  1. Here is something else that the Disney "fans" were all bitching about... So this is a super cute segment from the new castle holiday show. Now I'm not usually one for the "castle character shows" because they are usually sort of cheesy and aimed for kids, but this new one was AWESOME!!! The amount of tech used in the show with all the articulated characters, projection effects on the castle, lighting, etc, was AWESOME! For some reasons, the Disney "fans" don't like the fact that they gave Mickey & Minnie a mobile phone to text each other with. WHY!?!?!? At what point did Walt Disney say "MIckey Mouse is stuck in 1928." We've seen the character drive a car, use a computer, take pictures with a camera, etc. Why can't he use a cell phone? People were saying "oh, this just reminds you of every day life and Disney is supposed to be a break from that." But isn't taking pictures also reminding you of every day life? Why aren't Disney fans complaining about Mickey Mouse being on a computer and possibly surfing the internet? The show was super cute and fun! Seriously there was NOTHING in the show to complain about. Yet the Disney fans felt the need to bitch up a storm. I really hope our group of people are better and can just see the show for what it is: ENTERTAINING!!!! OH! And here's another segment from the show. I freaking *LOVED* this!!! I was a huge fan of Muppet Christmas Carol and was really psyched to see them use this song!

  3. There is this, and the other thing I've noticed is that many of them are too stupid to understand that a lot of the services that Walt Disney World offers are not targeted at "locals" who have annual passholders. For example I saw this written.... This is what I don't get. Do people either: a) honestly believe that features like this and the cabanas are being marketed to locals who live in the area with a car and annual passes? or are they b) just too stupid to understand that Walt Disney World is a "destination resort" and the majority of it's audience is coming from hundreds to thousands of miles away for a "trip of a lifetime" and these additional benefits are for them. Because *I* get it. And I wouldn't suggest someone who is a local who lives in the area with an annual pass and a car take advantage of this, but someone who is coming into town and either has a limited amount of time, or just wants to have a slightly more relaxing transportation experience during their length of stay, I would absolutely suggest this service! This is the problem I feel with many Disney "fans" especially the Orlando locals. They don't get that the resort isn't creating all these offers just for the THEM. And it hurts my brain that they can't figure it out...
  4. I really try to understand these Disney "fans"... really I do! I see what they are complaining about on these other Disney-centric sites and really try to look at things objectively but really all I ever come away with is "So, wait, WHY exactly are we complaining about this??!?!" You would think that someone who is a true Disney "fan" would be applauding and happy that Disney is constantly changing and trying new things, experimenting with guest service options ALL THE FREAKING TIME to better the guest experience. But no, all they seem to do is bitch and complain whenever *ANYTHING* changes at all even in the slightest. I really don't get it. I live in Orlando and are at the parks all the time. All I see is improvements happening all around the resort, really everywhere you look, and I don't get where people are finding things to complain about. Maybe they are all just really sad, horrible jaded people where the only thing that makes them happy is finding things to be miserable about. I'm so happy I'm not this person!
  5. So Attractions Magazine wrote THIS ARTICLE about a new upcharge "express" bus service being offered at Walt Disney World to takes guests between the parks faster. People bitched up a storm about it and we were trying to figure out WHY!?!? We went and did some research today and honestly couldn't find ANYTHING that someone could possibly be upset about over this. Here is what we found: - This does not impact normal guests in anyway at all. - All normal resort/park busses run as they always have without any additional charge. - In fact, this REMOVES guests from the normal lines and improves the typical guest experience with the current bus system. - You do not need to go through bag check or security at your next park destination. - It takes some back stage roads that guests are not allowed for quicker access. - You skip the turnstile at your next destination. - Did I mention no bag check at security when you get to your next park? - At $24 per week, or about $3.50 per day of unlimited use, why would you not take advantage of this if you're staying on property for any length of time??? - And if you don't want to spend that money, no one is forcing you to and you can still take the normal busses, and now with fewer people thanks to this new option. So explain to me again, how does this impact guests in ANY WAY at all??? It doesn't. Why do people feel the need to just constantly complain about ANYTHING without even understanding what they are complaining about or how it impacts them. Because those people who don't want to spend the money actually BENEFIT from the new service and those people are either too stupid to figure that out, or just want to complain. I have said it before and I will say it again now: With all the crazy stuff happening in the world right now, anyone who chooses to complain about a theme park has their priorities REALLY screwed up. Theme parks are there to share fun and happiness with everyone and we need as much of that as we can get right now. So people, STOP YOUR COMPLAINING!!!
  6. That is actually a VERY good question and the answer is: YES! While I know anyone can have a GoPro camera and a roll of gaffers tape, the way we do it to get that butter smooth ride is actually something that we have "perfected." And many people out there will make fun of us for the method we use for our filming, but the proof is in the results. I have actually trained some people exactly how we do it, and not everyone is skilled enough to be able to do it. Those that can we have allowed to film for us. And as you can see, the results are fantastic! We have shown many parks exactly how we do our filming only have parks come back to us and tell us "We have tried over and over to do your method and we cannot get the same results...can you guys come back and film more?" I'm sure this will get quoted somewhere on the internet and laughed at, but we don't care. Our videos represent themselves just fine!
  7. This mouse was totally insane....
  8. I don't know, sorry. Going to move this to the main forum.
  9. To his defense it's a bit easier to be a cynic when you aren't actually going to ride a newly announced coaster. We Europeans don't really get the reaction "OMG, awesome new coaster in central Florida". I'm sorry*, but this is a really f*cking stupid justification for making rude, obnoxious and terrible comments on the internet. If you honestly think it's "OK" to be pointlessly negative because you live on the other side of the world, please leave our forums and never come back. We really would like to avoid stupid people as much as humanly possible. I'm just going to quote this once again, because it's 100% accurate and correct, and if you don't agree with it, that's fine, just please leave our forums and go find somewhere else to be an idiot at.... * I'm not actually sorry.
  10. As stated above. Don't. I think most of the reaction of the complaining comes from social media. At this point I have probably had to delete no fewer than 200 comments from people bitching about petty things. *sigh*
  11. I'm just going to quote this again because it's perfect and describes so much about how I feel about the internet everyday. Especially this part: "There's literally nothing to bitch about here but rather than not bitching and being happy, we're complaining about "
  12. Okay fine, you get a And one more...
  13. A really bad one. It would have taken about two hours to edit the supports and make the track straight. NL2 is not complex, and by the looks of things someone bothered to put more time into background custom scenery. Ugh, I'm so sick of you. Temp banned for one month. Try not being such a horrible, horrible person when your ban is lifted.
  14. This. I really cannot stand roller coaster nerds anymore that feel the need to bitch and complain about the most minor petty things. 99.9% of the world will look at that video and be all "Awesome! Cool! Can't wait to ride." But the horrible coaster geeks who sit in their mothers basements getting so worked up over any little incorrect factoid that no one outside of their own little screwed up community will care about are going to complain and be horrible. Do I sit here and critique every single photo that someone posts in a trip report? Insult them for their work? No. I appreciate the effort being put into something. This video sold the ride just fine as to what it is. Anyone who is complaining about it, IMO, is just being a complete a$$hole and needs to go back home to mom.
  15. Here's an awesome night POV of Olympia Looping currently in London that Craig shot last week. Should have more videos posted soon!
  16. No. It would not really fit that demographic at all.
  17. No, you're just talking to a complete idiot. You'd be better off talking to the wall.
  18. I completely agree. Saying Ober Gatlinburg was destroyed and then being all "oops!" is like saying that Disneyland was destroyed, and then all "oops! Sorry." Like, how do you get that factoid wrong? Yes, it's a natural disaster and there are lots of things going on that are beyond our comprehension of seriousness, but to say a huge area like that is destroyed and you're wrong about it? IMO, that's just being irresponsible. The initial update should have NEVER been reported in the first place unless it was 100% certain and fact checked. There were way too many "oops" posts in this whole scenario and it just makes me doubt the legitimacy of the news more and more. And I already had like 0 faith in it.
  19. I'm sorry, no. Acting as if criticizing trusted sources of information for doing a horrendous job somehow means we don't understand the severity of the situation or feel sympathy for those involved is ridiculous. You can understand the severity of the situation, praise the firefighters, police, volunteers and all first responders for their heroic efforts and sympathize with everyone involved while still being critical of the fact that trusted news sources got just about everything wrong and reported things that were entirely wrong as fact. If you don't have quality sources for information then you don't report the story as fact. Period. To be fair to the news agencies, it seems like they were getting a lot of this information from TEMA which really should have been credible so the blame may be more on them than the people who reported on what they were saying. TEMA has no obligation to rush to release information without verifying anything, they're not a news agency. It's not their job. The fact that people want information does not give them any obligation to provide it when they haven't verified their claims. You can't excuse legitimate sources of information getting just about everything wrong just because people are desperate for information. People have been way too forgiving of complete bullsh*t being passed off as news lately. Yep. Also agree with this completely. If there is any lesson to be learned from this it's that TEMA, and any other state's emergency agencies should simply not report ANYTHING to any news agencies until they are sure what they are reporting is factual. It's the classic game of "telephone" and in today's technology that shouldn't even be an issue. What I'm sure they have also learned is that the news outlets are ruthless and will post anything and everything to get ad views and website hits. It doesn't matter if it's true or not. And all that does it put people like the poor guys that operate the Gatlinburg Mystery Mansion through absolute HELL when they spend most of a day trying to figure out how to deal with their losses when it turns out it may not be true at all.
  20. Every single day. Almost every single post we make on Facebook or YouTube I see many examples of this. It's honestly really sad that humanity has gotten this dumb....
  21. OK so this was sort of fun! We put our heaviest dudes on Thunderbird at Powerpark and tried to break their speed record! This was filmed in late June after the coaster had been running all day! Was a lot of fun trying to break that record! lol
  22. People keep saying this but why does it matter? I walk by hundreds of dead fish at Publix every time I go to the grocery store. I don't ever think to myself "Well, at least the fish were already dead when they were put out on display to buy..."
