About the theming, don't know if it's been mentioned or if it's worth mentioning, but on a link a little while back, there's a photo called "13 Wraiths", I'm guessing the there are thirteen wraiths in total and they're really significant to the overall theme / story. I don't think they'll be as popular as disney characters.

^^ I haven't been keeping up with the construction, but if the track we've seen is near completion and there's nothing new there, then it's safe to say this unique element happens indoors or underground.

A lot of the country's pretty much on a standstill from snow. School's cancelled, and thats just with today's snow, this is all going to freeze pretty soon with stupidly low temperatures making everything truly treacherous. This isn't normally that bad from a student's point of view but, exams start in just over a week, so we might need to check any revision problems with teachers. It'll be okay as long as its not this bad on the exam days.

I just meant that Sonic isn't exactly a mature theme, considering that Spinball is leaning towards the more intense side of family coasters. Sonic does suit a spinning coaster well, maybe I just have a soft spot for Spinball Whizzer, simply because it was to do with a Who song.

I did speak too soon, "worst idea" was removing the Black Hole, but that's a fight for another day. I just don't know if Sonic suits it very well. Seeing Saw and everything at Thorpe, I know that Merlin is willing to go all out on theming when they want to.

Worst idea, characters are nice at Disney parks, but I never liked Beano being at Chessington, Woody the Woodpecker being at Port Aventura (If I remember correctly) and I don't like this. Even a bad original theme is better because Alton's always been doing its own thing (predominantly) and its always worked out great. It's not even like this is an expiring contract like licensing Imperial Leather on the log flume, they see this as an improvement, was there any need to change things? Maybe if it was a more mature theme they were implementing, I'd be more okay with it. Oh well, it's not that bad, it's not like they're spoiling Nemesis or anything.

Its about time for this thread ro flourish with people moaning about school again. After this christmas break I don't think my body even acknowledges 6:30AM anymore, so it'll be interesting to see how tomorrow works out.
