Theme Park Review Podcast
BarryH replied to devol4's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is a good idea, but I thought R&E were busy enough! Maybe we can have other people do the TPR podcast. -
Happy belated birthday, Elissa!
-
So Robb and Elissa what is your favorite roller coaster?
BarryH replied to RobtheSquirrel's topic in Ask Alvey
I think their favorite is Expedition GeForce, but then again, I'm not R&E. -

^Maybe we can call the Food Network? -
I'd say go for the nicer park and visit BGE. However, if you want more credits, lots of rides, and a bunch of trash cans, KD is your choice. But I'd rather visit BGE. Don't forget to eat the ribs at New France!

Parque Zaragoza - New TPR Video
BarryH replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great video! Why does Robb always play with his food? If Robb pointed that shrimp at me, I'd probably bite off its head! -
which theme park best accommodates foreigners?
BarryH replied to csikoth's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd say the resorts of Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. -
Jaws' fire effect may be turned off if winds are too high.

Only if your name is Jeff Johnson. -
I can't remember the name of the place, but I ate at a sit-down restaurant that served really good meatloaf.

So does this mean Universal's "Law and Order: The Ride" is just around the corner? -
^The Title Fairy is the Title Fairy. There is no guy/girl in the suit. There is no other.
-
The "Tit" Fairy must have been good to Dolly Parton. So I now know why Robb has man boobs.

I'll be visiting in June, so I guess I will have to put on my leopard-print thong.

The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
BarryH replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^You heard it here first...the big news is... Diablo Cody will write "Juno" into the parks' major shows. "Believe in Juno" "The Bird Show at Busch Gardens starring Juno" "The Curse of DarJuno: The Ride" "The Juno Roller Coaster" There will be more... -
^^Nah, if it was "XII," guests would say "Hey, let's ride 'Ex-eye-eye!'"
-
Congratulations, Ms. Cody! As a side note, I read your NKOTB article in EW a few weeks ago. It was great. As I read it, the song "The Right Stuff" played in my head over and over again, and it's still stuck! Will there be a "Juno 2: The Quest for More Money?"
-
^Unless you really need the credits, I would skip Fuji-Q. It's not worth standing in line all day to get 3-4 credits. It's best to invest the $ in an extra day at Disney or even go to Universal Studios Japan.

I saw an ex-coworker on "Dateline" tonight!
BarryH replied to BarryH's topic in Random, Random, Random
^No, we never suspected him of these perverted things! I don't suspect other co-workers of this, but I'm not about to do a witch hunt. -
I hope guests don't call "X2" the wrong name of "Achoo!" But you know, stupid park guests will probably call it "X Squared."

If you can squeeze in Disneyland, then do it! IMHO, Knott's can be done in 1/2 day if you go on a weekday. So if you have a few hours to spare after you flight comes in, go to Knott's. I did Knott's in 3 hours on a weekday, but I had all the credits and was really interested in riding Sierra Sidewinder and Xcelerator. I hear Knott's chicken is delicious, but I haven't personally tried it. There's always a line to get into that restaurant!

For those of you who are interested, here's a video of the sleazebag himself! I heard he was sent to the "Pound Me In the Ass" Prison and had to register as a sex offender. Justice has been served! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlZnVTCfHHM -
August is a busy time for the Orlando theme parks, although the end of the month is less busy than the beginning. If you really want to go at a good time, try October. The day crowds tend to be moderate, but you also have the various Halloween events going on at night.
