  1. This is a "Classic" video from TPR! I'm not sure what is more memorable...Joey failing on the Monkey Bars with that Danish girl laughing at him or how amazing the park itself is! [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=farup_3ytz[/coastertube] This video was shot in 2005 and to this day Joey STILL gets crap for not doing the monkey bars! --Robb
  2. ^ That's exactly right. They fall down when they get to the top of the lift.
  3. Submitted my Steel Poll tonight. This one is always a little bit harder mainly because there is just so much "fluff" in the middle. 4. Robb, are all the downloadable ones all about the same quality as the freebie one? If so that is great as they seem to burn back to DVD OK at good quality even o a large screen TV. If so I shall start collecting these to save on UK postage. Thanks - Paul H Yes, they are all of exactly the same quality! --Robb
  5. I really, really wish the Israel pavilion would have been built! Just imagine having a beer there with Joey every year!
  6. Here's another photo I found that was labeled "Kid Kick Bootie." Was there a junior version of this ride???
  7. ^ I think he meant the second photo. I fixed it for him. --Robb
  8. Bon Bon Land! This might be one of our most popular videos ever! This park is so bizarre...so strange...so fun! I have to say though I was a bit dissapointed by our visit this year. All the "Do it yourself" rides were taken out and they downplayed the cow boobs character. The rest of the park is still intact and I feel that every theme park fan to go here at some point in thier lives! 9. ^ I don't think we'll ever be able to match the full quality in the .flv file and also not have serious bandwidth issues, but I think if your original file is pretty high quality they should look very good on CoasterTube! --Robb
  10. Yeah, if the company ends of changing owners AGAIN....could get real interesting....
  11. Wouldn't that be SWP&E? Seems they have used the "&" in their offical logo! --Robb "Things like this are important!!!" Alvey
  12. I've never uploaded it, but it is on Roller Coasters in the RAW Volume 3!
  13. LOL! I was hoping it would be the slide video that got posted!
  14. ^ I think it was some kind of walk through attraction that was closed the day we were there. --Robb
  15. How is it a dumb name? I'm curious to follow your logic. Aren't there more "Sea Worlds" than there are "Busch Gardens?" And it's not like they are changing the name of the Busch Parks to "Sea World." Remember this is the CORPORATE NAME of the company that operates the parks. I don't think it's any more or less dumb than a Sea World park being owned by "Busch Entertainment" as it is a Busch Park being owned by "Sea World Entertainment." Dumb would have been going with calling the company "Worlds of Discovery" as no one knows what that is. One of the biggest challenges a corporation can face is having to re-brand themselves. And when you are forced to do so, you want to go with the path of least resistance and a brand that is most recognizable to as many consumers as possible. Again, remember, this is the CORPORATE NAME, they aren't changing the names of any parks. But please, share your logic with us. I like to know why you think it's dumb. Or do you just not like the name? --Robb

Go open your present! ------------------------------------------------ Hey everyone! For the entire month of December we will be posting a TPR video EVERY DAY between now and Christmas Eve! Some of the videos will be classics you may have been watching for years, some of them will be BRAND NEW, never before seen! And some of you may be seeing even the older videos for the first time! Either way, we hope you enjoy them have a GREAT holiday season! Let's start out with this classic from Nara Dreamland...the "knock off Disneyland" in Japan. While this park was absoultely terrible (sans Aska, the wooden roller coaster) it was probably one of the more unique and "interesting" parks in the world. It closed its doors in 2006 and from what I've been told the park is still standing, litterally like an abandoned ghost town. Creepy! Enjoy the video! 17. This press release arrived today: BUSCH ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION CHANGES NAME TO “SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT” Orlando, Fla. (December 1, 2009) – With the sale of Busch Entertainment Corp. to Blackstone Capital Partners V L.P., an investor fund advised by The Blackstone Group, comes a new name for the company that operates some of the nation’s best known and popular theme parks. “SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment” replaces “Busch Entertainment Corporation” with the closing of the sale announced jointly today by Anheuser-Busch InBev and The Blackstone Group. SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment operates 10 parks across the U.S.: SeaWorlds in Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio; Busch Gardens parks in Tampa, Fla. and Williamsburg, Va.; Discovery Cove and Aquatica in Orlando; Sesame Place near Philadelphia, Pa.; and water parks Adventure Island in Tampa and Water Country USA in Williamsburg. The new name reflects the prominence of the SeaWorld brand in both the family travel industry and among the company’s portfolio of parks. “It is one of the world’s most widely recognized and respected family travel brands,” said Jim Atchison, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment President. “SeaWorld has been a brand associated with quality family entertainment since SeaWorld San Diego opened its gates for the first time in March 1964.” Despite the new name, little else about the company changes with today’s acquisition by Blackstone, Atchison said. The leadership team, park portfolio, operating philosophy, commitment to quality and workforce is unchanged: “While this is the start of an exciting new phase in our evolution, we remain dedicated to the same values and principles that have been the foundation of our success for five decades.”
  18. Here's a new article that is quite an interesting read. Could another company end up owning Six Flags? http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-200 ... 04400.html
  19. ^ It just mean's there a slight chance you could end up banging Bernadette Peters.
  20. There is also the video we did from that visit: [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=nasuhighland[/coastertube]
  21. ^ That is amazing! Maybe CoasterTube knows something you don't? --Robb "You were born a poor black child..." Alvey
  22. Glad you guys all liked the DVD! I know this is a shameless plug, but it's one that helps keep TPR Ad free.... If you liked that DVD, remember, we have several more in our Downloadable DVD section for only $2.99 each (The Raw Series is $3.99 each) and even $3 really does help cover the site's server fees. Thank you guys again! --Robb
  23. ^ I think they had decided to keep Terminator's sign red. The changing colors were cool, but I'll be honest, it did kind of look like "Gay Pride Terminator!"
