I think at 30 days this may have been our longest trip to Japan so far. The bonus day at Tokyo Disney was certainly helpful. I think I said it already but I shot something like 15,000 photos during this trip and haven't even scratched the surface of posting most of them. I have a stupid amount of video to go through also! lol

Day Twenty Four - Tokyo DisneySEA! For the next four days we would be our "official" days at Tokyo Disney! Yes, the six visits made to Tokyo Disney previous were just "bonus" visits! We ended up taking 15,000 photos during this trip and probably five or six thousand of them were all at Tokyo Disney. So there is a LOT I still haven't posted yet. The most difficult part about the next few updates is choosing what to post. I'm going to start with the updates I did on Twitter since they tell more of a story (sort of) and then after I will probably post a stupid amount of random photos from Tokyo Disney just "because." So enjoy the next few updates from Tokyo Disney! Day Twenty Four - Tokyo DisneySEA What can be said about this park that hasn't been said already. It is the most beautiful park in the world some of Disney's top attractions and hands down is my favorite park on the planet. I could spend countless days here, sometimes not riding a single thing and still have an amazing day. I feel like the way I do Tokyo Disney parks is very different from your typical visitor and is not that different from how I visit my local Walt Disney World parks in Orlando. I have been here so many times now that I'm just as okay riding stuff as I am not riding stuff. And as much as I love all the attractions and will happily ride them over and over again, just being immersed into the atmosphere of the park is almost enough for me. If I didn't get on a certain attraction this time, I know I've done it in the past and I know I'll ride it again in the future, and there were actually quite a few things I didn't ride or go see this visit, and I was perfectly fine with that. I know it's a strange way to visit a park, but it's completely "stress & hassle free" and for me it just makes my park visits that much more enjoyable. Onto some photos & video! I will simply never tire of this view! Or this view... Thematically, Tokyo DisneySEA’s version of Tower of Terror is by far the best. And it’s one of the top attractions Walt Disney Imagineering has created! There are a few things in this world that no matter how many times I walk past it, I always have to take a photo. This is one of those things! So one of our TPR members randomly got the "popcorn pass" during the 35 Happiest Celebration! (And yes, ShellieMay is now officially a TPR member!) Let me explain... Do you remember the "Year of a million dreams" at Walt Disney World? Tokyo Disney is doing something very similar where randomly throughout your day, guests may receive little "magical moments" that will add to your visit. This popcorn pass is one of those things! (And those guys ended up getting 17 boxes of popcorn that day with it!) I will tell you that lots of time was spent in the Duffy store this visit! Many thousands of Yen was spent on the best plush animals money can buy! Megan has to choose the "perfect" StellaLou! ShellieMay was a little too naked so we bought her a costume! HAPPY MARCHING FUN! StellaLou cosplaying as ShellieMay? Can you guess which popcorn flavor Elissa is having? Hint: It’s very exotic!!! It is always awesome catching the volcano when it is erupting! There are times walking around DisneySEA when I have to remind myself that I am in a "theme park." I have to tell myself that quite a bit, actually. I have been on Tower of Terror at Tokyo DisneySEA more times than I can count... ...and I still cannot get over how well themed this ride is and how impressed I am with the attention to detail. Apparently Harrison Hightower has kept records on cannibalism! lol Love the detail! We all loved Tower! (We includes ShellieMay and StellaLou!) WOODY!!!! DO NOT EAT SHELLIEMAY!!! She is not a gummy bear! These little guys are cute AND delicious!!! Just like veal!!! What's this??? A Buzz Lightyear transformer??? Watch this video on how it works... [twitter] [/twitter] HAPPY MARCHING FUN!!! Taking a break to our favourite Yakitori place in Shibuya for one last “meat on sticks” meal! And yes, even ShellieMay approves of this meal! [twitter] [/twitter] We are on the monorail heading back to our happy place! Made it back in the park to catch the last 10 minutes of Fantasmic! That’s a huge bunch of fire, BTW! And yes, this is by far the best version of the show! In the “Tokyo Disney does it better than any other park that has this ride system” department, I give you Indiana Jones. [twitter] [/twitter] Shout out to this guy making a flashlight Mickey Mouse! I swear the Cast Members here are the nicest, friendliest, most respectful, fun, charming, just want to make you hug every one of them & honestly make the world a better place! We you! I love all these Mickey statues they have in both parks for the 35 Happiest Celebration! And the lighting on them at night is wonderful! Raging Spirits isn't a great coaster, but it's a "good" coaster and the theming of the ride, especially at night makes up for it! How's it going Chandu? ShellieMay had her own row on Sindbad! [twitter] [/twitter] The volcano is looking quite active tonight! 20,000 Leagues is great to ride at night because there is never any line! And your eyes always seem to adjust better to the sets in the ride also. SQUID!!! I love all this attention to detail on the Indy ride! This doesn’t NEED to exist but we are sure happy that it does! Goodnight from Tokyo DisneySea! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! After all, we took the time to write this report, the least you can do is post something nice about it! Day Twenty Three - Benyland & Lina World! Today we traveled 300 kilometers north of Tokyo for a couple of smaller, quirky, but fun parks that we hadn't been to in about ten years. Both of them feature some pretty "interesting" rides and the parks themselves are nice so we thought we'd go a little north today and check out these places once again... Welcome to Benyland! Disneyland, this is not! Starting our day off with the Choo-Choo Train Jet Coaster! Choo! Choo! Seriously, though, this ride was a lot of fun! Benyland is an interesting park... The grounds are actually VERY nice and well kept. We saw staff operating rides, and then when they were done, went back to trimming hedges. Seriously! lol I'm not so sure what to make of this sign, but there it is! Cyclone is an Arrow Mine Train... And it's everything you would expect from old-school Arrow "Coat Hanger" designed goodness! They also have an Arrow Corkscrew... And yes, you get corkscrewed on it! Doesn't this trash can look like someone stole it from Disney??? This was an odd flat ride. I'm not sure I've seen it before. But it just looked like "Shovel: The Ride." It wasn't terribly amazing. Boo! Oh yeah, they also have one of those awesome Zamperla suspended kiddie Fiesta Express coaster! lol If you ever wanted to be a shrimp... ...or an ice cream cone, now you CAN at Benyland! yay! Nice park, though. This is most certainly a worthy stop in the northern part of Japan. Next stop was Lina World. Another smaller park that we've been to before, but quite enjoyed for it's quirkiness. Another park with a nicely landscaped entrance. Boobs. The whole park has this interesting "woodsy" feel to it and some of it was nicely kept up, other parts looked like it had seen better days. Upon arrival to the "Jetcorster" we were slightly disappointed that they had fixed their spelling mistake! Aha! But we found that it STILL exists on some signs! The ride itself is interesting as it is the text book definition of the "Figure 8" roller coaster. It does stuff. People rode it. It didn't kill us. So that's a good thing! I love the little "shield" this log flume has installed on it! lol "We don't want your fake comfort animals here!" The next coaster was both funny and not! lol Funny in that when you weren't riding it, you got to watch other people suffer in pain! lol But "not" when you were riding it and you're that person! The Hello Kitty area was pretty much all closed up. It looked like it had seen better days and I hope they re-do this area. They did, however have a Sanrio themed dark ride... Yep, there it is. There was a lot of glowy, blinky lights... And characters that you probably know if you like Sanrio characters. Hello, guys! So happy to see this game is still just as popular in Japan! And make sure you pick up plenty of Girly Dolls on your way out of the park! lol Lina World - Nice park. Needs a little bit of love, but still a fun place! The nice thing about base camping at Tokyo Disney is that every time you come back home, you get to see this sign! Tonight we didn't have time to visit the parks so instead we went into Iskpiari for dinner. Pitta 00 is an Italian place we've been coming to since we first started visiting Tokyo Disney 14 years ago... It hasn't changed much and it's still REALLY GOOD! Even better when they make your pasta right in the cheese wheel! Add a few snapchat filters and now you're in theme with the area! Minnie Kristen enjoying her pasta! This is just how Janice normally looks. Pac-Man pizza FTW! Seriously, the pizza here is great! We always recommend this place when visiting Ikspiari! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread
robbalvey replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You mean like how Midway Mania makes Astro Blasters redundant? Or the Star Wars lands and Star Tours? Multiple attractions based on one franchise have co-existed in different parks at the same resort for YEARS now. Why would this be any different? -
If you honestly think Alien Swirling Saucers is "just like something you'd ride at a parking lot fun fair" then my thoughts about you is probably something I shouldn't post. Seriously, I cannot stand ignorant comments like this. There is just zero reason to make it. While I actually agree that I don't understand why people "need to be first" to ride something, there is no need to make disparaging comments about an attraction that is perfectly fine at the same time. Next time, please try to be less obnoxious with your responses. Thanks.

Click HERE for an index of all our Japan 2018 Trip Updates Follow our LIVE updates on Twitter and Instagram Stories! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day Twenty Two - Fuji-Q Highland. Now I'm sure most of you know our thoughts on Fuji-Q if you've read some of our reports in the past. Let's just say that this visit to the park certainly made us think the park has turned a corner... in a good way. I’m about to say something that I have never said before and I’m happy to be able to say it... We had an amazing day at Fuji-Q Highland! This was actually our "after" photo when we were done with our day at Fuji-Q. I wanted to post it first because I'm still in a bit of disbelief of how good of a day we had! Here's some more photos & video... First let’s talk about the front entrance area of Fuji-Q as this is all new from our last visit and basically when you walk in... ...it’s almost unrecognizable as the park we have visited previously. This is a very welcome change! Our day started off with Do-Dodonpa! This is the new updated version of the coaster. The launch is still INSANE as ever and I really loved the new vertical loop! I’m a fan of vertical loops and the old airtime will was crazy painful so this is a nice change! Well done! [twitter] [/twitter][twitter] [/twitter] Next up we did some filming on Takabisha which still claims the “steepest” roller coaster in the world! And now for “silly photo” time at Fuji-Q! All of the Mt. Fuji themed food at Fuji-Q was amazing! This is all new since our last visit to the park! Eejanaika is an S&S 4th Dimension coaster like X2 at Magic Mountain. I’ll be honest as I’m not a fan of these coasters I didn’t ride it... ...but people in our group really liked it a lot! Ride operations were much improved over previous visits. We saw so many more rides going that ever in past days at Fuji-Q! Almost everyone “covers up” when they do a splash down boat in Japan! SKLOOSH!!! Love all the random theming on the vending machines at Fuji-Q! Love it when the cars duel on Takabisha! So apparently the “Haunted Hospital” walk-through attraction at Fuji-Q has permanently closed. I’m totally okay with this as the park does seem to be moving away from this sort of attraction. Curious to see what they do with this space. (I always though this attraction was overrated anyway!) Om nom nom... I eat roller coaster cars! Seriously, the park was encouraging this sort of fun! Proof that the Thomas the Tank Kids Roller Coaster is fun for all ages! Speaking of Thomas the Tank Engine, the dark ride at Fuji-Q is actually really good! Human powered roller coaster FTW!!! Want to send a huge thanks to the staff of Fuji-Q for helping make the best day we ever had at the park! Excited to see this new direction the park is going in and hope to see more on future visits! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! After all, we took the time to write this report, the least you can do is post something nice about it! Click HERE for Part twenty three of TPR's 2018 Japan Trip Update!

Click HERE for an index of all our Japan 2018 Trip Updates Follow our LIVE updates on Twitter and Instagram Stories! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day Twenty & Twenty One This update is sort of a mixed bag of stuff. It includes a day where we did two smaller parks, a transfer day, some random Tokyo stuff and then ending back at Tokyo Disney! Let's just move forward with photos & videos and let them unfold the story from these two days... Our first of two parks in Japan today was this interesting Japanese amusement park “Hamanako Pal Pal.” Hamanako Pal Pal is home to the “Mega Coaster.” This is a Togo coaster that is part Manhattan Express... And part Great Adventure's Viper (remember that ride?) Oddly enough, it's actually pretty good!!! Speaking about Togo rides, Hamanako Pal Pal has this weird thing. It’s like a cross between a “Paratrooper” and an “Enterprise.” It spins, it swings, it locks the seat in place, it goes upside down. Super funky ride! [twitter] [/twitter] Everything in Japan is “cute!” ... Even the trash cans! Yes, that is a “sushi themed” bumper cars attraction at Hamanako Pal Pal! Oh, look... This Japanese amusement park has a giant Ferris Wheel! Let me put on my shocked face... A comfortable roller coaster this was not! It sort of felt like a trash can rolling down a hill! lol These two inversions on Mega Coaster at Hamanako Pal Pal were oddly not rough and actually a LOT of fun! And yes, this is a "Togo" roller coaster! Hamanako Pal Pal had a decent collection of dark rides and walk-throughs. Most of them interactive with some sort of score or prizes you could win. If you're not in the mood for a lot of rides, Hamanako Pal Pal does have a pretty large impressive arcade filled with tons of Japanese awesomeness! Our second park today was Lagunasia! A more “themed” park but also a smaller park. Has some decent attractions... Aqua Wind aka “Water Fart” is basically a wilder “Wild Mouse” coaster and is a lot of fun! “We are on a log flume...” Lagunasia has a decently themed log flume ride! So “Magical Powder” is a really bizarre dark ride! I can’t decide if this is telling people to do drugs, avoid drugs, or just something else. Either way, it’s kind of like drugs! We are all on some sort of “Magical Powder!” This is your brain on “Magical Powder!” Weird...but decent dark ride! The “Pirate themed” roller coaster now as a VR option... yup! This “Space Invaders” thing was kind of wacky. It was like a giant “Breakout” game where you are the paddle trying to bounce the bullet at the Invaders. Honestly it wasn’t that great... Stellar Coaster was an interesting junior roller coaster with on-board audio! It was pretty good! You can take some “Magical Powder” home with you! It’s legal in most Japanese prefectures! We had a good visit to Lagunasia. This is a promising park that needs a couple more bigger attractions! I sort of love the obsession Japan has with Capybaras! Hellllooooo Thunder Dolphin! How many of you wish you were riding Thunder Dolphin right now? Reply to this post if wish you were riding! [twitter] [/twitter] They have Chocolate Crunch at Tokyo Dome City themed to the Giants mascot and I think that is supposed to be his poop? “Let’s hear it for the Rainbow Bridge... it’s been an incredible success!” I really love the Japanese versions of the cover art for these movies! This retro arcade at Tokyo Decks is one of the few places in Japan I’ve seen Pinball machines! They have lots of other fun retro stuff, too! The walk-through Haunted House at Tokyo Decks has always been pretty weird and worth doing! In Japan, Wasabi pretzels are a “thing” and I like that! Yes, this is a Gudetama popcorn vending machine because... Japan! #Japan Welcome home! I love that there are resort line tickets themed to both the 35 Happiest Celebration and Tanabata Days! Our home for the next seven nights! We highly recommend Hilton #Tokyo Bay when staying at Tokyo Disney Resort. As much as we love all the Disney hotels here, this is IMO a better option if you plan on spending the majority of you time at the parks! On the Monorail heading to my happy place! It's very similar to Orlando's castle, but I think this one may have slightly better lighting. They have soap dispensers at Tokyo Disneyland that dispense Mickey Mouse shaped soap!!! [twitter] [/twitter] Reply below if you wish you were riding Space Mountain right now! [twitter] [/twitter] Fun Fact! If you go to guest relations at Tokyo Disneyland and ask for the “English Translation Cards” they will give you this beautiful pack of pamphlets for several of the park rides! Photos & video simply do not convey just how cool Tokyo Disneyland’s Winnie the Pooh attraction is! One of the best dark rides ever made! (and I honestly am not a huge Pooh fan!) [twitter] [/twitter] Do NOT under estimate how amazing Tokyo Disneyland's Electrical Parade Dream Lights is! It is hands down the best night time parade Disney has ever produced! Go watch our live stream replay here: [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew] What a great night at Tokyo Disneyland tonight! I like that this has been my sixth visit to the resort this Japan trip and our “official tour days” haven’t even started yet! [twitter] [/twitter] Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! Click HERE for an index of all our Japan 2018 Trip Updates Follow our LIVE updates on Twitter and Instagram Stories! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day Nineteen - Legoland Japan! Today we visited a "new park" for us! It's sort of rare with all of our travels we get to visit a new park, so this was kind of exciting for us! We've always been a fan of the Legoland parks and this one in Japan, although smaller than most of the other parks, still had quite a bit to offer! Many of the Legoland attractions you are familiar with like The Dragon, the "water whip", the Adventure-themed shooting dark ride, etc are all here. And of course their Miniland was amazing! Here's some photos & video... Look at where we are heading this morning! TPR says “Good morning from Legoland Japan!” Warning! Lots of LEGO photos are about to be posted! (You’ve been warned!) There are a lot of super awesome looking things to see in the Miniland area but we’ll come back to this area later... Rides first! The Dragon is the same roller coaster you know and love from other Legoland parks. Still a GREAT ride and one of the main feature attractions of the park. (they also have a kiddie version of this coaster, too!) What is more important than the Dragon roller coaster... ...are all the cool LEGO characters they have outside of it! So... If Legoland Japan can have dueling Dragon coasters, why can't... Chuck must stop LEGO Godzilla and LEGO King Kong from destroying Japan!!! I love the “Submarine Adventure” attraction at LEGOLAND Japan! and I love that the name of your ride vehicle is “S.Q.U.I.D.” I don’t know why but squid is such a fun word to say! Everyone get in the S.Q.U.I.D! Here we are in the S.Q.U.I.D! You’ll see real sharks & fish on the Submarine Adventure... ...and maybe a few Lego characters thrown in as well! We have this amazing photo to remember our Submarine Adventure! [twitter] [/twitter] There really is just too much to show from Miniland! So much amazing stuff to see here! [twitter] [/twitter] It always makes me happy to see the “Rescue Academy” attraction at Legoland parks! One of my favorites and I’m glad they have it at Legoland Japan! More awesome Japan stuff in Miniland! While not the largest Miniland we've seen, Legoland Japan's might be the most elaborate! Choose thy fate: Post below what you want to be when you grow up! S.Q.U.I.D!!! This is probably my all-time favorite Legoland attraction and happy to see that not only does LEGOLAND Japan have one... ...but it’s also S.Q.U.I.D. themed!!! It just wouldn’t be a Merlin Entertainment park without a Pizza/Pasta Buffet!!! And this is the BEST one we’ve done so far!!! Pizza/Pasta Buffet!!! A trip on the Observation Tower will give you a nice birds eye view of the park! Here's the overview of the park. You can see that while the park is not that large in size, it does have a lot to do! This LEGO factory tour is one of the best we’ve ever done! You can see them making the actual LEGOLAND Japan bricks they give to you at the end of the tour! (And yes they are free!) I could just keep posting more pics from all the different areas of the park! No matter what direction you look there is always something cool to see! The large interstate in the background of the LEGOLAND City area actually works with this park! It fits the theming! This may have been my favorite display in Miniland! Yes those are all Lego mini characters in the stadium seats! Thousands of them!!! Why, yes of course LEGOLAND Japan sells LEGO shaped food... Some close-ups of many different scenes in Miniland! So many details! More awesome LEGO fun! I could easily post 100 photos of just more random things you see while wandering around the park! Pride zebra? In almost every Miniland at the different Legoland parks you can find a character sitting on the toilet! S.Q.U.I.D!!! We had a fantastic visit to Legoland Japan! All the Legoland parks do such a great job of truly making you feel like a kid again! The “giant white mannequin” in Nagoya Japan was dressed as Chewbacca this visit as a promotion for Solo. It’s pretty creepy looking... gotta admit! FYI - This is what it looked like in 2004.. Yes, these are capsule toys of “animals peeing into urinals!” Oh, Japan... We LOVE you!!! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! After all, we took the time to write this report, the least you can do is post something nice about it!

Having spent a great deal of time in my 20s and 30s partially living in the UK due to work, I have a fondness for the UK parks and have always liked them. Sadly, we haven't actually made it back to any of the UK parks since 2010 and I do miss them! Hopefully that will change next year. And you're welcome on the Twitter support!

Click HERE for an index of all our Japan 2018 Trip Updates Follow our LIVE updates on Twitter and Instagram Stories! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day Eighteen - Parque Espana This would not be our first experience with Parque Espana in the rain! In fact our first experience we visited the park during a typhoon, which you can see in THIS video (which BTW, you can right now download for FREE!), so of course we knew that Pyrenees would not operate in the rain. We did have a very good time at the park as it does have a lot to offer, but did we end up getting on Pyrenees? Read the report to find out... Good morning from Parque Espana in Japan! At the moment, our visit is looking reminiscent of our typhoon visit in 2004 where everything was closed. The park still looks as good as it always has! This is one of the nicer looking parks in Japan and they have really kept it in good condition! Even though the “big” rides are closed due to rain, we will make the best of it and enjoy the park and the attractions that ARE open! The name of the ride is “Ironbull” but once you see “TronButt” you can never unsee it! #TronButt #TronButt Ironbull aka “TronButt” is the old “Bullfight Coaster” rethemed to a Steampunk Bull! (Yes!) The newer theming was actually quite nice! The ride is fun, a bit jerky, but most certainly unique! #TronButt Pyrenees is currently closed due to weather. It’s raining pretty bad, the forecast calls for rain all day, and this coaster doesn’t operate in the rain. That blue dot is where we currently are in Japan! But there are characters out and regardless of weather, we will always have fun with them! We especially like this character! What can we say? She's cute! Maybe Dan & Chuck are part furry? The new kiddie coaster was open and some of the people on our tour couldn’t possibly pass up the “credit!” (No, I did not ride...) Since it’s raining we would check out some of the indoor attractions like the Alice in Wonderland interactive walk-through. They have given us some sort of magical wand weapon or something... [twitter] [/twitter] The park is actually themed to a “Spanish Village” and it’s actually a really nice looking park! It’s huge, too! Dan approves of the “Wine & Beer” section of the park! Parque Espana has three dark rides, all of them pretty decent! The shooting dark ride is themed to demons or zombies or something. The “Peter Pan”-like suspended dark ride “Don Quixote’s Magical Flight” is really good! It tells the story of the park mascots and their adventures. The “Nutcracker” dark ride is this bizarre light show that feels like something the park did for a Christmas event, but liked it so much they left it up all year round! [twitter] [/twitter] The current rain forecast is calling for weather to improve at 16:40. The park closes at 17:00. Will we make it on Pyrenees??? I have no words for this... Love this coin press machine where you can personalize your own coin! Awww, I remember visits when Kristen was small and she’d love playing in Parque Espana’s kids play area! Now she’s pretty much aged out of it. The volume of merchandise the park has based on these characters is staggering! I’ve only ever seen them at this park... ...and they’ve been their mascots as long as I can remember. The amount of stuff they have with these guys is insane! This store is filled with hundreds of items featuring these characters. Are they based on anything more popular? Like a movie or TV show? There really is a LOT of character based merch here! I can only imagine the development cost of all this stuff! So what about Pyrenees? Did we get on it or not? Thankfully, luck was on our side and we had originally arranged to do some filming on Pyrenees after the park closed at 5pm, but it would be cancelled if it rained. The rain ended up stopping about 10 minutes before park closing and the staff agreed to open the ride just for TPR as long as we didn't mind getting a bit wet (and maybe a little dirty!) Yay! It runs!!! The ride was closed all day today due to weather, but they managed to get it open for TPR after the park closed! Thank you Parque Espana for arranging this for us! Ponchos on since it’s still “wet” but dry enough to run the coaster! Pyrenees at Parque Espana is one of the best B&M invert coasters ever built! It’s right up there with Nemesis, Montu, and Katun as my favorite of these style of rides. Super intense and a LOT of fun! [twitter] [/twitter] It ended up being a GREAT day at Parque Espana! Huge thanks to the park staff who worked with us to get Pyrenees open for us in the 11th Hour! That really made our day!!! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! Click HERE for an index of all our Japan 2018 Trip Updates Follow our LIVE updates on Twitter and Instagram Stories! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day Seventeen - Nagashima Spaland! For our last few visits, Nagashima Spaland has had a new coaster under construction. This is AWESOME because it's great to see a park in Japan constantly adding new rides and coasters! Two visits ago Acrobat was under construction, last visit Arashi was in the process of being built, and now this visit White Cyclone is being transformed into what I'm sure will be an amazing RMC coaster! Arashi was new for us and the only other S&S Free Spin coaster like this I've ridden is at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. This version seemed to spin much faster and a lot more! We shot some AMAZING video (teasers below) and we'll have the full video clips posted soon! On to some photos & video... Good morning Japan! Have we mentioned how much we love you and especially your amazing rail system? We have spent amazing time in Tokyo, had a shaky visit to Osaka, and now we are on our way to Nagoya! Hello Mr. Shinkansen! I really don’t have a caption for this... do you? When we do our TPR trips to Japan, we like to travel to parks by train & taxi! It is by far the most efficient way to get to theme parks as a tourist in this country! And sometimes our taxis take us to some pretty cool places! Welcome to Nagashima Spaland! Home to the world’s longest roller coaster! And a bunch of other super cool rides! [twitter] [/twitter] The very first coaster I went to at Nagashima Spaland was the Shuttle Loop! Having grown up with Montezooma’s Revenge at Knotts Berry Farm this style of coaster has always been a favorite of mine! This may look slightly familiar and it should... Acrobat at Nagashima Spaland is a “clone” of Manta at SeaWorld! Clone or not, Acrobat at Nagashima Spaland is a GREAT ride!!! For 2019 Nagashima Spaland has brought in Rocky Mountain Construction to turn their White Cyclone wooden coaster into a hybrid! You can see they have most certainly started chopping up that ride! I can't wait for this!!! Oh, hi there... Lots of RMC track on site! I wonder if the Japanese theme park guests are ready for a RMC? Of course Steel Dragon 2000 was a huge priority of our visit to Nagashima Spaland! The view from the top of Steel Dragon 2000 at Nagashima Spaland! Nagashima Spaland recently opened up an S&S 4D Free Spin coaster called "Arashi." This roller coaster spins.... a LOT!!! Here's a few examples showing off exactly what "Arashi" does to you! It's pretty epic!!! This was such a fun ride to film on! [twitter] [/twitter] A mixed bag of emotions in this pic at the top of Steel Dragon some 300+ feet in the air! [twitter] [/twitter] [twitter] [/twitter] Nagashima Spaland still has one of these terrifying machines! I have a love/hate relationship with them as I hate that I love them! I rode it twice! They also have one of these rides... I also have a love/hate relationship with them, but minus the “love” part! It was awesome fun hanging out underneath Arashi mounting cameras in bizarre places so we could get some amazing footage of the ride! The staff at Nagashima are always so great to work with! And some of them are even TPR fans! Nagashima Spaland has always had great merchandise and these Acrobat undies are no exception! It features the bat flying out of the... well... you get the idea! And yay for the park having height check wristbands! [twitter] [/twitter] Our filming session on Acrobat got us some amazing photos and video! We’ll have more to post soon! And of course the group was huge fans of Steel Dragon 2000 at Nagashima Spaland! And in case anyone is wondering, YES we will absolutely be visiting Nagashima Spaland in 2019!!! This is the parks “big three” coasters and next year they’ll have to add one more to the list! We were so happy with how our footage on Arashi turned out! We had some great “stars” to be our riders as well! Beautiful sunset at Nagashima Spaland and it’s time to head back to Nagoya! We had an awesome day at the park! And no way better to end a crazy day than with a trio of Shaka-Shaka chicken! (Unless of course you went to a yakitori place!) Well, okay... maybe add in a beer or two at the end of the day! Now, POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!! After all, we took the time to write this report, the least you can do is post something nice about it! Click HERE for Part Eighteen of our 2018 TPR Japan Trip!

We were just discussing this sort of concept yesterday... "Don't you think if prices were LOWER people would buy MORE?" Games here in Japan are usually only 100 yen (A dollar) and you see people playing them all the time. Food & Drinks are also very reasonable, basically the same normal price as non-theme park restaurants and quick-service locations.
