  1. ^ You are right, I didnt even think of that. The batwing is like a dive loop/immelmen combo.
  2. You better come back next year Guy! And your son better know how to play Dyer's Eve by Metallica on the drums by then.
  3. That drop looks NICE! Im assuming thats the finalle?
  4. Ohh I really want the King Kong hands!!!
  5. Its probably all about perspective.Since you approach the immelman from the bottom, and the track is above you, it has more of that feeling of flight. Also that suprise of not really knowing when you are going to be whipped up into the inversion. A dive loop on the other hand, as you approach it you will have a pretty good view of the rest of the element and track. Thats just my guess. Im sure they can make a dive loop work and it would be a cool feeling element, but it may ruin that sense of flight a little. Id like to see it done though.
  6. I never had a black out, but I had a 'grey' out. It was on the last row of B:TR at SFoG.
  7. I dont have a personal site, but here is my bands: http://www.myspace.com/holotype
  8. The Skycoaster in Oldtown and any of the rides on the Stratosphere make me pretty nervous. So does skydiving, if you can even count that as a 'ride' (Im sure some would).
  9. Hmm. Maybe this could be the next PhotoChop contest.. Different uses for a B&M restraint! Maybe it could be used as some kind of fancy toilet seat?
  10. Ive heard of Sister Hazel. Ive seen them play at Rollins College I believe. Not typically what I would listen to, but still a pretty good band! I thought Id note this. For those of you who do not like screaming, check out Matchless and Unhealing. Those songs have singing through the majority of the song. Also , all the clips highlight the singing portions of our songs. -Imhotep
  11. awesome, got to set the DVR. Do they show anything like track fabrication? I would love to see a special where they show exactly whats involved in steel track fabrication, like translating the computer model to the actual track peices, welding them up, etc.
  12. Awesome, Ive always been curious about the WG coaster since I saw pictures of it in one of your TRs, and Ive been meaning to ride the DBH. Ive heard nothing but great things about it. Now this can be my inspiration to drive down there!
  13. um, Im all about the 'peach', not a fan of the 'banana' if you catch my drift.
  14. Awesome, I appriciate the help! PM me the address. Have you ever heard of an online radio station called Chronix radio? We are played on there quite a bit. Its a great station that plays a good amount of unsigned artists.
  15. yessir.. you wished me luck personally! hope all is well with you, havent seen you around for a while.
  16. Thank you! Guitar and piano? Thats pretty cool.
  17. I knew I should have worn my Bullet Bill shirt on Thurs.... Man that food looks good!! /jealous -Imhotep
  18. I thought I would tell you guys about one of my other interests. Im in a band called Holotype based out of Orlando, FL. We are still local, but we are working very hard to change that. I have alot of fun doing this, and hope this will one day become my carrer. Our music is more on the aggressive side, with melodic hooks and overtones throughout. Vocally, we have screaming as well as singing. We have played alot of different places from Orlando (including HOB and HRL) to Miami, and we will be playing Jacksonville next month. Next year, we hope to take a 'Mini Tour' up through Virginia and back. If you are interested in hearing some of our songs, We have a player on our site, http://www.holotypemusic.com in the media section (or click the link in the banner to launch). There are 5 full length songs and 4 song clips for you to check out. Feedback is greatly appriciated, plus Id be interested to know how many people on the boards are into this type of music. If anyone else here is in a local band, I would be interested in checking out your band as well! -I \m/. hotep .\m/
  19. I know, right? The weather hasnt been to bad at all in the Orlando area. Its been a little windy, but the worst of the rain stopped early this morning. Id like to see this 'destruction' first hand.
  20. I find that hard to believe, but I would LOVE to be wrong!
  21. Did they say exactly what damage was sustained?
  22. Man, I really hope the park reopens for you sometime today. Wilma hopefully wont ruin your plans too much! Keeping fingers crossed, -Imhotep
  23. The weather here in central florida is not bad. It rained bad throughout the night, but so far today its been no worse than your average FL rainstorm. Ive ridden Dueling Dragons in worse weather! As Elissa said, its closed due to precautionary measures. The hurricane is already pretty much done with FL, so the park will definately be open tomorrow, if not later on today.
  24. Great pics!! Glad to see everyone got to ride Sheikra afterall. Looking forward to the rest of your pics!
