  1. Personally I like Gemini, and yes a LOT of people get through that ride, very high capacity and actually pretty popular.
  2. My next concert will be Warped Tour on the 30th, crowd surfing here I come! Also I have 2 comments ^JEALOUS!!! ^^I'm absolutely dying to see a concert at that venue, its just incredible.
  3. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure I have. Have you ridden more then 5 SLC's?
  4. ^^ Your post reminded me to check the blog...and it has begun http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/2010/7/11/That_Poll....cfm Heres a link to the poll in question: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/poll/index.cfm
  5. Even though I'm still a little skeptical on a new woodie, I would LOVE an Intamin plug and play (who wouldn't?). But like I said, I'm still skeptical it's going to be a coaster at all.
  6. Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Kinzel say in the early press release that theres thrill rides other then roller coasters or something to that extent? I know he could easily be trying trying to throw everyone off (and I agree a mid august announcement does seem early) but still.
  7. ^It should be somewhere between a walk on and 4 hours for all rides . In all seriousness though its hard to tell, I would say pretty average (around an hour - an hour and a half for Millennium, so on).
  8. I may have to make a stop just to see this awesome ghetto-ness. Where was this?
  9. Like Maverickrocks said, anytime during the last week in August you will be able to do all of them many many times over three days, MANY times.
  10. ^^^^I guess living in Michigan has some advantages. Around me theres someone (who I'm assuming works for Chevy) who I've seen driving around a Volt at least 3 or 4 times now. Its actually a fairly good looking car when I've seen it, and I would consider buying one in the future.
  11. I went to the park yesterday with a friend, and finally got to ride STR. I will say its a fun ride, and its a decent replacement for WWL (I agree it is a little better). However I wasn't blown away, its nothing too fantastic. Also you really dont get that wet on it, I would've been dry pretty quickly after I got off...but my friend wanted to do Thunder Canyon and Snake River Falls...so I wasn't dry at all. But, STR I believe is a good addition, just don't think its the latest and greatest water ride.
  12. ^I HIGHLY doubt that, but I wouldn't mind having them there. My least favorite part of that ride is my neck hitting the restraints on the turns, otherwise I love it.
  13. I would also recommend Hotel Breakers, its not the nicest hotel ever but its fairly nice, and extremely close (as in literally cannot get any closer). I've never actually stayed in Castaway Bay but I have been to the waterpark and it is a lot of fun, and the hotel did look very new when I was there, however its on the other side of the causeway and you would have to drive and park every morning. As far as convenience, Hotel Breakers is better. Also early August, it most likely will be pretty busy, so use the hotel ERT to your advantage (its already been talked about many times in this thread). If you're going to be there on a weekend its going to be PACKED, but during the week I would guess moderately busy at most. If you want all the credits, and you dont want to feel overly stressed doing it, you'll probably need at least 2 days there. But the Hotel ERT does help a lot Hope that helps!
  14. Last night I went to the Bamboozle Road Show at DTE (coughcough...Pine Knob) and it was pretty awesome! They had two stages set up, one smaller one for lesser known bands that we didn't stay at very long, and the other was the main pavilion stage. First band on the main stage was Forever the Sickest Kids, and even though I didn't know any of their songs, they did do a great job. Next up was Good Charlotte. They were really fun live and brought back tons of memories from when I used to listen to them in middle school. After them was Third Eye Blind, and while the lead singer was slightly insane, they were still good. Next was LMFAO, which was just a giant party, and all around awesomely fun. Then Boys Like Girls was up, and while I was REALLY excited to see them live for the first time, they slightly disappointed me. Martin's vocals seemed kinda weak live and their performance was a little bland. That said, I've seen much, MUCH worse bands live. And finally my favorite, All Time Low closed out the night. I've ranted about my love of ATL in this thread before so I'll keep it short. They know how to put on a fantastic show, and they really do sound incredible live. They are easily one of my favorite bands.
  15. ^Sorry I dont get what you're saying, do you mean the front half of the train faces backwards? Cause I'm pretty sure it doesn't...unless its changed since May.
  16. ^^I agree, the back two rows on Wicked Twister are definitely the best seats on that ride. Its just too cool going up the back spike and seeing the entire train twisted in front of you.
  17. ^^ I keep reading around 40% chance of rain all day. In my mind thats almost perfect, cause with that threat a lot of people are gonna stay home. ^He has some pretty good tips in there also. And if you happen to see me say hi! I unfortunately dont have a TPR shirt (just a sweatshirt and idk that I'll be wearing it all day) but I'll be wearing a Yellow "Team RUSH" shirt and walking around with a blonde.
  18. Since this is my first time asking (or I just dont remember requesting "I own the site http://www.donkey.com")... Oh all powerful Title Fairy, Will you please change mine to "Actually prefers Disney" Please and thank you
  19. Just a side note, I will be at the park Monday the 14th with a friend (who happens to be a TPR lurker). I was hoping STR would be open by then but oh well, I'll try to get some pictures and see whats up. If anyone has anything they would like me to check out just let me know
  20. ^^Two of my friends have it and I've gotten to use it quite a bit (and the droid's keyboards are very similar). I switched from a Storm to the Droid and i did LOVE the suretype keyboard, but I did get used to the two on screen keyboards pretty quick. When turned sideways the buttons are pretty big and its really pretty easy to type on. When vertical the buttons are pretty small but the phone does a fantastic job at guessing what you're trying to say. Overall I could use it pretty efficiently within two or so days.
  21. Glad this thread got bumped, just recently got a new phone and here it is: The droid! I really do like it, just took me a while to get used to the keyboard.
  22. I'll join in. I will be graduating June 7th from Clarkston High School in Clarkston Michigan. College: Purdue University in Indiana, specifically College of Technology Major: Mechanical Engineering Technology Summer Plans: Not really any! Maybe get a job if one turns up and other then that just have fun with my friends for my last summer at home . Can't wait for college!
  23. Nice trip report! I was at the park last monday and had very VERY poor luck with the weather and rides. It was raining and cold all day and we never got on Maverick, Gemini, Raptor and of course Dragster (which was down for mechanical reasons). Glad to see you had better luck then me .
  24. ^haha my friend and I were VERY fortunate at that concert. During her set she came to lean out over the crowd and I ended up holding hands with her =P. As a gay man I was seriously considering switching teams for her. She's just all around amazing.
