Be sure to follow our Twitter and Instagram Stories for live updates from our trip! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day three was a mostly full day stop at Carowinds! We arrived around 3pm and had 7 hours until the park closed at 10pm with an amazing ERT session on Fury 325 at night! We love our newer format of doing TPR tours because when you only have 34 people and a ride as massive as Fury, you can do things like keep one train empty for doing "solo rides" which is exactly what we did, and if you've ever been by yourself, at night, on a massive ride like Fury, it makes the experience even more incredible! We had an amazing day at Carowinds, and here's a few photos & videos from our visit... Look out Carowinds! TPR is here! [twitter] [/twitter] Fury 325 has been ranked one of the best roller coasters in the world! Showing some love for Intimidator! Just some of the random fun we are having at Carowinds today... Lots of onride photos to share! (Thanks, John!) [twitter] [/twitter] Things you wish you could unsee... [twitter] [/twitter] South Carolina or North Carolina? Choose one! Gotta love the funky seating arrangement on Intimidator! It’s Carousel time! Bert loves the horse with the pink! Night is setting on Carowinds! The sky is amazing! Can’t wait to start our Fury 325 ERT soon! Beautiful sunset over Carowinds! Fury 325 looks AWESOME at night! Night ERT on Fury 325 has begun!!! This is the best part of our ERT... SOLO RIDES!!! With a smaller group, we dedicated one train to riding by yourself! It really is an amazing and even somewhat creepy experience! [twitter] [/twitter] Huge THANK YOU to Carowinds and the Fury 325 crew! Your ride is awesome and you guys rock!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! After all, we took the time to write this report, the least you can do is post something nice about it! Click HERE for Part Four of our 2018 TPR USA Tour! -

First off - Don't tell the moderators how to moderate unless you want to be banned also. Secondly - WTF did I just read over the past couple of pages??? CedarFair1 *ABSOLUTELY DID* post some stupid clickbait video with a link to his video when he could have simply embedded it into the forum for everyone to view. But no, he made it a link so people would click out of our forum to his channel. That's really lame. Larry was absoultely in the right for calling him out on the legitimacy of the video. Here's an idea to CedarFair1 and the rest of you... If you don't want to be called out by our moderators for making confusing and stupid posts... Don't make confusing and stupid posts. Have I made myself clear? I hope so because no one is forcing you to post to our forums. -

People lived just fine without cars for many years. But now we have cars. It is really sad to see that people seem to believe they can't survive without their cars. People lived just fine without TV for many years. But now we have TV. It is really sad to see that people seem to believe they can't survive without TV. People lived just fine without microwaves for many years. But now we have microwaves. It is really sad to see that people seem to believe they can't survive without their microwave. People lived just fine without indoor plumbing. But now we have indoor plumbing. It is really sad to see that people seem to believe they can't survive without indoor plumbing. Seriously your argument is so insanely stupid it hurts my brain. -

Be sure to follow our Twitter and Instagram Stories for live updates from our trip! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Today was our first "official" park day and we did Six Flags Over Georgia! First of all, I just want to address something... WHAT WAS ALL THAT COMPLAINING ABOUT TWISTED CYCLONE FOR??!?!? That ride kicks all sorts of crazy ass! Yes. It's short. We know. We get it. Stop complaining about it. But OMFG! That ride is balls out bonkers NUTS! This ride is just as good as the best of the RMCs! It's like the "Batman of RMCs." Yes, it's a shorter ride but HOLY CRAP it uses every single foot of that track wisely and throws just as many elements at you as the longer rides. And that double inversion after the first drop is just stupidly cool. tl;dr - I loved this ride. And no one should be complaining about. Anyway, onto some photos & videos and we'll start with a backseat POV of Twisted Cyclone and you can see how bonkers it is... Here's a little video from SFOG showing off how amazing Twisted Cyclone is! Good morning from Six Flags Over Georgia! TPR is kicking off our USA Tour at one of the best Six Flags parks in the country! We filmed on 11 attractions here at Six Flags Over Georgia today! Starting off with Twisted Cyclone! TPR riders LOVED this coaster! Here is "The A Team" on Twisted Cyclone! Get it? [twitter] [/twitter] We LOVE the new wristband Flash Pass system at Six Flags Over Georgia! It's like the old Q-Bot system where you scroll what ride you want and reserve it, but it's wearable which works great for parks loose article policy. New Flash Passes for everyone! The boys and their Flash Pass! The A team has their Flash Pass! This ride is just crazy! I love this shot of all of TPR riding Twisted Cyclone! We LOVE Mindbender! Such a classic roller coaster! They don’t make ‘em like this anymore! You KNOW you want to fill that empty seat! Showing some love for Goliath! Dude, you're on the wrong B&M! Goliath is still running GREAT! [twitter] [/twitter] DIVE!!! DIVE!!! I wish all Eurofighters had these trains! Twisted Cyclone was absolutely FANTASTIC! I do not understand all the complaining I've heard over it... The ride is GREAT! Must just be typical Internet negativity.. FUN FACT! Six Flags Over Georgia has a “traditional” dark ride... "Monster Mansion” Which is kind of a rare attraction for a Six Flags Park! Night ERT on Twisted Cyclone has begun!!! [twitter] [/twitter] The ride is AWESOME! The crew is AWESOME! Having an amazing night on Twisted Cyclone! This ride is kicking all sorts of crazy ass tonight!!! [twitter] [/twitter] What an AMAZING night on Twisted Cyclone! The crew was super fun to hang out with! Thanks again to everyone at Six Flags Over Georgia! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! Day One - Fun Spot Atlanta Day Two - Six Flags Over Georgia Day Three - Carowinds Day Four - Busch Gardens Williamsburg ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ TPR is back on the road again! It's been a crazy summer of 2018 already and now we are road tripping from Atlanta, Georgia to Sandusky, Ohio by way of a lot of awesome amusement parks! Follow along on our adventures! Today was our "arrival day" which most of the group made it into Atlanta airport in time to have a quick visit to Fun Spot America Atlanta! YES, the same company who operates the Fun Spot parks in Orlando recently took over Fun Junction USA (also known as Dixieland Fun Park) and is starting to give it the Fun Spot makeover! There are already some signature looking Fun Spot Go Karts under construction and I'm sure we'll see many new additions yet to come! Here's some photos from today... Good morning from MCO! We are off on our next adventure! What do you think our final destination is going to be? Our plane seems REALLY confused! This is how every TPR trip should start! Look where we are at! Fun Spot America! But not in Orlando! We are here at the new Atlanta location! Fun Spot knows FUN and it’s great to see their brand of fun here in Atlanta! Fun Spot Atlanta has the “Screaming Eagle!” A crazy airtime-filled roller coaster! Here is an example of the FUN you have on Screaming Eagle! [twitter] [/twitter] [twitter] [/twitter] Go Karts are SERIOUS BUSINESS!!! Old guys love roller coasters, too! How many SkeeBall fans do we have following us? For a smaller sized roller coaster, Screaming Eagle has a HUUUGGE amount of airtime! [twitter] [/twitter] Those are screams of happiness and joy! Honestly, this ride is really fun. Yes, it might be a little "mean" but it packs an amazing punch! Hello Go Kart Elissa! "Dammit... I need another banana peel..." The bumper boats at this park have always been a lot of fun... and WET! Go Kart reverse POV! This is the old Paratrooper from Orlando. It doesn't run quite as insane of a program here, but it was still a LOT of fun! And the award for the sexiest men on this TPR group goes to... This coaster is proof that you don't need a BIG ride to be great! But it does do this to you... And this! Here's a view from the first drop! I spy some TPR photos! TPR’s somewhat annual International Snack Exchange has begun! TPR members from all over the world bringing local snacks with them to share with others on the trip! There are soooo many snacks from all over! Some of this world... ...some from a Wizarding world! This has been a TPR tour tradition for many years! Happy to keep it going for many more to come! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! If there is one thing I wish that people could see more of, it is the behind the scenes juggernaut that is the well-oiled machine that puts together everything you see at Walt Disney World. Thanks to several of the Adventures by Disney backstage tours that are offered around the WDW resort, you can get to see some of these things, and trust me, they are AMAZING! We were recently invited out to check out some of the highlights of the upcoming holiday tours along with a preview of what is up and coming this holiday season. During the holiday period Adventures by Disney offers two backstage tours that will WOW you! The "Holiday D-Lights" is a six hour tour that will take you behind the scenes of how the parks are decorated for Christmas and a look at some of other holiday offerings around the resort. This includes getting to see how the lights are put on Cinderella Castle, a walk through the enormous warehouse that contains all the holiday props used at Walt Disney World (It's amazing!), an inside look at the fireworks used in Holiday Illuminations (literally you get to look inside the fireworks!), and get to see how the Candlelight Processional show is put together and listen into the stage techs working as the show unfolds live in front of you. The "Yuletide Fantasy" tour is a three and half hour tour where you'll get an inside look at how many of the floral arrangements you see around the resort are put together, and you'll even get to make your own holiday treat! Both tours will give you exclusive keepsakes to take home with you! More information on these limited tours are available here: Holiday D-Lights Tour: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/holiday-d-lights/ Yuletide Fantasy Tour: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/yuletide-fantasy/ Since most of the tour takes place backstage, we were unable to take many photos, but we do have a few to share with you... Here's where you get to see how the castle Christmas lights are done! And the warehouse you can get a glimpse of behind me is just full of thousands of interesting props and familiar scenes that you will see all over the parks! This is only one small "snapshot" of what this section of the tour includes. If holiday decorations are your thing, seriously you will be amazing by everything you will see in this warehouse! Inside this building is where you'll get to see floral arrangements being made that are used throughout the parks. Not only did the building smell wonderful, it was so interesting to see how all this creativity comes together. As part of the Yuletide Fantasy tour, you will head over to Disney Springs for some festive decorating at Amorette's! Hey look! I made something! As you can see this takes a LOT of concentration! Even me, who has ZERO artistic talent at all, made something fun and cool! When this tour takes place in December, you'll get to decorate a Gingerbread Man! Here's a look at the exclusive pin you get for doing the tour! We were also given some other fun little keepsakes throughout the tour! But what about the rest of Holidays around the Walt Disney World Resort? Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will be back at Hollywood Studios! During the presentation, we were told that the Tower of Terror projection show will be adding new this year... get ready for it... LASERS!!!! (Thanks Laser Dave!) Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration (one of my all-time favorite shows at the resort) will be back at Magic Kingdom during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We got to check out some new merchandise! Check out how awesome Chip n Dale look hanging out in that new Dooney and Bourke holiday bag! That hat is FABULOUS!!! Love the Ugly Sweater pin collection! Especially the Baymax pin! And don't forget that sleigh rides will be back in 2018 at Fort Wilderness campground! It was a great day getting to experience these tours along with learning about what we can look forward to this holiday season at Walt Disney World! Hope to see some of you at the parks this December!

^ So what the hell, then? We'll be at Cedar Point next week and I can't wait to see for myself what is going on. I'm really happy I booked us two ERT sessions on Steel Vengeance because at this point I'm not sure I'd suggest that any of our group actually stand in line for it until the park gets their act together. -
The park is open 1030am-11pm, extra hours are 2 hrs before and after, so the whole event will likely be 8:30am-1am not including check in, which is usually an hour before event start, so probably about 7:30am. The park hours are 10:30am - 6:00pm. I would appreciate it if people could let ME respond to questions regarding the timing and schedule of the event. You have effectively just given someone WRONG information which could also potentially show up in a Google search and which could result in me having to answer even MORE questions. I do not appreciate this. So please, DO NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS EVENT!!!! That information will come from me and only me. Understood? Thank you.

It’s one thing to be upset with the park over a new policy and speak about it using logic and reason, but are these childish insults really needed? They don’t give your argument any weight and just make you sound immature. If you approached me at GR with this kind of attitude I would stop listening to you after your first five words. Try to be a bit more professional and maybe people may think about taking you seriously. -

While I would never "rank a ride" based on it, the annoyance factor DOES play into how often I will ride something. For example, I have been on Hulk a total of *ONE TIME* since it re-opened and I've never even seen the actual new queue because I did single rider. I only rode Dueling Dragons ONCE after the metal detectors went in and I only went to ride it because it was closing. I'm pretty sure I also posted my trip report somewhere from that night mainly because I wanted to point how just how insanely stupid and frustrating the lockers were for that ride. I can't even tell you the last time I rode Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and I'm not even sure I've ridden it since the metal detectors went in, and I do actually LIKE that ride! Thankfully for our upcoming visit to Cedar Point we have Fast Lane Plus and ERT on Steel Vengeance so it's not a huge issue for me personally, but I will speak strongly and loudly AGAINST any park that has a rule that forces you to put your items, especially your phone away in a locker for the duration of a line. And not even just for entertainment purposes, for example, Kristen is now of the age where she can start doing parks on her own with her group of friends. There is NO WAY IN HELL I will allow her to stand in a line for a ride where I couldn't be in contact with her for any length of time. I'm sorry, I just feel this rule is completely stupid and is an example the WORST guest satisfaction that a park can employ. I hate it and I won't tolerate it. I will choose not to ride and I will encourage others to do the same and go to Guest Relations and politely tell them that they are unhappy with these new policies. We need as many people as possible to do that. There has to be a better solution. -

I'm not sure where you're getting your information but that's not what Universal does for their big roller coasters. In fact, what Universal does is even WORSE than this policy at Cedar Point and I'd like to hope that no park ever ever ever adopts what Universal does. I honestly don't go to Universal as often as I used to because of their insulting loose articles policy where everyone is treated like a criminal. In order to ride a coaster like Hulk, you have to go through TWO METAL DETECTORS at their park! One to get into their park. One to get in line for the roller coaster. Sorry, you've lost me as a customer at the second metal detector. -

Ohio minimum wage is $8.15. Even if they had 3 employees wandering switchbacks I guarantee you there will be more people buying those $10 roaming lockers than it will cost them employees. Trust me, the park isn't going to be doing anything at a loss. If it was the difference of a 2 hour wait without my phone versus a two hour and 20 minute wait with my phone, I'll take the longer wait because I know that two hours without my phone WILL FEEL LIKE TWO WHOLE LONG HOURS, but with my phone, it will go by much faster. I'll bet they sell more Fast Lane Plus passes now because of this new rule. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
robbalvey replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This makes even less sense. If you're going to dedicate budget to have staff wander through the switchbacks looking for phones, why can't you dedicate staff on the platform going down the row of next riders waiting at the airgates telling them to take their items out of their pocket and place them on the bins on the other side of the train? How hard would it be to put bins in the station and take the staff you're already allocating to look for phones on people in the queue and just have them do that same job in the station? And I'm only suggesting this because I'VE SEEN IT DONE AT OTHER PARKS AND IT TOTALLY WORKS!!!! It gets the same end result and is a lesser annoyance to your guests. -
Great video though! I really like backseat POVs with mounted camera, it really shows how the train is moving through the elementa. And for this particular ride it works REALLY well! Thanks! I'm also a fan of the mounted backseat POV. I don't get as many chances to do it, though, so I'm glad this one worked out.

That is true. But I also assume that the park gets a decent cut, otherwise those lockers wouldn't be there from a third party and the park would just do it themselves. I can tell you having worked at parks that have operating participants at the park, that yes, there are LOTS of third parties that operate within parks and the deal is usually very beneficial to both the park and the participant. tl:dr - Everyone is making money. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
robbalvey replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't disagree with this, actually. I actually DO NOT go on rides where I have to stand in a long line and can't bring my phone with me. If I was at Cedar Point and I had to stand in an hour+ line for Steel Vengeance and I couldn't bring my phone with me, sorry, I'm not riding. I still have not seen the new queue for Hulk because I will not stand in line for that coaster if I can't bring my phone with me. It's my choice and I'd rather spend my money at parks or go on rides that don't inconvenience me. What if I'm not a "people person" and I don't really want to hear someone else's stories? -
I just once again want to point out HOW IMPORTANT it is to make sure a story is legit before posting it anywhere. I saw several reports last night quoting "Reddit" and "ParkFans" saying that the ride was on fire and it was destroyed. This is just like that time I was at Magic Kingdom where there was a small fire on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Twitter lit up with stories how the ride had "Burned to the ground" and I'm standing right in front of the ride tweeting photos "Guys, I'm standing RIGHT NEXT TO THE RIDE.... it's FINE!" but no one would believe me because they would rather be hung up in all the drama. And look, I get it, it's way more exciting of a story to have the ride burned to the ground, but there is just NO EXCUSE for reporting or spreading "fake news" like this. It's another reason why I personally feel Reddit is a cesspool of the worst in humanity and why when there is a story, I ask questions or fact check before I go reporting anything as concrete. If it doesn't come from a legit real source, which Reddit is NOT under any circumstance, don't report it unless you know for sure! Thank you for your understanding.
