  1. Yay - looking forward to your report, Bert!
  2. ^ I was dying over that! Awesome report you two...hope to see more in the future!
  3. Hold up, wait a minute. That's not the right question here. What we really need to know is why are you using AOL mail?
  4. ^ Thanks...it's been a while since we had something to post in the 'Dumbest things said on TPR' thread.
  5. From the KI thread...
  6. White Strawberry Jellyfish! Also: And this: That is awesome that they had an empty exhibit with a caption to take a look at what is no more - very clever. Yes, I love Canada - as well as your trip reports!
  7. Would love a Huss giant frisbee or S&S Screamin' Swing for this park.
  8. Great report Jordy - thanks for checking this park out for us - Hyperion looks amazing! Looks like I will need to add a side trip to Poland when I finally get back to Germany. I really love and miss Europe - can't wait to go back.
  9. It definitely looks like I need to get back to Germany soon!
  10. Fly down to Texas and go to SFoT with me and Nick on Labor Day weekend? I'd love to have someone to ride the coasters with. .and make it worth getting a FlashPass hell. . if you don't mind a long car trip, fly into Austin and drive to Dallas with us! As much as I would love to, Bert - I have plans that weekend and then Michael's Celebration Of Life is the following weekend in Massachusetts. But you know that Texas is on my radar, so perhaps next year a trip is in order to meet you and Nick and hit up some of those awesome looking parks in Texas!
  11. That is really cool...CP ride op's are the best.
  12. Love the Intamin drop towers...although with tilting seats, there could be a likelihood that I could piss my pants out of sheer terror.
  13. ^ I like that song too.
  14. The new Oh Sees - holy rip my face off.
  15. Aw, understood. I had a life-low breakup a few years ago (still not on the same level as your loss, no doubt) a few weeks before what was supposed to be a highlight of the summer: a booked, multi-day trip for two to Cedar Point. I thought about canceling the trip and tried offering the package to friends, but I ended up going solo while grieving pretty darn well. It was a bummer at times; it stung to watch other people being together and having fun, but I'll tell you this: I was riding Raptor in the evening, and heading up the lift I looked to my left at a gorgeous red sunset, the coaster skyline, and all the lights coming on throughout the park. In that single instant I thought, "WOW, look at how beautiful this is...this is the big hug from life that I need, I love these rides, I love this park, and I deserve to have fun!" And I did! It sounds corny, but I had my first smile in days during that Raptor ride, and I had an awesome time the rest of the trip. I will attest that coaster therapy is real. Thanks Samuel - that makes me feel much better about going to CP alone. Hope that I can snag one of those gorgeous sunsets too...they have the best sunsets there, I think! Also, sorry about the break-up. Hope someone special has since entered your life!
  16. Ahhhh...I wondered if this was going to make an appearance! Whatever happened to Wes anyway?
  17. How can this post make me die laughing and then want to cry? Quit fucking with my emotions, Bill!
  18. Definitely a huge loss in the music industry. Aretha was a legend.
  19. ^ If you wouldn't have told us, I would have asked when you were in New England, Andrew.
  20. I'm trying to convince myself to do a solo trip to CP once schools go back in session near month end. Still apprehensive, but I feel like I need to try and do something fun before fall and winter is upon us here in the Northeast. I know Michael would want me to, but this grieving process has been really hard on me in terms of wanting to try and do any type of fun stuff alone.
  21. I love it. Great announcement and just enough to piss off people that rushed to judgement. 2020 seemed the likelier year for another big coaster, and they will likely get it...just gotta have patience. But when that time comes, I wonder how many enthusiasts will get their panties in a wad if they announce that it's a dive coaster and not a 300' tall RMC remake of Son Of Beast? lol
  22. Kenan for the win!!!! More people need to understand why this is funny... [twitter] [/twitter]
  23. I just texted the link to my sister and she is STOKED because Valravn is her favorite coaster. Yeah, I really can't see how anyone would not be excited about this, but I think it looks awesome and I love the colors, new elements, the dive into the tunnel, the newly themed area as well as the addition of Winterfest. So yeah...I love everything about this announcement! Also glad that I had the patience to do the right thing and actually wait for the official announcement - it was well worth it (not that I would EVER be tempted to check leaked news). Loved Robb's comparison to leaking info about a couple announcing a baby - well stated, Robb. I had not previously been a huge fan of CW's coaster line-up other than Behemoth and Leviathan, but this coaster will definitely get me back up to Toronto next year. Huge props to them and congrats to our Canadian friends for getting another killer coaster!
  24. I wonder if Uncle Fester is a distant relative to Morty The Corpse Flower that we have at the Buffalo Botanical garden? Awesome report as always...thank you! I'm getting ready to book a flight to Seattle in October to visit some friends and to hit a couple of concerts...can't wait to get back there. I'd love to visit Vancouver during this visit, but I don't have quite enough vacation time to make it happen this time around. Some other time, Bill...I promise!
  25. YAYYYY...another Erik & Smisty report! It's been way too long!!!
