Photo TR: Kevin's First Time... to Orlando!
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to Double0Kevin's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great TR! BGT is my definite "must-visit soon" of all the Florida parks. I loved BGW when I visited in 2009, and Tampa has a great assortment of coasters from what I've seen! This pic is so cute. Sleepy kitty. -
Wow, we're having a bona-fide TPR meet-up going here! Just need some ERT and we'll be set. But the park might be pretty dead, so it'll pretty much be like ERT. Also, I volunteer as the organizer for this. If you want to meet up with us on Sunday and I don't have your contact info, please message me. I second this, we got onto Roadrunner no problem. In fact, we somehow crammed both Rolercstrluvr and I into ONE seat on Roadrunner. It was a very painful experience, though. That little coaster was not designed for adults! I do not recommend if you have back or neck problems. I second this, Cal1br3tto! If you can wait to go on Sunday, it'd be great to finally meet another of the rare female TPR members! Or if you want to go a day earlier, I've been thinking of going on Friday as well. Also... does anyone need a parking pass??? I have a FREE parking pass that needs to be used up this year, but I have season pass parking. I won a contest and and part of my prize was this SFDK parking pass. If you are going on Sunday and DON'T have season pass parking, please let me know and we can meet up before we park and I'll give it to you. It's $18, FREE!! So first-come, first-serve message me!

Yes, if I have money for the monthly fees (which right now I don't) I do roller derby. Do you watch the news on TV?

				Gas Prices where you live

I saw $3.41 in Santa Rosa today. I can't believe gas is so much cheaper in Texas! Well... I guess I can believe it, LOL. -

Game: When was the last time you...
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to onewheeled999's topic in Random, Random, Random
In high school. We'd play it in my Spanish class sometimes. So probably... fall 2008 was the last time I played? When was the last time you've remembered a dream? -
Glad someone revived the SFDK thread again! Tazmanian Devil is probably my favorite flat in the park, with VooDoo a close second. I know several people who've said they don't like Taz because it makes them too dizzy. I love it though, if you get lucky and get on the high end of the swing, you get some really great floater. And glad to see our little TPR meet-up is drawing more people! It's still a little early but by Friday or Saturday someone either needs to collect phone numbers or we need to arrange a meet-up time and place for all of us to connect on Saturday.

Coasters/amusement parks: --If I was at a park and came there for one awesome coaster in particular, and I knew I wasn't going to be back for a while, and if the coaster was REALLY worth it more-so than anything else at the park --If I was waiting with some really interesting people, and we were playing an epic game of ninja or something else in the queue, and the rest of the park I had already hit up. I suppose with interesting company, any length of queue can become fun. --If it was really special circumstances, like my home park getting a giga coaster or something crazy and I just had to ride it on opening day, or if it was a fairly good coaster that was going away forever and I had only one day left to get the credit. Non-coasters: --A KILLER deal. Like "first 100 people get season passes for life" or "first 50 people get a brand new car" and then maybe I'd park myself in line to catch the prize. Can't think of anything else! 5 hours is a LOT! 2-3 hours is pretty much my max.

RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to onewheeled999's topic in Random, Random, Random
Congrats! I like this thread, but it did disappear for a while. Answer: Saturday. I totally wasn't expecting it either. I had been playing Slender by myself without screaming, but Saturday night I played it with a small audience and we got super into it, and when slenderman caught me, we all screamed. It was awesome. xD When was the last time you rode a bike? -
	Yes Do you watch football?

^^That is so cool! Is your school a theater/film school? That must be a really fun thing to major in! I've mentioned it before but I'm an English major with Creative Writing emphasis, and thinking about minoring in math.

				What is your favorite TV-series?
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to Hattuchili's topic in Random, Random, Random
LOST is my all-time favorite and I'm currently going back through it again with rolercstrluvr Shows I've recently been getting into: --Walking Dead --Revolution (both of the above are on sabbatical until the spring! Aghh!) --American Horror Story: Asylum (I keep missing episodes but I really want to watch the first season when I can and catch up with what I've missed in the recent season) --Breaking Bad (my roommate has been watching it from the beginning and I've watched a few episodes with her and really like what I've seen! I wouldn't mind getting into this show either!) -
I don't doubt it will open in the spring around park opening, what I wonder is if they'll do some sort of special opening for Gold Striker or if the event will be tied in with park opening? Like do you think there will be some sort of season pass preview or Gold Striker ERT possibly before the park opens? Idk how CGA usually does new ride openings...

lol, glad to see there is someone down by my score! We just aren't as nerdy as some of the others here! I just saw your comment, and it made me laugh! I guess not because I only got like 6/20 this time! I was watching Jimmy Kimmel at the same time too, lol. -

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My friend after looking at a picture of Oblivion: "OMG, they have coasters that go UNDERGROUND?!?" -
I agree! That's the only hang-up in the never-ending debate I find myself in with certain people about whether SFDK is better or a certain other park that I will not speak of here. The other park has many great flats but SFDK only has a few. That's interesting to hear, SFDK always came across as the standard for a good flat ride collection between HUSS Top Spin and Frisbee , Zamperla Hawk48, Zamperla "Joker" [RIP], and the classic teacups, wave swinger, swinging ship, and scrambler. Grant it, we did lose Jambo but the Starflyer more than made up for that. What does it for me at SFDK is the atmosphere in those flat ride sections really bring the park together [well-themed and all-round enjoyable]. Maybe my thirst for flats is easier to quench. Well CGA has the relative equivalents of SFDK's flats, plus a bunch more (including flyers and a great drop ride). SFDK isn't doing too bad compared to their SoCal sister, but they could use a few more. And you're completely right about the atmosphere. ^^Great photo TR! I love all the Christmas lights. I drove by SFDK on the way home today and I really can't wait to go to Holiday in the Park! I'm thinking I'll visit next Sunday.
 -
That is exactly how I feel about it! Seems like every other time I go to the park I'm like, "Hey Kong is underrated! I enjoyed that!" and every other time I'm like, "Owww...Never... never again." Great TRs, guys! Did either of you do any of the Christmas-themed shows or activities? (Besides the free food)
