  1. Jimmy, your trip reports are just as awesome as your videos! My only complaint is that you don't do more of them. I don't envy you living in a state that is consistently over 100 degrees in the summer, though. We just got through three days in a row at or above 105 here in Portland and I thought I was going to die.
  2. Fact: Iced mocha came out through my nose once while reading this report. I now have to deal with sticky keys. Scott owes me a new laptop. On a side note, I'm glad to see the HRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR thread has it's own ride. I can sleep much better at night now.
  3. The Abyss will be on tap at Deschutes tomorrow. I know where I'm going out for dinner. As far as IPA's go, I'm not sure I could pick a single favorite. I have really been diggin 90 Minute IPA lately, though.
  4. Fantastic! Now they can all have their own special place in TPR to live on forever. You know, because it's SOOO much more of a tragedy when a famous person dies, as opposed to just a normal person. Justin "I agree with Ed" Saxe.
  5. Nice weather = Time for a good IPA Pretty much no head and very little carbination, but it is such a great IPA it was still very enjoyable. Blue Dot double IPA from Hair of the Dog.
  6. ^ Yeah, that was amazing! Although, I think Cleveland has got serious problems. If we have a Denver vs Orlando final I'll bet ABC is going to be pissed!
  7. ^ All a matter of opinion, Joe. It just so happens your opinion is the right one!
  8. ^ That's good to hear, because when Ted and I stopped in at the BevMo in Valencia, their beer selection was crap. I had always heard about BevMo being this great place and was highly disappointed.
  9. ^^ It's been too long since I've had me some Nugget Nectar. Man I love that stuff.
  10. Had one that is new to me from Full Sail. Pretty good for a "Scottish Ale". Keelhauler. Part of their Brewmaster Reserve 2009 series.
  11. Exactly. I'd much rather pay $100 for a nice steak dinner at Morton's or Ruth's Chris than $35 at the local "steak house". Love this thread, Dave. Keep 'em coming.
  12. Great movie! I just got done watching it for the second time because I had to show my wife. Very well done.
  13. ^ I've still got two bottles of 2007 Abyss. I was thinking about puting one on eBay but I just can't quite bring myself to do it. It's just so dang good.
  14. ^ Yay for more updates. Justin "Claim Jumper Fanboy" Saxe.
  15. You have some terrific pictures there. I have always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise. Thanks for sharing you trip with us!
  16. Enjoying some local stuff at the pre-WCB party. From left: Jimmy with a Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, me with an Anchor Porter and Ted with a Stone Pale Ale. On a side note, I was quite dissapointed with the selection at BevMo.
  17. #33 Justin (65skylark) #56 Chad and Ellie (my kids) Good to finally meet you Mike.
  18. Robb, Elissa, Chris and Natalie, you guys are awesome! The whole weekend was great! From Kristen's birthday party to the pre-WCB party to the main event on Sunday. I know you guys put a ton of work into this event and it is greatly appreciated. Sandi, Ellie and Chad also wanted me to say "thank you" for them. I'm still not sure if the kids had more fun riding coasters at SFMM for over four hours during ERT or on the giant "slide of death" at Kristen's party. (Actually, I'm pretty sure Chad had more fun on the slide) Either way, it was great hanging out with some great friends, old and new. I also wanted to thank everyone at SFMM for everything they did to make this a great event. I was in the small group that thought we were supposed to meet up for the 11:15 walk back in front of Deja Vu. Once we figured out where we were really supposed to meet up it was too late. However, Tim and Jay both stayed when they didn't have to (in a hail storm I might add) just to make sure our group of maybe 20 people didn't miss the tour. They could have easily just had us come back at 2:30 with the next group but they didn't. That really says a lot to me about how much the park has improved over the last few years. Thank you all so much and we'll see you again next year!
  19. Yay, sushi! Really good sushi is hard to beat. Unfortunately, bad sushi is about as horrible as it gets.
  20. Awesome pictures Joey! Most sports are more fun to watch live, but none so much so a baseball.
  21. It's been about a year but I remeber really liking Old Guardian. I'm not a huge fan of barley wines, though, so maybe that explains it.
  22. That is pretty much EXACTLY how I felt about it. A great RIS, but a little more fruity than I would personally like. Not quite in my top ten either.
