Alton Towers Discussion Thread
Chrissie replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Haha, Yeah I agree. Even if this a serious move, they can't take your stuff away from you if you don't want to. You'd be pretty annoyed if there was an emergency and you missed it because of some silly park rule. There is no way of really enforcing it. -
Hahaha! Thats sooo cool!! Happy Birthday!!

TPR Members Working At Parks

^ Yeah, I agree. I definitely agree that it was the right thing to do. I would do the same thing! If you know your not going to be happy then I don't see the point. I think it all depends on what you want to do. I really wanted to work for Disney and even though I did not get my first choice of job (5th in fact!) I still went for it because I wanted the whole experience, not just job experience. Tyler wanted job experience and he didn't get that, so I say good on him! Unfortunately, due to job issues, I can't go back to WDW this Summer I hope to get back after I graduate. -
Is it wrong that I really like Piers Morgan??

^ I hope that is a quote from somewhere!! Only one more exam to go......

Yay, Your TR just made me very excited for my impending Blackpool adventure in a few weeks! I'm a bit worried about the Blackpool nightlife however, I will be with a native but I've heard some dodgy things about it... What did you guys think? Congratulations to Steve for winning an XBox - quite an achievement!

^ Haha,Yeah Thats totally gonna happen! Along with those planes that conveniently remind everyone that Jesus loves you, the Orlando sky is gonna look pretty random....

Too many complaints about Disney?
Chrissie replied to jackskellington101's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I guess Im kind of in a midway position. I am a huge huge huge Disney enthusiast. I love it, always have and probably always will. I always keep up to date with the Disney updates, rumours and gossip. But, I'm also one of those people who gets to visit Disney once every 4/5 years. So when I'm there I don't really get the chance to critisise or pay attention to every single detail. Of course if I recieve crappy service or someone skips me in the Queue, I will complain but I've never ever really noticed the quality go drastically down hill or change. Even when I was working there in 06' and was living and breathing Disney for 3 months, I never really started to 'nit-pick'. I think this is because Disney isn't something I experience often The more you do/see/experience something the novelty wears off, its easy to see more of the negative aspects. Which I guess what happens when you are an enthusiast who visits Disney reguarly and begins to become more involved in the company with regards to its operations etc. The average family at Walt Disney World is there for the "out of this world experience" and I think all of the Disney attractions do proivide that. I do agree that the sound complaint on mania is a big deal, but perhaps the quote was taken out of context. The ride has just opened, maybe they are testing the best ways to operate it? -
^ Yeah I agree! But I can see why people are unimpressed because they did hype it up to be alot better than what it is. I think that it looks fun and is kind of a "Filler ride" by that I mean, something you ride inbetween your fastpast times or while waiting for your dinner reservations. Saying that though, I do think it will have huge appeal for families as its something they can ride together and probably have some good banter with! I reckon they have done it this way is so they can update it easily, isn't there going to be a Toy Story 3? and with that there will probably be new characters/new relationships, so I suppose its a way to get them in there and then the ride doesn't seem dated.
