  1. I did that too the first time I visited the site!
  2. I was just reading a thread when I came across this signature. I read it as "Christian Coasters" and thought to myself, are there actually coaster enthusiast clubs that only ride Christian approved roller coasters? Then thought, what the heck makes a coaster Christian and if so, what would Jesus ride? I think I need my eyes checked. Or maybe I should just stop drinking.
  3. I had a Corona this evening.
  4. It's late. I can't sleep. My Dad has been in the hospital for a week and a half now with complications. Needless to say I am worried.
  5. I adore Waiting For Guffman. Actually I love all Christopher Guest movies. My other favs are: Lost In Translation Return Of The Jedi Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom Finding Nemo Monty Python and The Holy Grail
  6. Mine is the one I use for my blog. The face in the avatar is supposed to be a little caricature of me.
  7. No. Have you ever done an interpretive dance?
  8. Someone lent me "Because I Said So" which is a crappy movie with Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore. Stupid, stupid, stupid!!! I watched a few minutes and then wanted to eat my own eyes.
  9. For randomness, I like http://www.Robpongi.com Rob is a bit of ham, but has some interesting videos of Tokyo. Also, some of the "Japanese Women Looking For Foreign Friends" videos are quite amusing. http://www.rathergood.com is fun, if you like weird songs and videos Also, I became addicted to http://www.weirdemma.com's strange flash video saga. The bad animation is hysterical.
  10. Thanks for posting the photos. Wow, what a change from the past. When I was little my parents used to take me there in the 70s. They used to have a really neat playground close to where the waterpark is now. No rides though. Actually the old water park freaked the heck out of me when I was about 7 years old. My friend's Dad took us there for the day. I'd never been on a water slide before. It was the kind where you had to sit on a potato sack like mat to go down it. Did I mention I couldn't swim? Nope. Well anyway as I'm sliding down I hit the pool at the bottom. I went under. I remember flailing about trying to get to the surface. I swear to God, the life guard that pulled me out had a cigarette in his mouth. He was in the water, and was smoking while acting as a lifeguard. Craziness. Ah, the 70s.
  11. Yikes! Looks like Epcot's World Showcase threw up and no one bothered to clean it up. I wonder if there were any rides? I would be creeped out walking around that abandoned park by myself.
  12. Awesome update. Kudos to TPR for allowing me to procrastinate on work I should be doing.
  13. Big Thunder Mountain at The Magic Kingdom this past May.
  14. Hooray! Good riddance wand. Spaceship Earth looked ridiculous with the wand. Then again I'm an old fart, and still want Horizons and World Of Motion to come back.
  15. Holy Randomness. What's with the gaseous dinosaur (or whatever the heck that is) holding its genitals? ETA: Great update by the way. What a nice hotel. That pool really looks inviting. Gaseous dino
  16. Man I feel old. My first visit was in 1976. I was about 3 almost 4. I remember the Bicentennial Parade. Those massive heads on the parade characters were a bit scary. Also, my one key memory at that early age was riding the Jungle Cruise. The tiger with the glowing eyes absolutely fascinated me. Back then it was rare to see a lot of characters out and about the way they are now. There wasn't much to do in Frontierland. I remember BTTMR being build. I wish I had pictures of the mountain's skeleton. I've been going to WDW almost every year since then. Some of the changes the park has make are great, but I do lament some of the things they've removed or changed entirely.
  17. At first glance it reminded me of an hourglass, but now I kind of think it does look like a thermometer. What an unusual piece of architecture.
  18. Wow, The Sheraton Vistana Villages are a lot nicer than I thought they'd be. Looks like a beautiful resort. Would you stay there again? Thanks for posting the photos. My last trip to Orlando was at the end of May and I'm in Disney withdrawal.
  19. I'm just about to turn 35 and my first coaster was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at WDW. I rode it for the first time when I was about 9 years old from what I recall.
  20. Wow, Ramses and Bouncy Bouncy are totally mental.
  21. Thanks. Now I'm going to have nightmares about Creepy, Scary, Tree Guy.
  22. Thanks for the report. Hope you all are having a blast. Also, try not to break the rest of Spain.
  23. On an EMH at Epcot a couple of years ago, I decided to ride Universe Of Energy. Toward the end of ride (before the vehicles reach the unload area) it stopped. A cast member comes out and proceeds to tell us very dryly what happens during the final Jeopardy scene with Ellen. (I'd seen this a zillion times, so it was funny hearing his interpretation.) This was the first thing to make me crack up. Then when he realizes the ride isn't going anywhere he warns us of the "9 inch" drop when stepping out of the stopped vehicles. This, for some reason, put me in hysterics. Now I can understand warning if there were a two or three foot drop, but 9 inches? Lastly, a woman in the back row was laughing hysterically . She was laughing so hard the entire audience was cracking up. The whole vehicle was laughing and no one knew why. It was priceless!...I guess you had to be there. Also, whenever I have a my video camera out, I somehow have the knack of capturing people burping How's that for a first post?
