The line for Steel vengeance is what I am wondering the most about seems like will still be two hours. This is a great point about Gatekeeper. should still be a walk on most of the day. -

Not Negativity just read a few things. https://www.toledoblade.com/local/Coronavirus/2020/05/11/coronavirus-shutdown-idles-state-amusement-ride-inspectors/stories/20200511066 They could of brought them all back. I see them testing to start the laps needed for Inspection. -

They don't Just flip a switch. I think Immediately was a term of let us start not to prep the park. At some point, you get in a holding pattern till you have to okay for the final details. None of the rides have been signed off to open for the year. That takes more than a day to make happen -

I feel like the word sued is the wrong word but what do I know. It's to the point when they have played nice and I'm sure to point they have spent money to make it safe now please let us open. Sadly you have to look at this bigger than just cedar point. The fact how much the city is hurting. I saw a Bk is not going to open back up till the park opens. -

I'd buy that on a t-shirt. Someone makes a shirt that is a dumpster on fire that says 2020 on it. I find it pretty funny. -

Magnum seems to be testing. I would Guess They have been told that they can start prepping to open. Then the State will make the announcement in the next few days. Then Cedar Point/ Kings island will make an announcement after the state with dates -

They stay at home order has been changed so some rules guidelines still in place. They still need to get approval from the state before they can open. They have not publicly been given permission yet. The earliest, if that was given today, would be around the 4th of July. Kalahari in Ohio I think is just opening the hotel and not the water park again still do not have permission from the state to open. I will go read the Six flag pages to see if any open dates have come out or if it's just them saying you will have to make a reservation when the park opens. Also Ohio has a much bigger issue with all the ride inspectors getting laid off. -

I know this is a month old but to me, no real training or prep will be going on till they have an opening date. https://ir.cedarfair.com/news/news-details/2020/Cedar-Fair-Outlines-Measures-Taken-in-Response-to-COVID-19/default.aspx -

They still need to get cleared by the State to open. That might come tomorrow but who really knows. Also do you have real proof that they have hired people? -

As of Yesterday most of Ohio will be open by the end of the month. The next thing to talk about would be the bigger gatherings of people. I feel within the next week or so we might have a timeline for Amusement Parks and waterparks to open. They did give the okay to open pools even with many cities saying they will be closed all summer. I thought we would not see parks open at all but everything seems to be moving along much quicker now. -

I would say it will be less than that, and a chunk of that weekday crowed is in the water park. I would not see the water park opening at this point in time. -

I was wondering with attendance down to 1/3 would you need fast pass, but I see no reason to remove it. They will need any money they can make they might as well keep it since the overhead is so little. -

That would be a cool spot for a log ride, but sadly rumors have been floating around for years that Cedar Creek Mine Ride will be the next coaster to leave Cedar point also do not see them building one with the disasters that were shot the rapids. If they do something in that spot they would build some kind of new roller coaster. just my .02 cents -

Would you be willing to sign a waiver saying you know the risk and entering at your own risk? https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200416005890/en/Cedar-Fair-Outlines-Measures-Response-COVID-19 That is what I was talking about not hiring. So thinks might have changed over the last few weeks but they did more layoffs then hiring. -

They have also cut a lot of maintenance staff hours right now. It seems like they would not want to pay them to test rides with no start date in sight. -

They don't have the staff to start testing rides at this time. You will see job fairs posted before the rides test. What they have said is that it will take 6 to 8 weeks to open once they get the okay from the State. -

I just show that about the city. I have been keeping an eye on this.I just really enjoy going up to the Lake and Cedar Point. If people can not go out on the lake or say go to put Inn Bay that will all hurt them and the city around Sandusky. Just know your next trip to the point might look Different, might have fewer hotels to pick from. Might be worth trying to leave the park to support a local restaurant -

This is good for PR and a strong Business move. People will be happy that they get 2021 for free maybe and maybe few months in 2020. Most peoples passes should already be paid off that should help increase in-park spending in 2021. Some people might also pick up passes know that they will get 2021 for free. Bringing some cash in to help with the times right now.
