  1. Your joke wasn't funny...

  4. ^ Most people don't even know that Goliath at SFFT is the same as Great White 20 minutes away at Sea World. I was talking to some people in line for Goliath and they had absolutely *NO IDEA* that the two coasters were exactly the same. "Really? Are you SURE they are the same rides? they don't look the same..." This was a real conversation I had with the real GP! --Robb
  5. ^ Huh? Have you been there? Did you read this thread? I think it was already posted that the Hong Kong version has a much SMALLER station. Disneyland's Space Mountain can easily have a single rider line if they felt it needed one. I've seen rides with equally fast dispatch times use a single rider line. It has more to do with how the people are grouped. Have you ever watched MiB's operations? They have a counter on the wall that tells them how fast they need to dispatch each car. (I believe it's 15 seconds) and they seem to be able to handle a standby line, express line, and single rider line with (what appears to be) little difficulty. From an operations point of view, it entirelly possible that it could be done. Maybe not "easily" but it could absoultely be done, and the ops would be trained to work it into their routine. --Robb
  6. ^ I just did another test and it worked for me as well. Not sure what to tell you. Actually, can you try uploading a smaller video as a test? Like maybe a 10 meg video, and see if that works? I can delete it after you've uploaded it. --Robb
  7. Yes, it was free on Black Friday only, but you can still order the DVD for only $2.99 here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/store/index.php?productID=77
  8. How did it look playing through the Tivo and 360?
  9. ^ I'm not sure. I see that 4 videos were just uploaded yesterday so it seems to be working for some people. I would just try it again. --Robb
  10. ^ LMAO!!!! I think it's great that you used something other than just the stock photos. --Robb
  11. You never know. SFA has had SFAW's Ultra Twister in storage on the grounds for 4-5 years now, and it was just put on sale. La Ronde's "new" SLC has been in storage at another park (Great Escape if I remember correctly) for just as long. Basically until a formal announcement is made or physical construction I would not say anything is for certain at this point. I would normally agree (and do agree actually) but remember with the case of Astroworld, Six Flags was selling off the land and the rides had to be moved "somewhere* to be stored because it wasn't possible to store them in Houston. In the case of Chang, Six Flags owns and/or operates Kentucky Kingdom so why couldn't they have taken the ride down and stored it there? It cost money to disassemble and move a ride (quite a bit of money, actually) and I can't see them moving the parts unless they absolutely *had* to by lack of no other option. That being said, they totally could be just storing at at SFGam for it's eventual move to Six Flags Mexico. Who really knows? --Robb "Well, I guess someone at Six Flags does!" Alvey
  12. ^ It's not copyright protected! Not sure why it's telling you that. --Robb
  13. Awesome! Thank you! Look for Volume 6 - 9 very soon! --Robb
  14. ^ Heh...I like the idea of the Disney Castle!
  15. The file size is 1,306,834 bytes or about 1.3 gigs however depending on how you or your computer counts bytes it could also be 1,276,206 KB. Basically I wrote about 1.3 gigs so that people would have a guage to know how big the file is. If you downloaded a file that was about 200 megs, it's not going to work, but if you have a file that's about 1.3 gigs, chances are you got the entire file. --Robb "Just wanted to clear that up..." Alvey
  16. Now that IAAPA is over, time to unstick this. Hope everyone liked the coverage from this year's trade show and if you haven't seen it all yet, here's a link to our complete show coverage: http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/photo.php?pageid=189&linkid=7143 --Robb
  17. ^ And soon Volumes 6 - 13 will be available for download too! -Robb
  18. Weird. No one else has reported that they had this problem. We had 6,000 people download the video yesterday. I'm not sure your problem was on TPR's end. Let me do some more research and see if I can figure this one out. I mean, last night from about 8pm to Midnight PST the server was completely dead and giving me about 650 kb/sec. Better luck next time...if we ever decide to do something like this again. --Robb "And if not, the downloadable DVDs are only $3 each!" Alvey
  19. That was an amazing trip report! It honestly made me hungry!!!
  20. Hoodie update! Since I know a lot of you were interested in the TPR Hoodies, here's what I have left: Zip Up Hoodies Small - 3 Black, 4 Gray Medium - 2 Black Large - 1 Black, 5 Gray Pull Over Hoodies Small - 2 Black Medium - 3 Black Large - 4 Black X Large - 4 Black Place your order here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/store/index.php?categoryID=3
  21. Exactly! What people don't realize is that the downloadable videos that you buy will download just fine because there aren't normally 3,000 people trying to download the video at the same time! Unless of course you bought some downloadable videos today...then you may have some problems! --Robb
  22. ^^^ Joey, and I've had all of the above. Sorry if it sounded like my frustration was all directed towards pupkick, it's just that what everyone isn't seeing is all the emails I've been getting with people having problems, and I've been working as hard as I can to give them "tech support" (even though it's not something I'm required to do.) But I've had people swear up and down that a file has been corrupted and it turns out they ran out of hard drive space, I've had people's anti-virus software add additional extensions to the file and blame it on TPR ("You said it would be an .mp4 file and it's NOT!!!") and I've had a few people complain that they never got the download email only to find out they misspelled their email address! So I just ask for a little bit of patience with this, that's all. And Joey's right, we are litterally giving away thousands of dollars worth of TPR merchandise today. How many other Black Friday offers are doing that with absoultely NO obligation? *buy a TPR Hoodie* If your download isn't working today, trust me, it WILL work within the time window you have...just be patient and try the download again tomorrw or the next day. --Robb
  23. ^ Whatever. The issue wasn't you trying to "help" the issue was you telling people how I was wrong. That was the rude and obnoxious part. And no, the emoticon didn't help, sorry. Amazed that you can't see that. Here, let me actually rewrite your post in a way that would have actually been helpful and not insulting to someone who has stayed up all night and day getting this working for everyone.... See? Would that have been so hard??? --Robb "Just please think about how your posts will affect other people before you click submit...I don't thint that's too much to ask." Alvey
