Hey Fatties! LISTEN UP!!!

Are you sure? I had no problem with the front middle seats on Skyrush and neither did some of our other bigger riders during ERT... You're even sitting right next to one of them! -

I didn't have any problems with any of the rides at Hersheypark, but I'd still follow those bits of advice I posted on the first post. -
Wait, WHAT?!?!? You asked about what to do in ONE DAY in Paris. Now you want to take a train to Germany? You are aware that both France and Germany are BIG COUNTRIES, right? Have you even looked at a map? You are aware that trains don't operate at "light speed" right? Seriously, we aren't here to do your basic trip planning for you. Go look at a map, figure out where you want to go, look at some options and then come back here and ask better questions. No one here is going to plan your trip for you.

Look, I'm just going to be honest here.... questions like what you post are not helpful to anyone. You give us ZERO information about what you're interested in other than the word "amusement" and since your your question is so short and brief are we to assume you've done no research at all on your own and you expect us to do it for you? I mean, if you're into Disney, you go to Disneyland Paris. If you're not into Disney and looking for an "amusement" park I guess you'd to go Asterix. But seriously, I get really sick of questions with no information at all expecting everyone else to do your trip planning 100% for you. "Hi, I"m going to Paris for a day and while I know Disneyland Paris is the big park in the area, I'm not really into Disney and I prefer parks with more roller coasters and traditional flat rides. What would you recommend?" That's an example of how actually giving the reader INFORMATION will help you get a better answer. /end rant.

TPR's 2018 USA Tour Trip Reports!

Here's another video from our trip. Honestly, Twisted Timbers was quite an amazing surprise. Don't hate me for saying it, but I actually think I give it the edge over Steel Vengeance but really all three of the new RMC's we rode on this trip were absoultely INCREDIBLE and I would hate to have to choose one over the other. It just goes to show you the high level of quality and thrill that RMC has been putting out there! -

The Knott's Ghost Town Alive and HubZero are two very different things. HubZero IMO was just another "virtual reality" park filled with "attractions" that weren't good video games or rides. Ghost Town Alive is actually fun and interactive with REAL people. It's not a "ride" or an "attraction" in any way, but it's super fun. I've done a few of these "interactive theater" types of things now and I really like them a lot. The best part of about it is that if you don't do it, you're not missing anything and it won't take away from your day at the park. It's purely optional. -

This is exactly how disappointments like Kings Island announcing the Antique Cars happen. People post stuff like this, over-hyping and over-expecting something and then in reality, when it just becomes an "interactive game" played in the old Dinosaurs Alive area with no "amusement ride" factor in it at all, people get disappointed. It was really frustrating for me watching everyone lose-their-shit over the Kings Island announcement when there was NOTHING WRONG with it, simply because a bunch of people on the internet built it up more than what the park ever promised or teased about. I worry that the same thing is going to happen here. People are already talking about "building stuff" and "zip lines" and there no evidence AT ALL about any of that happening! The freaking clue was a pencil. Which could be as simple as being used on a score card that you'll keep while playing the interactive games and going on tasks around this new area. Seriously people, the more you post things like "I think they'll be a zipline" the more that turns into "Fake News" and next thing you know we'll have Trump in office for another four years. So let's STOP with the made-up crap so that doesn't happen! Ok? Thank you. -

OMG. I'll bet that is EXACTLY what it is. That honestly makes the most sense. Ghost Town Alive has been INSANELY popular at Knott's Berry Farm, another Cedar Fair property, and it would actually make sense to bring this over to Cedar Point to give people some fun non-coaster things to do during their day. -

Thanks for that. I didn't ride Gatekeeper on this last trip but I know I saw the double belts on Raptor and Rougarou. I rode Valravn a couple of times and I thought I saw them but honestly I might be confusing that for Griffon which I rode just a couple of days before and I know that had the double belts. I can't speak for certain for the length of those belts but I know on Raptor, the normal seats are very snug on me and the big boy seat was not at all. I'm assuming there had to be at least another 2-3 inches on the Raptor belt. -

Huh. All of the B&Ms at Cedar Point have big boy seats with two seat belts. I ended up sitting in the one for Raptor and I saw them on ValRavn and Rougarou also. This was recently about 3 weeks ago. Not sure what you saw but maybe you just missed those seats somehow? I don't even think I've ever seen a B&M Big Boy seat that didn't have the two buckles, actually. And the seat I was in for Raptor had a significantly longer seat belt. -

This is actually 100% correct as well. There have been some rides that Elissa and Kristen don't feel as secure because the lowest setting is actually not that comfortable on them because it's too loose and they get thrown around. Honestly, the real answer to that question is "don't be fat." And again, this is coming from a larger guy who will be proactive to "do something about it" if I ever felt that I couldn't fit. Of course she was in a scooter and only cared about herself. But really, if she actually cared about herself, she wouldn't need that scooter to shlep her around the park. Funny how every time we go to Europe or Asia, we'll be in those countries a good couple of weeks and we'll see our first ECV and go "Wow, is that the FIRST ONE of those we've seen in two weeks???" How is it that so many other countries don't seem to have this problem but we do, and no one wants to do anything about it expects the parks and ride companies to continue to accommodate that sort of irresponsible behavior. I'm curious...what ride company was it? -
Look, just being honest here... Most of the houses tend to blend together anyway. They are all really good and I do enjoy them for what they are, but after you've been going to HHN for so many years you start to see a lot of the same effects and props just recycled into different houses. So even if you went into it not caring about any of the "themes" of any of the houses, they'll still be some of the better looking houses you'll walk through. I only just wish one of these years they'd cut back on all the damn audio triggers and just let the scareactors emote and "scare" more like they used to.

Go to Guest Relations. With a $5 donation to their conservation fund you can get a plastic card. Does this work for Platinum Passports as well? I'd happily fork over five bucks for that. My Platinum Passport is the plastic card. -

Ok, first of all, Plants Vs Zombies and Mass Effect are not "dark rides" so I wouldn't put them in that category at all, and on top of them not being dark rides, they were terrible. Iron Reef on the other hand is actually quite good! I think it only really suffers because, much like what happens with quite a few "themed attractions" at Knott's, they are always compared to Disney who is literally down the street, and when you compare Iron Reef to let's say Toy Story Mania, no it doesn't really stack up. But that being said, I actually think it's a very good media-based shooting dark ride. -

Wow, really? We didn't have anyone that had any sort of issue with Twisted Timbers at all. In fact, I felt it might have been one of the LESS restrictive RMC's towards bigger riders. -
