Texascoaster89 Negative, I live here currently and the forecast was beautiful for the whole weekend. I was pleasantly surprised as well at the crowd level! Did you move from Texas? This weekend is normally the busiest weekend of the year.

My thoughts on Halloweekends. I might not be the same as other since I do not have kids. This is one of my favorite times to go to the park. Yes, I know it’s going to be packed and less things open, but the park to me has a different vibe that I love. I enjoy that it’s a little colder. I get to the park for early entry ride a few things till the park starts to get busy. Then around lunch or when the Ohio state football game starts I leave the park or go sit at the bar at melt for a few hours and get food and drinks, so the long food lines really don’t bother me. After that I know I will not really ride much the rest of the Saturday. I grab a few more beers and just walk around the park do a few hunts depending on the line. Just enjoy the night and all the Halloween stuff even if it can be not so scary. If I wanted a real hunted I would go to one of the many hunts around Ohio that get voted in the top 13 list each year. I also think that you should know the first weekend of all the hunts will not be as good as say a few weekend in. The all need to learn to scare what works what is not working. I guess it go into the night know what I am getting into and that its still better than sitting around at home.

My thoughts on what is coming to the island is a mix between the interactive wound at Universal and, something like the pirate or sourachers of the magic kingdom games at Magic Kingdom. Could be a fun little way to waste some time and escape in the park.

As for the Crowed talk, Most of the Central Ohio Schools start today or tomorrow. the rest start the middle of next week.

Hey all. Going to Dollywood in about 2 weeks. I am more then likely going to get the 10 ride skip the line system. Unless people say it is not needed. I see that Lighting rod is not open right now. Can i get some tips and other advice that would really help me. Also how much is parking?

I was talking to some Employees at the Park Saturday and Sunday, from what i gathered it sounds like attendance is down up to this point this year. Any thoughts on?this?

Evo for the WIn!! On the Early entry topic, Over the last few years if you just went to the back get they would let you in. I would see people just buy tickets and walk right in with out showing resort guest. Last year at the start of the season they back parking lot was not open till 10 so that helped crack down on that.

Not sure if this is on Topic or not but, i will be going to a music festival at Riverbend. Since i have to walk in past the rides i didn't know if any way that i can by a ticket so i can ride the roller coaster on the way into the my show?

Do you know the rules for getting Alaternate access pass, i have seen people using it and my self have big walking issue have wondered what people do to get it. I wait like everyone else.

For who ever asked about the line getting shorted for Steel vengeance. I got in to the park late on Saturday due to dropping my dog off, So i got back to the ride around 9:30 the sign said 3 hours, and they told ride ops told me it would be around 2.5 hours. I didn't want to wait at that time. After lunch i wanted to see how long the line was since the park seemed to be getting busy. The sign said it was an hour. This was around 1:30 or so. I was talking to the 3 ride ops out front they told me right now the line dies down in the afternoon due to everyone running to it first thing in the morning. I also asked about running 2 trains. They told me it is being worked on but they didn't have started date yet. This will all change in the next few weeks once they run more trains.

The water park, and the water rides i would figure open tomorrow.

I will be at the park tomorrow so if we do not get an update today i will tomorrow.

Please let us know if they let you park in the water park lot. Last year they would not open it till 10:am so i could not get to that gate for early entrance.

Ohio State day got rained on last year and nothing was open. Wonder if they played into this at all to get them to come back.

I to was at the park last night. I ended up waiting about 2.5 hours to ride. This was due to a few breakdowns and at points only running one train. Still worth it. Like most people said this thing is amazing. Near perfection. It's almost like a perfectly done ball room dance. This ride is hard to put into words. Just ride it and ride it a lot. If they have issue on Saturday like last night this ,Igbo be the only thing some people get to ride.

I check in October and no real ubers around.

Saw for my first time the new cedar point market campaign communal today. Really well done. seems early for them to start marketing the park. I guess they are hoping to have people start booking rooms.

I am going Monday, and i can not wait.

The end of August is when a lot of Ohio Schools start back up and College i think start up too. This will help with attendance at the parks

I have been asked on Gatekeeper MF and Maverick how tall i am. They have check my height on Maverick and Gatekeeper. I am about 6'5 and a half. I am going to try to get a ticket to the event.

Speaking of fitting in rides. Do we know what the maximum height limit will be for Steel Vengeance?
