Merry Christmas From Theme Park Review!
emily>piers replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I got a new telly and I even managed to set it all up by myself this afternoon (this is a big achievement for a blondie like myself!) Piers and my Dad fixed Piers' old Wii for me which was really unexpected and a really nice surprise. My Godsons got me all the Jaws films - shark shark shark shark shark I also got some cash, chocs, nail varnish, the usuals. A great Christmas! -

You told me to watch the videos - so I did! Looks like you're having a fab time! E xxx -
Ummmm, I'm a debt collector. Not the door-trapping type, although I did used to do that for a Local Authority in Scotland. It's largely housing related and has recently extended into credit control for our manufacturing services. I'm also at college one day a week learning to be an accounts technician but I bloody hate double entry.... book keeping!!

Most disturbing movie you've ever seen?
emily>piers replied to Sasquatch's topic in Random, Random, Random
I know this is lame but Paranormal Activity really messed me up! I saw it at the cinema with my sister and spent the last 5 minutes with my scarf wrapped around my head. I had to sleep with the tv on for about 3 weeks after! Also I had a nightmare about Charles Bronson, months after watching Bronson, although I wasn't bothered by it at the time, clearly something was triggered by that film. It's not even scary, the guys just a complete nutter. -

I upset my boss yesterday so I spent last night cooking Nigella Lawson's Malteser Cake and some rose scented cupcakes with rose icing! My boss thought he's upset me and he bought me in a maple pecan plait. So yeah, mostly I've been eating cake today. Emily 'TPR needs a 'you fat bloater' smiley K

Control I saw Control by Anton Corbijn yesterday. It's a biopic about Ian Curtis of Joy Division and is based on the book Touching from a Distance by his wife Deborah. It's shot in black and white and won a few awards when it was released back in 2007. Sam Riley, the guy playing Curtis, had him down to a t.

Robb's Fantastic 40th Birthday Cruise!
emily>piers replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Fab pics Robb and Elissa! Looks like you all had a wicked time! Robb, hope you had a fantastic birthday and you are looking amazing! E xxx -
I am absolutely terrified of snakes. They are evil. They are a head and a neck with no body and poisoned teeth. I can't look at them in books, I can't watch if they are on telly and have to get my feet off the floor in case there's one under the chair. I also get the fear when I go into the cellar that there will be one waiting under the stairs. And I always check the toilet bowl in case there's one in there too! I know it's irrational and I'm a loser but I get goosebumps and everything. I hate them.

emily>piers replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
It's -2 here, there was a small amount of snow on Wednesday which has melted and turned to ice - the moor is really bad, Plymouth not so much I want to build a snowman! -
I did really well this year, I had a flight to Scotland earlier this month to meet my nephew, some fabulous hair products loads of scarves, gloves, slippers, socks and a new dressing gown (my house is so cold even with the heaters on! My friends know me too well!!) Some pearl earrings Chocs A Kirriemuir gingerbread from my best friend in Scotland (I always buy one to bring back when I go up) And I bought myself a nice bottle of single malt! Hope you all enjoyed Christmas as much as I did! E xxx

I did it a couple of years ago in a gorge somewhere near Montpelier, France. It was about 30 foot high and I loved it It's quite popular here too as Piers and I live on the coast and is known locally as tombstoning. I've not given it a shot here but it's not something I'd rule out for next summer

How did you end up here???
emily>piers replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was dragged to Orlando by Piers for HHN '07 and was signed up to TPR by a certain Mr Alvey at the infamous TPR walking into the patio door pool party. I may or may not have been drunk when Robb signed me up and came up with my screen name to annoy PK (who was passed out drunk in his undercrackers on the bathroom floor at the time) -
On nom nom! Looks good and I love the pics. Did you hit up Cheesecake Factory for pudders?
