man, maybe it's just me, but I thought the air on the first drops of Apollo's and Raging Bull was much better than on Goliath (or Nitro) You sir are wrong. Ive been on Bull, Apollo, Goliath, and Nitro. I believe they dont all have the same first drop angles but IMHO I think bull has the most air in the first drop.raging bulls is 65 deg and nitro is 66(?) and nitros drop just felt slow and boring. now if its because of the pre drop or just the angle of decent im not sure.

Islands of Adventure's HydroAction Ski Show
splzero replied to thefitness's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I saw the show this past weekend. Its a lame excuse for a show. I'm sorry but its the worst water show I have ever seen. They jump over the jumps trying to make it out to be "insane". they did a helicopter and one did a backflip. They had fireworks which were more like roman candles. I'd give this show a 2 out of 5. -

Robb any clue if you could fit liseberg into europe trip? EGF + balder = selling a kidney -
they still have 2 train loading. The only thing i really dislike is they could have put a slope in for the station floor. you have to take a step up to get onto the metal platform to walk over the track in the station. i almost fell a few times walking onto the train. they put orange tape on to warn people later in the afternoon.

Orlando trip advice
splzero replied to M_Force_4_ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
October shouldnt be that busy. If you look at HHN website it will tell you the dates. Howl - o - Scream at bga is cool since all the coasters are open so not only can you do haunted houses but all the coasters. If you go just to ride the coasters and not look around and see shows you should be able to do all the parks. -
EL TORO vs. THE VOYAGE
splzero replied to imbordisux's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I will say even if i like voyage better that doesnt mean i think eltoro sucks. wooden coasters are going to have a hard time beating these two coasters. i rode el toro first and i loved the ride id never been on such a smooth and extreme airtimed coaster with some amazing twisties (most banked wooden ive been on was gwazi at the time). if both these coasters were at the same park id ride both about the same amound depending on if i was in a mood to get crazy airtime or insane beating. both are top knotch coasters and i wish florida would get an intamin, gg, or new gci woodie. -
EL TORO vs. THE VOYAGE
splzero replied to imbordisux's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
the MCB on voyage doesn't slow it down all that much since the elevation change is a lot higher. but Sat night the mcb was off and it was barreling through the last half. -
EL TORO vs. THE VOYAGE
splzero replied to imbordisux's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is where I disagree, but then again that's kind of what forums are for. --Robb Maybe in a few years el toro will get a little rougher but i think the 2nd half is ::yawn:: compaired to voyages twisties. I like forceful rides. if intamin could have a better layout I think I might like the Prefabs better. but I will say you can not beat el toro's first drop ::drool:: -
EL TORO vs. THE VOYAGE
splzero replied to imbordisux's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode El toro Last month and just rode Voyage this past weekend. I think Hands down el toros drops and airtime are better then voyage. but thats all that el toro has on Voyage. the banks of voyage i like better then the smooth as glass turns on el toro. Overall all i like Voyage better. its just got so much more then what el toro has. El toro is a 1 trick pony where voyage is an overall wooden coaster. It is a little intense after a few rides in a row you are stumbling around but isn't that what coasters are supposed to do to you? Woodies are supposed to feel like rickety not B&M smooth!!! -
