  1. because 9 times a cats life in human years equals one human lifetime. why is the sky blue?
  2. but it wasn't a very big cliff, so he was uninjured. Then he realised he must find a group where he could meet others of his own kind...
  3. May is definitely a good month (especially weekdays) to go to Cedar Point though the weather may be a bit variable and it is wise to check on the Cedar Point website when there are events are on like School Physics days as they may be more crowded on those days. The resorts section on the Cedar Point website has a Coupons section which usually has a discount for Hotel Breakers for may/early june and late season as well. The cheapest rooms (2 only people rooms) at hotel breakers are $60 a night but I would recomend getting in early to get those. I scored one of those rooms for my visit at the end of August this year and I will get an additional $20 a night off that price as well with a coupon. I don't know if there are ACE discounts on admission tickets but for three days the best option would probably be a season pass. I will probably go to La Ronde when I am Canada this year but I have no idea what it will be like.
  4. I always liked Shakira, because the singer is incredibly hot - so it is a nice association.
  5. Wild Mouse at Luna Park Sydney, my first coaster in Australia in over 3 years. Not worth posting a photo.
  6. It will always be Shakira to me.
  7. sponge bob on big brother uncut (yes it's full frontal nudity, male and female in oz) - spongebob nopants was just too obvious who is the greatest coaster enthusiast?
  8. David Hasslehoff would find out and kick your a**. Why is Australia downunder?
  9. Well touch me in the morning and then just walk away, what dose crazy Wayans up to now. Hey mon, homie da clown 4D is gonna put a cap in Spidey's a**.
  10. I don't think CP will need to blow up KK, I think KK is doing a good job self destructing. The evil geniuses at Intamin must be in league with Cedar Fair in a plot to bring down Six Flags - I don't why though, Six Flags seem to be doing a perfectly good job bringing themselves down. Maybe they'll get KK on the cheap and make it a duelling coaster with TTD. To Coasterlicious - I am going to Niagara in Sept so I was going to check Marineland out, Dragon Mountain looks like an alright terrain coaster.
  11. The Marineland (at Niagara) website has their Dragon Mountain coaster as the biggest in the world, maybe that would be true if Canada was the world.
  12. I was in Orlando last year around the same time and weekdays were pretty quiet at IOA, all rides were a walk on. Universal had slightly longer lines but nothing substantial except Men in Black (you can bypass the line by using the single rider line which I strongly recommend as it turns the ride into a walk on). So I would say you wouldn't need express priveleges. With Busch Gardens, they have a shuttle that goes there and back for ten bucks if I remember correctly, the details are on the BGT website - this should be less expense and stress than a hire car.
  13. Go to sites like this and dream of my next vacation, which I have already organised 3 months in advance.
  14. Sounds great - wish I had gone myself, love to go to some of those smaller parks and ride some great woodies. Will be checking out what ride world are doing next year. Tell Ed from Australia - Saints over Warriors 32-18, Barrett at Half and Anasta at 5/8 for Origin 2 (this will mean nothing to anyone outside Australia).
  15. I meant either of the Mr Freeze coasters SFOT or St Louis (which I am assuming are largely identical) look like something that would make my top ten. I've only seen pictures of them and I think they look impressive. Might stopover in Dallas next time I am on my way to Orlando, and check out SFOT.
  16. I reallly liked the Duelling Dragons line, there were people in there who were seriously lost - I think some of the bones in there are real, English tourists who couldn't find their way out. For most pitiful I would have to say third grade paper mache' project also known as Disaster Transport.
  17. Steel: Top Thrill Dragster (one trick pony but it's an impressive trick) Wood: Ghostrider (Shivering Timbers would probably be here if I had been on it) Waterslide: I think it's called Black Hole at Wet n Wild Orlando, its two person raft in complete darkness - haven't been on too many slides, too busy doing rides. Food: nothing really stands out except Mythos at IOA. Fun: I always have a ball at Cedar Point Park: Cedar Point (IOA would rate second), other than these two no other park has really blew me away - I'm not really into Disney like thrills more.
  18. I think there has been topics like this before but here goes anyway: 1. Top Thrill Dragster 2. Millenium Force 3. Superman Ride of Steel (SFNE) 4. X 5. Magnum XL-200 6. Nitro 7. Raptor 8. Storm Runner 9. Ghostrider 10. Hulk Some coasters I think might make my top ten if I got a chance to ride them: Steel Dragon 2000 (not likely anyone will ride this again?), Phantom's Revenge, Montu, Kingda Ka, Shakira, Alpengeist, other Rides of Steel, Mr Freeze (either), Shivering Timbers, Boulder Dash, Hades, Thunderhead.
  19. I don't know if it is still there but Wet N Wild in Orlando had those really high steep speed slides and on one side you got in a chamber and it had a trapdoor rather than just sitting on the edge and going over. That was quite nerve racking but at least I didn't have to line up because not many were game.
  20. I was there when Hurricane Ivan was on, got out of Panama City just before it hit - when the camping ground you're staying at starts boarding up the shop windows, it's time to hit the road. Went all the way to St Augustine to get out of Ivan's way, luckily the coast was clear to head to Orlando after that - only had a day and a half so I hit IOA (walk ons for everything), Sea World and Universal (and Old Town - we were staying next door).
  21. On my bus trip from Sandusky-Cleveland-New York last year, a whole bunch of Amish people got on at Cleveland, and I wound up sitting next to a priest. I should have pretended I was Harrison Ford in Witness and puched out anyone hassling the Amish people.
  22. Great video - next best thing to riding it, really gave me a great view of what the ride is like, especially the POV footage. Thanks heaps for going to the effort of filming and sharing it with us.
  23. Also avoid the bathroom in the bus if you can, I was on greyhound from NYC to Springfield to go to SFNE, and all the stuff in the septic tank under the toilet was kinda just sloshing around as the bus rocked, it was gross. In the final episode of Buffy after they have destroyed the hellmouth, Giles says there is another hellmoputh in Cleveland, I know where it is - Cleveland Greyhound Station. Just kidding, just caution and commonsense and you shouldn't have a problem.
  24. I have been to Disneyland twice, last time 2001 (also went to DCR), I have been to the US twice since then but have not been to Disney as I had limited time. I am more a thrill ride fan but I can appreciate the theming and adventure of Disney's rides. I am deciding whether to go this year if I come to the US as I don't want blow too much of my leave. Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion and California Screaming are the standouts for me. I have been to Disneyworld twice last time 1994 (all 3 parks at the time). I was in Orlando last year but I only had a day and a half so I did IOA, USF, and Sea World none of which I have been to before. I would have gone if I had time to check out mainly Mission Space, Test Track, and Rock n Roller Coaster. Of rides I have been on Space Mountain and Tower of Terror were the standouts.
  25. I'm surprised you can even remember trailblazer it was that average. I went on it once for the credit and forgot it immediately.
