  1. Most funny and off to a great start!
  2. ^ I wanted to hate it, but you're right, it is pretty cool. Got a couple pics of those things you mentioned.
  3. Got back from Nashville earlier this afternoon and can confirm something is happening at Grizzly River Rampage. Pics to follow once I get everything sorted. Took about 300 pics (Opry Remnents, Hotel, and Mall). Have some small video clips too.
  4. Up to now, I thought it was some wierd alternative to iTunes podcast subscriptions. Thanks to packfanlv, I'm better informed and learned something new today. Sounds like if you can't get to TPR for a while, RSS could be helpful, for front page news. Like the others have said, RSS may not be practical for the majority of forum topics. Maybe it could apply to special events/group trips? This sounds like a maybe at best for usefulness on TPR.
  5. ETapley0687, Hey, no worries. Gladly catch you another time. Shane, thanks for the leeway in posting here, though I should have asked BEFORE just throwing in links. It's a respect thing, and I missed.
  6. Wow! That came out of nowhere and was funny as hell! I've lived alone in this 1 bedroom apartment since March 2001. Doesn't seem like it's been so long.
  7. Kavu Wally wallet for $12. I needed a new one after my leather wallet got dowsed on Roman Rapids and by Griffon last summer. It's just never been the same. Got a nice Chaco belt recently too.
  8. Planning on 9 or 10 am sunday. The Mall opens at 11 so I may hit that for a break and possible go over to the hotel for a bit. Short answer, I'll be around that area until about 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
  9. Man that looked like a great trip all around and everybody had a good time. Enjoyed the Avalanche and Congo pics. Also good to see what's become of the old Drachen Fire station. Wasn't able to ride the train last year, so I missed out. Are SFoG and SFGAdv trying to save cost by not running the rapids until later in the summer? Granted, the weather's been dodgy, but I thought those would be running by now. More importantly, some great coaster shots at Great Adventure. Cool to see this. Thanks!
  10. ETapley0687, what time do you think you'll be there? I missed out today and am trying again tomorrow. Yeah...it helps to set your alarm to get up....
  11. Ask, and you shall receive. Here's my PTR from March 2007. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37776&highlight=opryland You can see 1 of 3 videos from the trip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdKkGCzDrjE I first heard the original demo rumor in Feb 2007, and meant to get back there a few times well before now. In short, the original plaze is still there as a tribute, and Grizzly's ride channel was turned into a little park area, but it's been crumbling since 1997. The corner rock still looks good, but the rest looks pretty rough. Surprised they didn't start demo sooner. No clue what I'm in for tomorrow, but will post a PTR and get video. Is it cool to post the PTR here vs. starting a new thread? You have a great foundation started on the topic, and I'd love to contribute. Thanks and Best, Michael
  12. Got word this week that demolition has started or will shortly on what's left of Grizzly River Rampage. I'm headed up there tomorrow (sat, may 2) to get some last minute pics and vids before it's all gone. Will probably be there at Grizzly at 9 am. I'm wearing a green shirt, green Aussie hat (just like Guy T Koepp's), and a grey hip pack if anyone wants to meet up. Shane, my appologies on this this rude threadjack. No offense intended and thank you all of the outstanding Opryland pics and vids of late.
  13. Wow! Ghostwood Estate looks great! Thanks for posting this.
  14. Breathtaking. Good looking area with Tatsu, Rev, and the falls.
  15. Ah, you taught me something new today. Was not aware of that. Maybe nixing the balconies was part of some refurbishing verses reacting to the jumper?
  16. ^ Thank you for that much needed laugh good sir.
  17. You know, this is a curious idea, especially after that guy got out of an egyptian jail by using Twitter. The story was on CNN.com. Back to point, I'm interested in how this test run works out and how the technology can be applied. Kudos for a grand experiment.
  18. Now that's dedication and taking care of your fans. Taking on the...uh....very....uh "unique" photo requests is above and beyond. You've a good heart man.
  19. ^ While very sad, it's not likely they'll remove balconies over this. Poor fellow.
  20. I just want to be at Lou and Hector's wedding. The bar, onion rings, and oreos will be amazing. Think Steak 'n' Shake'll cater? Also yay on jugs and suds.
  21. Ditto on thread cataloging. It'd be most helpful to have a list of those to quickly refer too. That aside, I'm a happy camper.
  22. I've kinda wondered about this place. May check it out anyway next summer. Never been, so why not? Good or bad, nice to see more of this park and get a better idea.
  23. Having never been to Knott's, this was a really detailed way to see it. Enjoyed the train shots much and feel like I took a stroll around the park. Well done.
  24. Hey thanks, I appreciate that info.
