I went to Border's today and bought House of Leaves, written by Mark Z. Danielewski. I have only read the foreword thus far, but it sounds like a weird/interesting book. After that, I am interested in reading a book on the Salem witch trials, as well as Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil.

People used to not live very long...if you were 50 years old, you were considered very old. Now that some people live to be twice that age, the planet can't seem to handle it. Also the earth's population being 4x what it was in the 1950s (I think I'm getting that right) is creating problems.

As of right now, actual Halloween day is blank for me, but I have some related stuff going on this week... Thursday, I am going to a screening of Frankenstein in the historic district. Friday, I am going on a ghost tour in Irvington, Indiana. I have done that the past few years and it is pretty enjoyable, although they let too many people go on them. This Saturday, I am invited to a Halloween party...although I don't have any real interest is staying too long.

The Prestige-It was a pretty good movie. Boring and redundant at times, but complelling and good at others. It is basically about two magicians trying to outdo eachother's acts. Overall, it was entertaining enough, but I have no interest in seeing it again.

Thank You For Smoking-It was incredibly good. It was about a lobbyist for a cigarette company, his job and his struggles with life...saying good things about smoking, while still being a good role model for his young son. I highly recommend renting it.
