  1. I had an absolute blast this year too. Big thanks for Dorney park and stepping up their organization levels too. It was an amazing time had by all. I also wants thank Dorney for giving us dedicated trains on all the coasters we rode yesterday. While its pretty easy to do that on steel force since it has 3 trains, talon and hydra only have two and that was a special touch to keep us on one train. Also the lunch provided to us was fantastic as well. Overall a great day! PS- the t-shirts given this year were awesome.
  2. You know, I never really thought about doing that. But that's a fantastic way for fundraising. ETA: Just wanted to say Robb I received my packet today in the mail! Can't wait to show off my swag
  3. Good luck this weekend! I think you'll be able to ride at least 1 of the three that will be potential roadblocks for you.
  4. From the pics on FB it looks like you're having a good time this weekend!
  5. I didn't pay last year with my Cedar Fair plat. pass. I told them I would but showed my season pass and they got in. I think it will depend on if this year they have people working the parking who actually know that there's an event going on in the park that day.
  6. I'm looking forward to hanging out with my friends *cough*Nick & Chris* cough, and hopefully other people as well. I had some great conversations with other people that day too. Can't wait to make new memories this year. I also hope we are fortunate enough to meet another family that has benefited from GKTW. While it sucks they had to go through whatever they went through, seeing them talk about what a fabulous time they had at GKTW village, was a special moment.
  7. Welcome back Big Mike! Congratulations on the weight loss! I know you can keep it up! Looks like you've got a busy schedule to keep this year.
  8. Personally I would try my best to make it at any time because there are ways to work around "working" during the week, like putting in extra hours before or after to make up the ones you miss. Realistically, this year, I'm not sure I'm attending anything amusement park related. But if I had a job and money, I would bend over backwards to attend an event.
  9. If anyone wants to kidnap me and take me to Branson, I seriously won't object or anything of the sort. Robb and Chad thanks for the pictures, video etc. media day looked amazing.
  10. Kerry, I know last year we just copied and pasted from the stories Kara posted. So to get started you might want to do that.
  11. My inner geek is super excited. While I don't know lots of technical details about the space program and shuttles, etc. I've always had some super appreciation for them. What an awesome experience for you Robb! Whenever I get to Florida next I think the visitor center is a must go to.
  12. As much as I'm proud to be doing this, did people ever stop to think that maybe just maybe they have so many TPR friends they can't possibly pick and choose who to donate to? Daily on facebook, I see 5 or 6 people posting. If I have to guess casual people are going to be hiding those updates from friends because they are overwhelmed with seeing it every day. (just my $0.02) Also remember it's only March. The event is months away. Last year, I saw my totals rise lots in the last 2-3 weeks before the event. Right now people don't see it as a tangible event. When most people don't even know what they are doing day to day. An event that's in 4 months, isn't on their radar yet. Don't worry, the donations will come in, it just doesn't happen in the now, now, now mentality that everyone is so accustomed to. Patience and perseverance pays off.
  13. ^JoJo, you are fighting with your bare hands, but you can have backup in case things get risky.
