  1. IMO watermarks like that are not about "protecting your image" it's about "insecurity." Meaning someone just HAS to show to the world that they have the "first' picture of something and they want to make DAMN SURE everyone knows who it is. I personally laugh my ass off at stupid crap like that. Congratulations, you were the first person with a picture of a "sign." If your overall content is good, people will know where it came from or link to it. And you can always use a small tiny watermark that doesn't distract from the actual image. That just looks like pure crap to me.
  2. Here's the full video of Finnegan's Flyer with Onride POV:
  3. Need to find someone ASAP! Let me know if you are interested! I just got the invite for Firebird at Six Flags America on the morning of May 16. Do we have anyone that is somewhat local to the area that would want to go to it representing TPR? You must be willing to shoot photos & video of the ride, post a trip report to the forum, and be on-camera with much enthusiasm for a rider-cam! If you're interested, please email: robbalvey@themeparkreview.com
  4. Really? You registered a whole new account just to come back on the forum to be angry over something so incredibly stupid and petty? Wow. The only reason why I even approved this post is to point out how INSANELY obnoxious and self-entitled you are being. You are EXACTLY the example of someone we don't want on this forum, EXACTLY the example of someone when they walk into a parks Guest Services that makes the people behind the counter go "Ugh, what does this annoying asshole want to complain about now?" and EXACTLY the type of person I hope I never run into at HersheyPark, King's Dominion, and Knoebels. The fact that you are making a huge deal out of something so incredibly insignificant like "not being able to ride a coaster first" is exactly what is wrong with humanity. Posts like yours just make me want to move out of this country a little more every day. I'm willing to bet the feeling is mutual.
  5. Yeah, that's actually a really shitty obnoxious attitude to have. Not only would I not want you representing our site but I don't want people like you on our forums. So you can just sit there on the sidelines and watch the rest of us post about the fun we're having in the park while you sit there and be a self-entitled rude jerk. Bu-Bye.... The irony of this is that had to responded "Oh, man, I'd love to do the media event and get to ride before the opening date" you would have actually gotten to do something super fun and cool that ALL those other passholders and members would have wanted to do. Personally, I feel that if you're looking for "bragging rights" (as dumb as that actually is IMO) saying you got to do a media event is by far higher on the list than "riding it first" through a passholder preview. But to each his own... you just sit there and continue to be angry....

  7. That has nothing to do with this announcement or this area. And yes, according to the developer when I spoke to them a couple of months ago that project IS still happening. But for the sake of this thread, can we please keep it on topic with THIS development? Thank you.

  9. Yeah, this is NOT something we want to draw attention to. We are very thankful that Disney allows cameras and phones on rides. Posting about though, IMO, is just as STUPID and the person who jumped out of the train because the last thing we want is for Disney to see this go viral and think twice about changing those camera policies. Park rules were broken. And we have in our Terms of Service that we do not want to support or promote that kind of thing at all. Link removed. Thread closed.
  10. That stood out to me the most. No, it's actually pretty decently maintained. SFGAm's Little Dipper shouldn't be on that list but I definitely chock it's placement along with Zach's Zoomer as simply being the two boring Midwest coasters that folks in the region rank the lowest by default. It makes somewhat sense, riders get more entertainment out of an uncomfortably rough thrill ride than one with no thrill at all. It's basically a no-win situation with the kiddie woodies. It's unlikely that anyone is going to rank them very high, yet if we remove them from the list, people will complain that they aren't there. Because how do you say "Well, let's include Wooden Warrior and Oscars Wacky Taxi, but not Zach's Zoomer and Little Dipper." If I was one of those junior woodies I wouldn't take it too personally... and just be happy that I exist in the first place because, at least until recently, that genre of coaster was kind of a dying breed...
  11. My feelings exactly... EXACTLY! I think there was a time some more dorky coaster enthusiasts (read: ACE Members) thought it was super cool or "funny" to rank Grizzly the worst in the world (I am probably guilty of doing this too at one point decades ago), but over the years I've just come to realize that it's not funny... it's actually very stupid... for all the reasons you said. My gut feeling is that some people are voting based on "tradition" not actual real opinions or experience. Because, damn...I most certainly have been on a LOT more worse coasters than Grizzly!
  12. Because people have asked.... Top Coaster Rankings: Bottom Coaster Rankings:
  13. They are actually from Disneyland but the DHS stuff we saw looked pretty much exactly the same. I don't think they are that far apart from each other. When I walked into the land yesterday, I was surprised at how "done" it looked. Pathways were finished, entrance areas, etc. They are clearly doing more "finishing touches" and "tweak and adjust" right now.
  14. So I got to go "Behind The Wall" at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge yesterday!!! The new land looks INCREDIBLE!!! Think "Pandora" but on an even MORE immersive and impressive level! While I was not allowed to take any photos or video of what we saw, Disney did provide us with some pretty good images. I was allowed to record audio so in this video, you have about a minute of 100% *REAL* land images (not concept art) and then in the audio portion of the video there is a mix of concept and real images. Enjoy! POST YOUR COMMENTS!!! EDIT: Here's a few images to check out... These are all REAL PHOTOS!!! Not concept art!!!
  15. We were at the world premiere for the new Wonderful World of Animation nighttime show at Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios tonight! COMMENT BELOW your thoughts on this show!
  16. It costs $10 a ride on White Lightning here at Fun Spot. $16 for a ride on Manhattan Express last time I was in Vegas. All I'm saying is that $20 is cheap af for an all-day ride pass, especially when you have rides as good or as legendary as Leap the Dips or Skyliner.
  17. I mean for $20, can you really complain? Just don't do the waterpark. You just asked if someone could really complain on the internet.... Seriously, it is TWENTY F**KING DOLLARS... to ride as much as you want... How much cheaper do you want it to get???? For clarity.... I'm not bitching about the price, but the fact that we have no interest in the water attractions. I don't go to the water park when I go to Dorney or Hershey and I don't ask where their rides-only price is...

  19. So that's a "yes?"
  20. So now that Avengers Endgame has made an INSANE $1.2 Billion Dollars and everyone that would care about spoilers has obviously seen it, it's okay to talk about the movie, now, right?
  21. Here's the multi-angle POV and some interviews that Jason did during the media event....
  22. There is so much that happens behind-the-scenes & "beyond the parks" at Walt Disney World which usually goes unnoticed by most guests. It's always nice when Disney gives us a little look behind the magic to really have an appreciation of what it takes to bring everything you see in the parks to life. Such was the case when we got to visit Walt Disney World's new solar farm! You may remember that Walt Disney World built a solar farm in the shape of Mickey Mouse (of course they did! lol) but now, they've taken things one HUGE step forward! A 270-acre solar farm, the size of TWO Magic Kingdom's that will power two of the theme parks at Walt Disney World! And we got to check it out... This morning we are heading to Walt Disney World, but for a DIFFERENT kind of fun! You may remember the original Solar Farm that Disney build... it looked like Mickey Mouse... because... Disney! While the new 270-acre solar farm may not represent any Disney character, it does stand for something a bit more important... generating enough renewable clean energy to operate two of Disney’s four theme parks As you drive into the facility there are solar panels everywhere you look! Located adjacent to State Road 429 on the WDW property, as you drive by, it seems like the solar panels go on for miles! And I present to you... Disney's solar farm!!! Not only can the over half-a-million solar panels generate 50 megawatts of power... They also have the ability to move and track the sun throughout the day! (They are probably smarter than most of us!) That's a lot of wires! Not even my computer desk is that well organized! Fun Fact! The facility is also pollinator friendly! With the goal of creating a nurturing and welcoming habitat for butterflies, bees and other insects! Yes, these creatures are welcome neighbors to the solar farm and are also helping the environment! Yay! We got to sign one of the solar panels! Now Theme Park Review will live on in solar power history! VOLUME UP! Listen to Angie speak about the solar farm and some of the interesting facts and info about it! [twitter] [/twitter] Thanks for reading everyone! Now... POST YOUR COMMENTS!!! Conveluted.nltrack
  23. I am unable to relate to any of what you just said. It's a movie. And they've been making comic book movies and franchises since I can remember. I mean, I saw the original Superman The Movie in the theater in 1978. Everyone thought then that was the end-all, be-all Super Hero film. Saying that you think super hero films have peaked with Endgame, to me that's like someone saying... "I know that roller coasters have peaked at Magnum XL-200 and I'm okay with that..." and then 10 years later.... "I know that roller coasters have peaked with Millennium Force and I'm okay with that..." and then 10 years later... "I know that roller coasters have peaked with Steel Vengeance and I'm okay with that..." And then 10 years later...
  24. This is what Jack and I were talking about after the film.... The movie was trying to give this implication of everything coming to an "end" with all these characters, but... - Spider-Man has a movie coming out in a couple of months. - Guardians of the Galaxy also has a new movie (with what would appear with some new members joining the team.) - We've got TV series announced with Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Loki - And you can bet there will be another Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and from what it would appear from the end of the film another... well, I won't give it a way, movie or two. I keep seeing this all over the internet: "A solo Black Widow movie is officially in the works" so.... huh? I dunno... I guess I just looked at this movie as maybe an ending to a "chapter" but I highly doubt this will be the last time we see most of these characters, even some characters that we THINK we might not see again... Nothing is ever "final" in the comic book world...
