  1. Cedar point will give you a few days before reservations go live. I could see the park closing at 8. People need to realise everything is going to be different this year.
  2. The way everything is trending masks will probably be needed more places then less. Just do your part. Also, people just like to complain. They might have never had plans to go but now they can just yell about something for someone to give them attention.
  3. I know people that say I will not wear a mask. Then get on Facebook and get mad that everything is canceled. Just wear a mask to do your part and this will all get back to normal sooner. I am waiting for you to go back and see how Sea world is this week or next.
  4. They had just started testing before everything got shut down, so not really sure. With that said they have been testing it a lot since. I saw it running when I past Kings island on my way to Cincinnati Memorial day weekend. It might be the first ride to get the sign of. Busch Gardens said that Iron Gwazie is not opening when they open, and that was like a week or two away from opening.
  5. I would much rather have a day at cedar point then a day at work. I will go have fun enjoy it and make the most out of whatever is going on. Some people just need to take a step back and realize that there is more than Roller Coasters.
  6. This might be a day at the park that I do not ride much just drink beer and watch people/watch a train wreck
  7. The line for Steel vengeance is what I am wondering the most about seems like will still be two hours. This is a great point about Gatekeeper. should still be a walk on most of the day.
  8. Not Negativity just read a few things. https://www.toledoblade.com/local/Coronavirus/2020/05/11/coronavirus-shutdown-idles-state-amusement-ride-inspectors/stories/20200511066 They could of brought them all back. I see them testing to start the laps needed for Inspection.
  9. They don't Just flip a switch. I think Immediately was a term of let us start not to prep the park. At some point, you get in a holding pattern till you have to okay for the final details. None of the rides have been signed off to open for the year. That takes more than a day to make happen
  10. How will it go when they say They need to July to get ready to Open and you must wear a mask?
  11. I feel like the word sued is the wrong word but what do I know. It's to the point when they have played nice and I'm sure to point they have spent money to make it safe now please let us open. Sadly you have to look at this bigger than just cedar point. The fact how much the city is hurting. I saw a Bk is not going to open back up till the park opens.
  12. I'd buy that on a t-shirt. Someone makes a shirt that is a dumpster on fire that says 2020 on it. I find it pretty funny.
  13. Magnum seems to be testing. I would Guess They have been told that they can start prepping to open. Then the State will make the announcement in the next few days. Then Cedar Point/ Kings island will make an announcement after the state with dates
  14. Can i ask what part of this would keep you away, and doesn't Sea World, and Busch Gardens have similar rules?
  15. I trust his site more than a fan Facebook group. That is why I was asking.
  16. Has anyone heard or seen any of the coaster being tested at the point?
  17. They stay at home order has been changed so some rules guidelines still in place. They still need to get approval from the state before they can open. They have not publicly been given permission yet. The earliest, if that was given today, would be around the 4th of July. Kalahari in Ohio I think is just opening the hotel and not the water park again still do not have permission from the state to open. I will go read the Six flag pages to see if any open dates have come out or if it's just them saying you will have to make a reservation when the park opens. Also Ohio has a much bigger issue with all the ride inspectors getting laid off.
  18. I know this is a month old but to me, no real training or prep will be going on till they have an opening date. https://ir.cedarfair.com/news/news-details/2020/Cedar-Fair-Outlines-Measures-Taken-in-Response-to-COVID-19/default.aspx
  19. Does anyone know if anything has been testing at Kings island besides Orion?
  20. They still need to get cleared by the State to open. That might come tomorrow but who really knows. Also do you have real proof that they have hired people?
  21. As of Yesterday most of Ohio will be open by the end of the month. The next thing to talk about would be the bigger gatherings of people. I feel within the next week or so we might have a timeline for Amusement Parks and waterparks to open. They did give the okay to open pools even with many cities saying they will be closed all summer. I thought we would not see parks open at all but everything seems to be moving along much quicker now.
  22. I would say it will be less than that, and a chunk of that weekday crowed is in the water park. I would not see the water park opening at this point in time.
  23. I was wondering with attendance down to 1/3 would you need fast pass, but I see no reason to remove it. They will need any money they can make they might as well keep it since the overhead is so little.
