancouver Airport, we took off for the Far East, jumped a day in time (woo hoo!), and found ourself at the wonderful Shinagawa Prince Hotel, one that is always a fave among both tourers and Robb and Elissa. We also had processed our JR Rail passes at the Narita Airport, as we would be using them the next day, to take a train to Yokohama to meet up with those who had started touring a few days before us. And so - it begins... I always start with a trip envelope to gather all my info. about the upcoming tour. Not very high-tech, but it works for me. A good breakfast for us both, before boarding the plane and flying off to Tokyo. This is just to prove David WAS on the tour with me, heh heh. We've arrived - the next day - and have a meal up in the Prince Hotel's Food Court. I am so overjoyed to be here again, I will eat anything I have no idea about, LOL! A model display in the hotel's lobby. I think it was a (very) mini-view of Tokyo. A tree outside the always popular 7/11 - or as they call it, 7 & Holdings. Wierd. Soon enough, night arrived, so here's shot of the hotel's entrance. Same tree outside 7/11 - now with added blue lighting! And our view from our hotel room at night. Tomorrow, we take the train to Yokohoma!
  10. Just saw Monsters University yesterday. Great fun. Lots of background stuff to look at. And lots and lots and LOTS of monsters to see, too. I couldn't keep track of the assortment we saw, lol. 8/10
  11. Or go back and use the old Visionarium film from Disney Paris, lol.
  12. Great-looking coaster and ride POV. Thanks for sharing it, Hanno!
  13. the soundtrack to Tokyo Disney Sea's production of Big Band Beat
  14. ...Or maybe they should end up at one of the Happy Valleys in China. The more obscure, the better.
  15. Currently, anything that I got from Tokyo Disney Resort, lol!
  16. Apple Tea Soda - the "un-official" drink of Tokyo Disney Resort. (o:
  17. Yes - on Diavlo in Central Park, Japan for my last ride before we took off back to the hotel. (2007) I was in the front row, and it was really awesome, all things considered, heh heh. And recently, on the now finished TPR Japan Tour, David and me were sat at "the back of the boat" (how embarrassing) at Sindbad's Adventure,in Tokyo Disney Sea. Not exactly a coaster, but it still felt...wierd. "All by myself..." Diavlo in Central Park, Japan.
  18. If they do a Soarin'-type attraction, I could imagine the fly-over of Mt. Fuji would be incredible, alone. (And at the Tokyo Disney Resort, you can't go wrong with BAYSIDE STATION, the gateway to the Tokyo Disney Hilton Hotel, lol.)
  19. ^ Thanks. And here's a pic that a new tour friend, Erwin, took of us in the queue of Pooh's Hunny Hunt. Heh heh, it almost looks like we're already on the ride itself! Same shirts, same beards.... we sort of stood out at the park, LOL! And yeah, I had no idea the huz was "doing that" behind my head. The cad. (o:
  20. The soundtrack to Tokyo Disney Sea's Fantasmic Amazing harbor show at TDS!
  21. Ha! Me and the huzbear just got back from the TPR Japan Tour. I am happy to report David got on (more than) a few rough and swell coasters, survived the heat wave in Tokyo this past weekend, and had an all 'round great time with TPR! Gotta love the guy for that, and even after 41 years together, and no real interest in coasters whatsoever, he took it in stride and did me proud.
  22. And for the Tokyo Disney fanbois... Aquatopia was The First Trackless Disney Attraction to be designed and built - so of course, they couldn't put tooooo much into it, before figuring out it could be done more complex a la Pooh. (And at night, the lighting is still really great and cool to see._ Of course, after Pooh's Hunny Hunt came "Mystic Manor" in Hong Kong Disneyland, and now coming up is "Ratatouille" in Paris' Disney Studios in 2014.... And for Shanghai Disneyland, who knows what elaborate awesome trackless attraction(s) they'll (hopefully) design and build? ....drool. I mean, it's really gone from silly and fun - to awesome and amazing and fun!
  23. Back on here... I am calling that coaster at the resort, Twister DIVE Coaster! It was amazing with the hang time involved. And (I think) that's 5 twister ultra coasters I've done around the world, woo hoo! Cosmoworld amazes me every time, just from their entrance greeting sign, and the ERT etc. They really REALLY love TPR! And of course, MEAT COW capsule machine! And locking us in the Ice House was a real treat, ha ha...
  24. Woo hoo! Just got back from Tokyo, and am now reliving four hours that we got back on the plane ride home LOL! I do love Time Travelling from Japan, hee hee. (We left at 4 pm this coming afternoon, and arrived 8 hours earlier the same day, today. I love it.) Thanks for a great tour, Robb and Elissa, and I look forward to 'catching up' with what you have posted on the thread, so far. Oh... and Tokyo Disney Sea Still RAWKS!
