  1. But that one comes to a stand-still and tilts then drops.... as opposed to a chain lift into a drop where the back car would have a lot of speed going into the drop.
  2. Out of interest how is this doing on different countries charts, it seemed to be creeping up to the high 20s when I last had the chance to check but I think the chart my iphone shows is only UK.
  3. Just saw on TPR home page the tweet from No Limits about the POV, I know parks don't normally do it but i'd love it if they released that track pack. Pretty please if they read this
  4. I'm pretty sure Tobu Zoo had this policy for their water-park when I was there.
  5. That yahoo article seems a bit misleading into what it is implying, it quotes mypaper as it's source and makes it seem like everything about battlestar will be torn down but the second i loaded up the mypaper news it gave this as the first caption: Until the park 100% confirms something take it as rumours but here's the full article: http://mypaper.sg/top-stories/battlestar-galactica-may-have-heard-its-last-whoop-20140402 Makes it sound more like a retheme of the current roller-coasters with maybe a few modifications or track/train changes to fix the problems than a complete tear-down like that yahoo article seems to suggest, I think a re-theme would probably be good to give it a fresh start as a new theme after all the closures and incidents reported. As myself in my Tr and a few others have said this roller-coaster always seemed quite empty even when other rides had pretty long lines. Also lines up with dejiki's last TR (http://dejiki.com/2014/03/uss-update-2014mar/) but again until the park confirms anything 100% take it all as just rumors for now. I'd love to see a alliance/browncoats theme with Firefly to keep it sci-fi but I think i'll be forever dreaming on that one
  6. Sure looks like a second train to me. Those pictures look quite old, where do they keep it when it isn't on the storage track? On Google Earth it shows an empty section of track where that train is sitting.
  7. Sorry I was so busy with wedding stuff I only just noticed and replied to your PM but here are all my pictures (thanks Larry for suggesting my TR so I was made aware of this topic ) i'm not sure how many I included in my original TR. Sorry about the grey sky, it was a day after heavy snow so conditions weren't ideal.
  8. In addition to the ones I posted above, if they would just add the honey mustard that I had in HKDL at Grizzly Gulch i'd be very happy, I was really sad that I never got to try the apple cinnamon flavor since I love cinnamon bread, when I saw a cart not on the map on my visit to Tkyo I really had hoped it would be apple-cinnamon but it turned out to be cranberry as the flavor they were trying out (it was OK to me but i'm not a fan of cranberries on their own) edit: Just realized it says only apple in the picture above mine, I wonder where I got the idea there was apple cinnamon popcorn from.....
  9. Here is the popcorn from my last trip, with also some handywork thrown in from the japanese cleaners during the snow and later melted snow of the weekend. I don't think i'd be able to work as a cleaner in Japan, the sweepers had far more talent with their mops, 2 minutes and rainwater than I can manage with an hour and a pencil.
  10. I'm hoping for something like that dynamic attractions video that was sadly deleted a few months ago. The one with the free-fall drop, launch and the pivoting track with the screen and finally the sideways sloping track at the end. Maybe themed around escaping a burning forest and tumbling over cliffs and sliding down hills etc.
  11. Which will flood in places it shouldn't, removed and replaced with a bunch of treadmills in the middle of canal to move the boat over where the drop/ lift back up used to be.
  12. I heard there's a secret arena in that little area where no-one goes where randomly picked visitors jelly-wrestle for exclusive Duffy merchandise that can only be obtained by becoming the ultimate champion of the day.
  13. If Chris Sawyer made a kickstarter to create an updated sequel to roller-coaster tycoon 2 (or heck even 3) just in the same style since he couldn't use the name i'd back it
  14. So the incredibles 2 and cars 3 is coming, A few years ago despite Toy Story 2 (which I really liked) I'd never have expected them to be a company that would churn out sequels almost as much as their original films (although out of all the movies I always thought The Incredibles was one of the ones that could tell more story), I always imagined them being more like Studio Ghibli and churning out one story and moving on unless they really really felt there was more story to tell, I liked Toy story 2 and 3 but didn't like cars 2 at all and Monsters University was fun but the first was much better and didn't seem like a story that really needed telling. But then I also felt Finding Nemo didn't really need more story told but we've got Finding Dory coming soon.
  15. I'm so glad my job and my impending marriage means i'm 1) a 30 minute drive from Everland (even if i'm the only person in the world who doesn't like the place right now) and more importantly 2) only a short flight away from Tokyo. Really will need to do another trip during a few weekdays when its not in-line with the rest of Korea and Japan's vacation time.
  16. If anything we are all the way back to Bullfrogs Theme Park, RCT1 had way more realism to it than this.
  17. The hotel in the older map definitely makes it look like a college party Although I don't like either map, that new one puts so much emphasis on the coasters I find myself barely noticing anything else in the park, it'd probably be different when I had it in my hands when it's bigger but my eyes only seem to find the coasters. It took me a while to spot samurai, the old one looked extremely chaotic but at least I was looking at everything and could see where it was.
  18. Since it's based on the movie carriages, i'm pretty sure both ways half the people seating will be going backwards since in the movie they have the seats facing each other.
  19. I think the problem was that was trying to be a game version of south park, whereas this is south parks version of a game if that makes sense. I'm not a fan of licensed games but I find a lot of the RPG stuff that is made fun of as you go cracking me up, i'm still early into the game but i'm finding it almost as an extended interactive episode dedicated to mocking game styles, i chucked quite a bit at the references to the fact its a standard mute rpg protagonist and yet people keep having conversations, that and the jab at all the games that use nazi zombies.
  20. I can't remember stormchaser apart from the gun looking a bit funnier on the video screen. It was fun but probably one of the most forgettable rides of disneysea (only because all the others are so awesome)
  21. Did you not read any of the emails or information? They were very clear the flat rides wouldn't have animation yet so I don't see how you can list it as a con already and call the game incomplete, they've been honest from the get-go that things from the trailers will be coming later. You complain that steam is filling up early access with incomplete games but isn't that the point of early access but it says right there in the description: If your that upset that right now it's a theme park hobby set why did you back it for the testing option, you could have just backed a lower tier and waited for the finished project since you just said you'd rather wait a year. For others though in case you missed it here is when to expect what in future phases.
  22. Those frakkin toasters, which reminds me I forgot to ask does anyone know if they still sell the "what the frak?" t-shirts even though the ride is closed? I got a red t-shirt with it on but I really wanted the black which wasn't in my size when I visited
  23. We felt the same way about the jungle cruise, we found the native language tours much more engaging and with a better atmosphere even though we didn't understand what was being said since the cast member was (understandably) more at ease. I'm surprised you found the taxis price outrageous though, obviously more expensive to the subways or buses, we found those taxis extremely reasonably priced compared to a lot of the other Asian countries we visited: Korea, Japan, Singapore (although it was 4am so my memories of that taxis cost are fuzzy) even our taxi driver was telling us there are so many taxis in Hong Kong compared to how many people need them. That and the cost was so worth it at night-time compared to the bus, we took it down and so far it's the only time i've ever been travel sick in my life. It was weird how that peak tram would have two hour lines at night to go to the peak but it would be less than a 10 minute wait during the day time. But then people do the same thing for the cable car in Korea at night even when there are buses pretty nearby despite the fact your packed into the cable car so tight there is almost 0 chance of being able to take a good picture.
  24. I did this ride last, it had been heavy snow and the park was completely empty to the point where everything but the coasters were walk-on (even Pooh) yet this still kept a one hour line until the end so it was definitely popular. However I ended up with the last car and had the same problem of that the first two cars had set off most of the effects so I ended up just sitting there with my camera taking pictures. It was a good ride and maybe i'd just been spoilt by all the awesomeness of Pooh and the stuff in Disneysea but I think I came away underwhelmed that they couldn't figure out a way for all 3 cars to really get to enjoy the ride. I would maybe re-ride it if I visit again but it's nowhere near the top of my list of rides i'd get flashpasses for on my next visit. I do wish they'd made it 4-seaters like pooh or back to back with seats either side, with 2 seater cars and the fastpass lane, the standby line really seemed to crawl although that may have been since monsters inc had a pretty lobby but as opposed to a lot of other rides there wasn't much to look at in the cattle pen line You can see the other torches from the other cars have already set off the effect by the time my car has come round. I did like this rooms effect of Randall being crushed though
