^Bubba was at work! :0) I took off Friday with some peeps from work. I would have been there with you guys... but I had a good friend get married that day! It seems I am going to miss seeing any TPR folks this year. My timing is just not right! :0) Maybe in 2009 or 2010 I might be able to afford to go on an actual TPR trip. I just hope getting my Bachelors (Grad August 2008) and a promotion will give me more income! :0)

Very interesting.... this is a very busy thread here lately! I am heading to Columbus for vaca June 13-22. I went to CP the first time last year... but this year I was wanting to take a trip to KI. I don't know if you guys are making me want to go to KI or back to CP for this trip coming up! LOL :0) From passing by... KI doesn't seem to "woo hoo!" just kinda meh!? So for my first trip... should I not expect busy days like at CP? Or would any day of the week be "good?" -
^ I don't know if I agree with you Mr. PUNISH BY DEATH! :0) I have to say Goliath was more fun riding IMO. Think how boring and slow SM: UF is.... I think Goliath is a million times better! I think with Goliath that was about the most fun I have ever had on a coaster. I was laughing so hard that I could barely breathe and tears were streaming out of my eyes! Now don't get me wrong. I really enjoyed TTD and MF and CP, but I think I was more in shock and fear than laughing and having a FUN time..... Who knows.. maybe next time I can actually have fun on those rides...

Great update! I couldn't imagine how exciting it would be to be the first to ride a coaster at a brand spankin' new park! I'm not too thrilled with the color of the restraints... after a few good days of sweaty nasty hands.... they will not be white any longer! :0) -
^Thanks! Most of my "update" is in all that mess up above my pics.... if you can call that INFO updates.... As far as the Thomas status... hmmm not horribly excited about this addition.... so no pics.... All I noticed was that Deja Vu was bye bye and some big "Go Army" tent or whatever.... And of course lots of military men in the park with their fatigues.... :0)

Hi Guys! I finally got to go to SFOG for my first park of the season! Woo Hoo! It was a great day as rain was forecasted, but didn't rain until after the park closed. I have more pics and a video that are with a friend at the moment, but I will post as soon as I get. Overall our trip was awesome! We had so much fun and only had one small experience of drama. The drama which gets on my nerves more than anything at a park would be line jumping.... A small "posse" of some gang-bangin girls and one boy(which I think was "family" which most of you gay-friendly individuals know what I mean!) Well the leader of the group... a very "tough" teenage girl made them all (about 8) line jump. No just to save a few minutes... but to save the whole wait time which was about an hour! I actually was happy to get them away from us as I felt we could have been mugged or gang-banged at any moment! LOL! I finally got to ride Goliath and I must say I was quite impressed. The height, speed, and ride placement made for an exciting ride. The air time was very nice and somewhat surprising and scary for someone holding up their hands the entire time! We rode on the front of course and after I quit screaming after the first drop (which was more thrilling than it looks from the ground) we laughed so hard that we were crying and slobbering all the way to the brakes! So you know our photos were ridicuously funny! The park seemed well kept and even the restrooms were pretty clean. The park employees were very nice and actually would have conversations with us while in line! Upon exit we were greeted with smiles and many "Thanks" from employees that I'm sure we normally do not see out in the park. Okay I will shut up and let the pics roll.... oh and again I will have a fun video and more pics later this week... so stay tuned! I will leave you (for the moment) with a very humorous pic! Thanks for viewing what I have so far! :0) More pics and a vid to come.... yet again... mucho crappyo!!! more bad pics... Not so good MB pics.... please forgive... or decide my punishment! :0) Ah yes the ever "wonderful" GC! I have to admit this one ride that day didn't give me a headache! Something had to have been smoothed out.... more peep pics! Do I look cool with my "cop" shades!? Well it really doesn't matter now since I am sad to say... those got broke in my pocket on the oh so "intense" SM:UF! Okay that is quite enough of the big "G." Look at that train go so smoothly into.... that "helix!" That just looks pornographic, I know right? Look ma, a train in the shot! :0) Sooooooo o o oo sexy! :0) Too many pics of the 1st drop?! oooooh! Less train! This was my "oh crap" moment....ya know.. you have never ridden a specific coaster before and you just automatically hold up your hands... and then your like... OMG! Should I grab on to something!?!? A bit of a train! Awesome lift hill and 1st drop! Love those clouds! Me being silly! :0) Even MORE Sexy! I really like how the layout of Goliath goes outside the gates of the park. Very good advertisement! More sexy! Love all that B&M sexy! My peeps! I love this pic. We were on the stairs to board Monster Plantation which we never did get to ride. They shut the ride down for "testing." While waiting we got to see a ride op fall on her arse while trying to look cool riding on a boat on the top of the back of the seat! So here we go.... First pic..... is my Fav pic of Goliath!

Insufficient restraints on coasters
NINCUB replied to mattnz's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well as far as MB at SFOG it is extremely safe in my opinion. I have ridden it many many times. This type of loop and forces keep you in your seat. I really couldn't imagine the train getting "stuck" in the loop. Even if something failed on the train itself, I think the train would come outta the loop with the help of our friend/enemy gravity. -
Yes trading a parade for a coaster should make many coaster lovers happy! BUT then again it was a family style coaster so it shouldn't be too big of a pill to swallow. I think SFOG should get the coaster as they are looking shabby on the number of "good" coasters. Also a good family coaster that is a little more thrilling than Canyon and Mine would be a great addition. Actually Mine Train is too rough for me let alone a small child. I finally got to ride Goliath last weekend and it was actually really good. I laughed till I cried and then drooled. I can't believe it has been there 2 years and I just now got to ride it! I'm sorry was that a bit off topic?!

Great TR! Oh this brings back memories when I practically lived in Orlando in 2004! I took off like half a summer from work and went on a fun-filled sebbaticle with a psycho bf (thankfully ex-psycho bf)! We were actually looking to relocate there. I rode Hulk so many times... OMG! Some days we went it was soo busy and then other days not too bad. I loved DD.... to me it is extremely scary and fun at the same time. Front row is completely terrifying as it appears you are going to hit the other train head on or with your feet! (I would squeal just a little each time) :0) Oh and BTW your room window faced where we stayed most of our time in Orlando, Crowne Royal Hotel which is awesome. We got a room for like 69 bucks a night through Hotwire.com. We would find a good rate and move to another Hotel.... kinda fun.... kinda sad.... long crappy story with rollercoasters! Anyway great TR! :0) -
Mindbender is classic and always awesome. It was my first looping coaster. I was terrified and had to ride alone! :0( After I rode it for the first time I was in shock and have been hooked with roller coasters ever since! That horizontal loop has the most amazing force(s). I have almost busted my lip or nose trying to keep my hands up all the way through. I think one of the most scary/fun aspects is that there are no OTSRs.... Could someone please build these coasters again? I mean think of a 200ft 80-90mph mindbender?! How scary would that be?

What's wrong with Mean Streak?
NINCUB replied to dammie16@vt.edu's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well I have ridden Mean Streak one time on my first visit to CP last summer. I thought it was a pretty fun ride. I am used to very rough woodies like GASM and GC at SFOG. Those two woodies are so painful that I haven't ridden them probably the last 20 trips to SFOG. Where there is speed, air, and fun... there is way too much jarring and body beating. With Mean Streak it was more enjoyable to me as I didn't have a headache or a potential bruise when I got off of the ride. The views of lake erie were awesome and I felt the ride had decent speed.... the ride was petty long, longer than I expected. Maybe it is just my lack of experience, but Mean Streak was more enjoyable that I thought it would be. -

Very interesting TR of KI. I may be going to KI for the first time this June. I don't know if you got me excited or kinda "meh" about going! LOL... I'm still debating on passing KI up for my 2nd trip to CP! Regardless it's cool to go to a park to hear the screams, the laughter, and seeing the smiling faces. Of course it is always good to have some thrills as well. -
Speedway Draft actually looks kinda fun, but 6 bucks? LOL.... They should let you go around a few times? right? :0) You haven't been to Lake Winnie have you Mike? It is practically 2 mins down the rode from our house. I wished they would do something good and actually get some more thrilling rides. They could so boost attendance with a bigger and better roller coaster. Anyway.... hope to catch you the next time your in TN! Maybe you can catch me if I ever get to come up to have a Nathan's hotdog! Look forward to your Dollywood and SFOG pics!

Great TR. I would have loved to come meet everyone on Sat as this would have been the closest park to me that a bunch of TPRers went to visit. Oh well.... maybe next time! :0)

I can't believe Sir Gooney's kiddie rides are only open Saturdays. That is crazy! Your luck didn't get much better at Zuma either! Dollywood seemed like a great day to visit. Oh BTW.... I think Bubba liked the cap. LOL.... :0)
